279 Don’t Bully My Dad
With the little girl around the house, Zhang Yu Han had to behave himself. He wanted to take advantage to bully Bai Qi a little bit, but he just could not do it in front of Bai Xi Xi. He could not show a bad example.
Zhang Yu Han could not hide his uneasiness when he heard that Bai Qi had to look after his little sister and raised her.
Bai Qi’s situation was almost the same as a single parent.
Just like his wife, Zhang Yu Han was very worried about his daughter. Raising a child was not easy. Zhang Li Xue was his little princess who he had pampered from birth. He did not want to see his daughter suffer any grievance.
However, seeing that Zhang Li Xue had a good relationship with Bai Xi Xi made him feel more at ease.
Moreover, this little girl reminded him of his little princess when she was very little.
The only difference was that Bai Xi Xi was quiet and obedient, while his daughter was slightly mischievous.
A sigh escaped him as he saw the smile on his daughter’s face.
Seeing that she was happy, Zhang Yu Han decided to put aside his worry, and let everything flow naturally. Anyway, the two were only in their phase to get to know each other well. Who knows what will happen next?

This was the first time that Bai Qi and Bai Xi Xi came to visit the house. Naturally, Li Qin Yao had to ask the auntie to prepare a few more dishes as well.
It was estimated that it might take a while before dinner will be served.
As everyone else was not paying attention to him, Zhang Yu Han walked over to Bai Qi and invited him for a basketball match.
He had heard from both Wei Jun Hao and Qi Zheng that Bai Qi was good at basketball. Of course, as someone who liked the sport a little too much, Zhang Yu Han wanted to see just how good his skill would be.
Fortunately, Bai Qi still remembered that Zhang Yu Han had mentioned about having a match with him. Although he was unsure whether the man was serious, Bai Qi still brought his shoes and spare clothes with him.
When Zhang Li Xue heard the sound of the basketball in the backyard, she immediately pulled little Xi Xi to look at what was going on.
Seeing that her father and boyfriend were on the basketball court made her stunned.
Once she recovered, Zhang Li Xue walked over to her father and spoke, “Daddy, what are you doing?”
Zhang Yu Han was stretching up a little when his daughter appeared. He smiled and spoke, “Since there is still time before dinner, I decided to have a basketball match with Bai Qi.” His brow furrowed. “What’s wrong with it?”
Zhang Li Xue glanced at her boyfriend who was practicing with the ball. She leaned over to her father and spoke, “Daddy, I think that this match would be unfair to you.”
The man was touched to hear his daughter’s words. However, his expression changed again when he heard her next sentence.
“After all, Bai Qi is younger.”
Zhang Yu Han gritted his teeth. “Li Xue, are you saying that your Daddy is old?”
The girl finally realized that he had said the wrong thing. Zhang Li Xue hugged her father’s arm and acted coquettishly with him. “Of course, not. Daddy, you are still young and energetic.”
Zhang Yu Han scoffed, knowing that his daughter was trying to coax him. However, he still could not bear to say a word upon seeing his daughter’s adorable face.
“Moreover, Bai Qi is really good at basketball.”
Unfortunately, Zhang Li Xue was looking at her boyfriend and failed to see that her father was unhappy to hear her praising another man.
Zhang Yu Han glanced at Bai Qi and made up his mind to defeat him. “You have practiced with him before?”
“Well, a few times.” Zhang Li Xue looked at her father with a sheepish look on her face. She could not mention that her uncles also had a match against Bai Qi and lost.
Zhang Yu Han started to consider his daughter’s words.
He knew that his daughter was the best at basketball. After all, he was the one who taught her to play. Since his daughter had complimented Bai Qi’s skill, then, his skill should be really good.

A sigh escaped him. Zhang Yu Han patted his daughter’s shoulder and spoke, “Alright. I know. But, we’re only playing around until dinner is ready. It’s not too serious.”
Zhang Li Xue pursed her lips. Her father always took basketball seriously, unless he was playing against her mother.
However, now that her father had said it that way... Zhang Li Xue could not come up with any reason to stop their match. After all, they were only playing around.
After saying a few words to her father, Zhang Li Xue walked over to Bai Qi. The man was wearing his basketball jersey and the muscle on his arms was distracting her a little bit.
The man had hugged her in these arms a few times, but the number of times she get to peek at his strong arms was limited.
“Li Xue?”
His voice snapped her out of her trance. Her cheek turned slightly red. She could not help but scold herself for having such improper thoughts.
Hopefully, Bai Qi would never know what was going on in her mind.
Suddenly, the man placed his palm on her forehead.
“Your face is a little red.” His brow furrowed, thinking that his girlfriend had caught a fever.
Zhang Li Xue took a step back. “It’s a little hot.” Then, she flashed him a smile. “Don’t worry about me.”
Bai Qi finally heaved in relief upon seeing that his girlfriend was really alright.
“Bai Qi, you...” Zhang Li Xue hesitated. “I know that you are good with basketball, but don’t bully my dad too much.”
Bai Qi chuckled upon hearing her words. “Don’t think too much. We are only playing around.”
