Not knowing whether they saw through her thoughts or if it was time, the door suddenly swung open. The two thugs stood aside
while someone pushed a food cart in. The three looked foreign.
Without saying a word, the person parked the cart next to the table, opened the lid, and took out the dishes individually. The aroma
was enticing as Lily looked on, only to discover the dishes were local.
Moreover, they were her favorite foods. There were fajitas, pot roasts, tater tots, etcetera. The table was full of various dishes, a
feast, even for her eyes. After laying out the food, the person glanced at Lily before pushing the cart out.
Lily sat down, looking at the table full of food. She knew they were trying to convey a message. They knew her well, even up to
what she liked eating. Since they had gone to such lengths to bring her here, they would not simply poison her food and end

However, there was no guarantee they would not tamper with the food. After all, these people were experts in virology.
Although she was hungry, she did not rush to eat. First, she leaned over to look, then sniffed the dishes. Nothing seemed
suspicious, at least from her knowledge of pharmacology. Once she was satisfied with her observation, she began to eat.
No matter where she was, she would not neglect her well-being. She had to take care of herself and the children in her stomach to
find a way out.
She quietly enjoyed the meal, taking nearly half an hour to finish. After setting her utensils down, she let out a satisfying burp. The
door opened again almost as soon as she put down her utensils. The sperson from before silently cleared the table.
Lily looked at him and asked, "When can | meet your boss?"
The person glanced at her, his eyes full of confusion. Judging from his appearance, it seemed like he did not understand her.
Lily curled her lips and repeated the question in another language. However, the other party just waved his hand and did not
answer. He finished tidying up and left without making a sound, just as he had entered.
It made Lily suspect he was mute.
After he left, the door closed again, and nobody cto check on her or ask her anything. Even Rick, who had brought her here,
seemed to have vanished into thin air.

It was unusually quiet here, so quiet that one could hear a pin drop. Lily turned on the television, but there was no signal. They had
the signal blocked as well. At this point, Lily had no idea what these people were planning. Everything was just too strange.
The following two days were even more bizarre. Every day, at a fixed time, someone would deliver her meals. They were a wide
variety of her favorite dishes, but the taste was not as authentic.
From the flavors and cooking techniques, she knew local chefs did not prepare it. They could only imitate the dishes' appearance
but not capture the essence. Fortunately, she could eat her fill, and she was not picky. She made sure to eat enough every day.
However, no one else cexcept the two guards at the door and the person who delivered the food. These three people would
not respond to her no matter what she said or asked. It was as if they were deaf.
No matter how resilient she was, she gradually becagitated under such circumstances. She felt frustrated, mainly because
this dragged on for too long. After all, the less she knew about the changes in the situation outside, the less confident she felt.
