Chapter 2424

After the chaos, Denver was carried by the Hamiltons’ family doctor for emergency treatment.

Just like that, the atmosphere amid the crowd suddenly became very tense.

The Hamiltons broke into cold sweat as they stared at the fragments on the ground, scared witless.

“Do you believe me now?” Harvey smiled lightly.

Zina, however, refused to stand down. She put on a brave facade and screeched, “Harvey, Third Brother

fainting might just be accidental. What happened to him didn’t prove anything!”

“Do you still need proof?”

Harvey kept on smiling. He picked up one of the fragments and flicked it with his finger, causing it to land

in the open courtyard.

The midday sun happened to shine on that fragment, bright golden rays falling on it.

Hiss! The next moment, an ugly cry broke out.

Strands of black yin rose in the sky like smoke, turning into what was akin to an extremely hideous

grimace. Resentful screams rang out, and soon, the residual yin energy dissipated under the sun.

Crack!

The remaining fragments trembled, before turning into powder and vanished the moment the yin energy

dissipated.

“This should be ample proof, right?” Harvey looked indifferent.

“That was just a fragment. If the Feng Shui plate was touched by any of the Hamiltons, it’d be a disaster.”

“Plus, the Feng Shui viewed using this Feng Shui plate contains yin. Even if you use Feng Shui to

resolve the Hamiltons’ current problems, it’s just a temporary stopgap.”

“It’s very likely the Hamiltons still wouldn’t have any clue about this, even if they die of illness three or five

years later.”

“I only hope that this is accidental, and not done deliberately by the Five Virtues Temple…”

Fabian suddenly narrowed his eyes at Harvey’s words.

Scarlett’s face instantly turned ugly.

“Father, why do you trust Harvey so much?” Zina saw the expression on her father’s face and nearly

vomited blood from it.

“Can’t you see that he’s just spewing garbage? He’s just trying to drive a wedge between us and the Five

Virtues Temple!”

Zina wanted to strangle Harvey to death more than anything

She finally got to enter the Five Virtues Temple. If she was left out because of this, what would she do?!

Fabian took a deep look at Zina. He suddenly smiled before assuring her, “Don’t worry. I know what I’m

doing.”

Bang!

A loud sound broke the air as Scarlett suddenly stood up, her face filled with icy determination.” It seems

that my weight isn’t enough. As such, I couldn’t convince Sir Hamilton to trust me and be at ease.”

“To think Sir Hamilton is willing to believe the nonsense of a charlatan!”

“You doubt the sincerity of the Five Virtues Temple, to boot!”

“If that’s the case, I apologize for my intrusion. I ‘ll leave this instant!”

After her incensed declaration, Scarlett spun on her heels and stormed out of the hall.

When she passed by Harvey, the coldness in her glare was palpable.

“S-senior! Senior!”

Seeing that Scarlett was leaving, Zina hurriedly followed after her.

However, Fabian’s calm expression didn’t change even at Scarlett’s angry departure. He only asked the

servant to serve a cup of coffee after she was gone.

Harvey took a sip of the coffee before turning to Fabian and saying, “Sir Hamilton, perhaps the Five

Virtues Temple truly didn’t have any bad intentions.”

“Maybe they didn’t know that there was something wrong with that Feng Shui plate.’

“I’m sure they didn’t mean any harm to the Hamiltons.”

“Of course, the Five Virtues Temple having no bad intentions doesn’t mean that Scarlett is the same…”

“Perhaps she has been used as a pawn by someone who wants you to die sooner?”

“For example, Vince York…”

Harvey looked indifferent as he said this, as though he was speaking of insignificant matters. However,

Fabian’s face turned grim upon his conjecture.
