MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith-Novel
Chapter 225 Drastic SituationWhoosh!
Just as the butcher had sensed the sharp air behind his back, a spear tip barely scratched the right of his face, inflicting a small wound on the butcher's cheek. Feeling the slightly cold sensation that slowly dripped down, the butcher turned around with a furious expression, swinging the knife he wielded with great strength.
However, contrary to his expectations of his blade clashing against a spear tip, the butcher instead came face to face with a saber, the sound of colliding metal resounding throughout the alley in response.
Noticing that the strength of the one wielding the saber was significantly lower than his, judging by the fact the saber moved downwards whenever he put a bit more force into his blade, the butcher took note of this, a malicious grin appearing on his face as he exerted all of his strength on his knife in one go.
Clang!
Caught off guard by the sudden increase of the butcher's strength, the one wielding the saber lost his grip over the weapon, effectively leaving him open for the butcher's wrath.
"I don't know where that spear came from, but I guess I'll find out once I kill you." Letting out a light cackle as he charged forward to slash down on the now unarmed man's torso, the butcher's attempt was quickly rendered ineffective as a blunt item collided with his chest, forcing him to stop his charge midway.

Just as the butcher had taken grasp of the blunt item on his chest, a jet of what seemed to be blood vapor shot out of the end of the blunt item, containing enough force to send the butcher flying, crashing into the wall behind him with a thud.
Thud!
"You alright, Tryndall?" Retrieving the spear as he picked up the saber on the ground, Valyr sent a message on the party chat, wondering if the one that had accompanied him was unharmed.
"I'm fine." Receiving the saber from Valyr's hands, Tryndall let out a light sigh as he sent a message through the party chat in response. "I underestimated the difference between our stats."
Obtaining the message, Valyr shrugged his shoulders as he turned to face the butcher, who was cursing from the pain of his back slamming into the wall behind him.
"No problem. After all, the stats we obtain on the butcher from [Analysis] only tell a part of the story. Only by experiencing it firsthand would we be able to truly gauge how big of a difference there is in strength."
"Anyways, think you can continue?" As Valyr asked this question through the party chat, Tryndall looked at him and nodded in response before gripping onto the handle of his saber even tighter. On the other hand, after standing up once the pain he felt finally died down, the butcher shifted his gaze onto the two presences that were in his field of vision, his face expressing the great fury he felt from being unable to retaliate against Valyr's attacks.
"Die!" Using the rage he felt to fuel his actions, the butcher abandoned all thoughts of protecting himself as he threw himself headfirst towards the two, swinging his blade without a care in the world.
Taking note of the butcher's actions, Tryndall and Valyr looked at each other for a bit and nodded before heading in opposite directions, forcing the butcher to decide on which among the two to follow.
"You!" Unsurprisingly, the butcher decided to chase Valyr down, recalling how utterly weakless he felt during the times his blade clashed against the man's spear.
With that, the butcher exerted the entirety of his strength to hasten his steps, swiftly reducing the distance between them as both Valyr and the butcher eventually left the alley.
Fortunately, even though the two of them had left the alley, there were no random passerby that the butcher could take advantage of, allowing Valyr to taunt the butcher as he sent a message through the party chat in the meantime.
Eventually, the butcher caught up to Valyr and let out a maniacal cackle, inwardly letting out a sigh of relief after he had finally cornered Valyr to a wall. Gazing at the indifferent eyes beneath the dark fabric covering most of Valyr's face, the knife the butcher wielded started to glow a faint blue, showing that the butcher had infused a bit of his mana into the weapon.
"Now... will you tell me who you are? Or will you resist till the bitter end before I find that out for myself?" Hearing the question that came out of the butcher's mouth, Valyr could not help but snicker as the gaze he had towards the butcher now contained a hint of ridicule.
"Did you really think I'd tell you that easily?"

Just as Valyr had responded to the butcher's question with a question of his own, a dagger unknowingly pierced through the back of the butcher, causing the latter to stagger forward as his expression swiftly turned into that of panic.
Noticing the panic that was now evident on the butcher's face, a light smirk crept up on Valyr's face as he briefly let out a malevolent chuckle. After that, he took in a deep breath before slamming his head against the butcher's head at full force, swiftly putting the latter's senses into disarray.
Thud!
"Arghhh!!!" Unluckily for the butcher, instead of falling forward, the butcher fell on his back, allowing the dagger that was already embedded on his back to plunge even deeper.
Not long after, four more throwing daggers seemingly appeared out of thin air, piercing through the butcher's limbs with enough force to pin the man on the ground.
Letting out yet another wail of pain from the throwing daggers digging deep into his limbs, it was only then did the butcher question himself as to why he had antagonized such ferocious people in the first place.
Just as he was recalling the main reason why he eventually found himself in the situation he was currently in, a sharp blade appeared in front of his neck, causing him to freeze up as he noticed that the other person from before was now accompanying Valyr once more.
"It seems the tables have turned, don't you think?" Nodding at Tryndall, Valyr moved closer to the butcher before posing the question to the latter. "In any case, let me take a page from you and ask you this."
"Will you tell us what we want to know..."
"Or will you resist till the bitter end before we find that out for ourselves?"
