Chapter 75 Chapter 75 Summer Frost POV 2351 It felt like something was pressingdown wherever I was as I tried to open my eyes. The blurry white ceiling greeted me, along with the banging headache which didn't fail to welcme also.

My hand weakly found its way down my abdomen, but I didn't feel any pain there.

"Summer... You are awake? Are you ok?" Ca familiar voice which I remembered hearing before I passed out earlier, and as I slowly tilted my head in the direction where the voice cfrom, a figure was towering overwith a worried expression on his face which was still blurry. It was Hunter.

"Where am I?" My voice cout weakly and in. W a whisper as my eyes went close on their own, too heavy to be held open.

"You are in the hospital. I will go get the doctor," He turned to leave, but I held his hand and slowly shook my head.

"Helpup, please," "You are still weak. You need rest. Wait here while I go get the doctor," He patted my shoulder gently before he left, and shortly after, he walked inside again, but this time, he wasn't alone. My vision had cleared up a bit, and I could see the young man wearing a white coat, standing beside him. It was obvious that he was the doctor.

"What's wrong with me, doc?" I managed to ask as the doctor examined my body, and after he was done, he looked atand gavesomething that looked like an assuring smile.

"You were suffering from infection which caused your abdominal pain, coupled with you've not had good rest for a while. You've been given injections.

You'll be fine by the tthe IV drip finishes," It was then my attention was drawn to the IV that was infused in my hand. I barely noticed it since I woke up.

"Thank you," "You should get srest..." The doctor paused, then turned to Hunter and patted his shoulder.

"Callif you two need anything, and make sure she gets enough of rest," "Thank you, doc," After the doc left, Hunter sat on the chair beside the bed, and held my hand worriedly.

"How are you feeling? Are you hungry? Do you wantto get you something to eat?" He placed his hand on my forehead briefly.

"Hmm. I'm fine," I managed to nod my head.

Silence crept into the atmosphere afterwards.

"What's the time?" "12:40am," A gasp tore through my throat.

"I already called Chloe and informed her about what happened. She'll cover with the kids tomorrow, so you don't have to worry about them. You should get srest," Slowly, I nodded my head and rested on the bed even though I wanted to disappear from this space. I hated to be admitted in the hospital.

"Dad... Did you tell him about what happened?" I looked at him, praying silently that he didn't.

"No, I didn't. There was no need to do that," breathed out in relief.

It's crazy how I desperately wanted to contact Xander even though Hunter was here with me, doing his best to make sure that I'm fine. It won't be fair on his end.

"Forget it," I was about to put the phone away when it beeped and a text from Instagram popped on the screen. I swear I would not have clicked on the message if it didn't cfrom Xander.

'I've been trying to reach Summer but could not. Have you been able to reach her? You don't have to givecrazy attitude. I'm not asking you because I want. I have no one else to contact. I'm worried about her. Is she fine? She's not taking my calls' the text, and a smile formed on my lips for no reason.

'It's me, Summer. I fell ill and currently at the hospital now. I left my phone at home' My fingers could not resist sending him a reply, so I did.

"You should get srest. Wait for a few minutes before you lay on the bed so you won't suffer indigestion later," He advised, and I nodded.

"Do you want to watch movies? I feel you'll be bored just sitting there and doing nothing," He on the televisie offered to switch but I quickly declined. My eyes were too heavy, and even if they were not I was not in the mood for that. Watching a movie was the last thing on my mind.

Hunter's phone started to ring and I wondered who would be calling him at this tof the night.
