Kaywhin hesitated, knowing what Yelena meant. His ears reddened slightly.
“But… if we don’t leave now, we’ll be late for the banquet.”
“…”
“So long that it’ll make us late? The maids applied it so easily, I thought that I would be able to do so too…”
“Yelena.”
“I’m just kidding.”
Yelena laughed upon seeing a flustered Kaywhin’s eyes quiver.
After teasing her husband, she put her hand to his face without speaking. Instead of soft skin, her fingertips touched the hard and cold surface of his mask.
“…Should I take it off?”
“No.”
Yelena shook her head.
It was indeed awkward, but for some reason… it made things feel .

[You two really go at it anytime and anywhere, huh?]
‘Yeah, we do.’
Inside the shaking carriage, Yelena retorted to the Holy Sword’s voice that echoed in her head.
Yelena and Kaywhin used teleportation magic to be transported right in front of the royal castle’s entrance.
The Black Tower had sent a few of their certified top sorcerers, instead of Sidrion, who was still grappling with the red gem powder. Thanks to the sorcerers’ hard work, the ducal couple was able to arrive at the royal castle with haste and ease. They were currently riding a carriage to the castle where the party was being hosted.
[Why? Are you beasts? Is there a ghost that was never able to kiss anyone attached to you or something…]
‘I guess so.’
[You beast! You’re a beast that can see ghosts!]
‘Sure, sure.’
It had already been a fortnight since Yelena started hearing the Holy Sword’s voice. It was no longer unusual or bothersome to her. She replied indifferently to the voice in her head and stared at her husband’s belt.
Lately, Kaywhin had been going around with the Holy Sword in his belt, per Yelena’s request that he hold on to the Holy Sword.
The sword that only her husband could wield, which, by the way, Yelena hadn’t bothered trying to wield herself. She wasn’t a swordswoman. She had never even trained her body to be able to handle a dagger, let alone a sword.
Even if the Holy Sword didn’t reject her, she’d probably end up exhausted after waving the sword around a few times and quit. So, there was no point in her trying to wield it.
Yelena stared at the Holy Sword quietly and then spoke in her head.
‘Holy Sword.’
[My name is Terremore. Well… you can also call me Terry, if you insist.]
Yelena scowled after hearing the sword’s nickname, which she hadn’t really been curious about.
‘Anyhow, why don’t you know anything? You’re the Holy Sword after all.’
[Don’t know anything, you say?!]
‘You don’t. You know that I have the power, but you don’t even know what to call that power…’
[Ah, humans are the ones who put names to things as they please, so how am I supposed to know? Just call it the “Holy Sword liberation power” or something.]

[Th-that’s…]
The Holy Sword hesitated.
‘You see, you don’t know anything.’
[Is he a descendant of that person? No. That’s impossible. They look too different from each other to be related.]
‘That person?’
The horse carriage stopped.
“We have arrived.”
A servant opened the carriage door.
Kaywhin got off first and then helped Yelena get her feet on the ground. After they got off the carriage, they saw a brilliant red light shining from inside the castle where the party was being held.
They made their way inside the castle. Right before they entered the party, Yelena suddenly opened her mouth.
“I just remembered something.”
“Yes?”
“Darling, this is your first time attending a party with a partner, right?”
Kaywhin looked down at Yelena with a puzzled look on his face, as if he didn’t know why she was asking.
