The body of the man stood without any movement, his head missing with the blue light glowing in the tubes that were entering and leaving his body was slowly dimming down.

The dragon finally breathed out in relief, igniting the air in front of his mouth, 'Is it over now?'

The tall cyborg with red glowing eyes slowly walked towards the headless body, his steps lethargic and unsteady, his two glowing blades dragging with their tips on the ground, leaving behind trails in the soft soil.

"So this is the end, my friend... "

The man dropped to his knees in front of the headless body. A crystal clear tear came out of his human eye, flowing down his wrinkled cheek. He pointed his long black blade with glowing red edges towards his hearth. The shiny sharp tip was slowly moving forwards, closing towards his bare exposed chest.

The dragon watched the whole scene in greed, 'Come on, kill yourself and give me your body!'. He kinda felt bad about how evil his thoughts sounded, but he knew that they weren't 'You are not even real. You are just a shade of your original self!'

Suddenly the man's arm stopped, the sharp red glowing edge being just a fingernail length from his skin.

"No, someone needs to remain and continue the legacy of Hyperion!"

Vesuvius felt like rolling his eyes at the annoying theatrics, his heart beating fast as he just wanted to rush down there to collect his loot.

'Come on, give me your material!' all of his instincts were screaming at him to kill the man to get even larger rewards. But he shook his head, not because of some moral, but because he wasn't sure that he would get away alive, 'The blue one was strong... without him getting distracted by the red one, he would be deadly. Also, there is a chance that all of the mechs would go berserk attacking me.'

The man stood up, his red eyes facing towards the black sky as he rose up both of his blades, his voice booming through the battlefield, "Your commanding officer is dead! Now, as stated by protocol five, the highest ranking officer on this forgotten planet will take over command! And that is me."

A bright red glowing ring of energy erupted out of his blades, spreading in a circle through the battlefield. As the energy swept through the blue-eyed mechs, the blue light in these eyes vanished with their bodies becoming limp. An instant later, their eyes flared up in bright red light.

Vesuvius looked at the man standing on the ground, his eyes trying to discern any possible attack, 'Is this trap?'.

He had a bad feeling about it, but he couldn't resist the temptation of the reward, so he tried to calm himself down, 'It can't be a trap... he would have already attacked me.'

The dragon spread his wings widely and glided down in a large spiral. His muscles were tense, and his eyes were focused on the cyborg. He expected some kind of betrayal or ambush, but he had no choice but to land to get his reward, as his draconic heart was beating loudly just at the mention of the reward.

The dragon landed right in front of the man, his clawed legs crushing the ground as they touched it. His large wings fold on his back.

Two red eyes fixed and looked at the dragon as the cyborg slowly rose up one of his blades. The blade slowly turned, aiming toward the dragon's head.

'I knew it; it sounded suspicious from the beginning!'

Vesuvius opened his mouth, an orange light radiating out as magma quickly climbed up his throat.

The man opened his mouth, and the calm voice of the old man came out, ignoring the orange light, "I officially knight you as a Knight of Hyperion. This shall be your reward for your passion and heroism in the war! "

The dragon closed his mouth, swallowing back the hot liquid, as the man swung his glowing blade, making a weird flowery pattern in the air.

'I am really too paranoid...'

'Nothing extra, just regular class title and title for clearing dungeon under certain conditions. Not bad, but they are not something game-changing or something rare. Well, that effects of empowering body augmentation may be better than intended if it has effects on the runes too...' Suddenly the ground under the dragon shook, interrupting his thoughts.

All of the mechs and the cyborg froze, their bodies losing all of their colours, turning black and white. Soon they started to fade, their bodies becoming more and more transparent, looking like ghosts. The whole land shook again, with all of the lands gradually darkening.
