Volume 6 Chapter 92 - Collecting Resources
A red line went out from the Stantine Duchy, crossing the Black Rice Wasteland and going north into the Sack Kingdom. It followed along the coast heading north as it passed through the Doran Kingdom that was north of the Sack Kingdom before going further north into the Kakidon Kingdom. It then cut east across several small countries in the north before finally reaching the Marlow Empire that took a large piece of the map.
Xu Yi took back the hand drawing this line and took two steps back as his eyes followed this red line again. Finally, it reached the end which was the Marlow Empire’s capital Angelo City and he gave a satisfied nod.
This red line was the new road that would connect the Frestech Chamber of Commerce to the northern countries. Once it was built, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s products could head to the northern countries through this road, which would allow them to popularize magic machines in these countries.
At the same time, this road was another access route for the Frestech Chamber of Commerce to the Marlow Empire. It worked with the road that passed through the Lampuri Kingdom, the Drake Duchy, and the Falk Kingdom, as well as the sea path through the endless seas. With these three paths working together, it would bring the Frestech Chamber of Commerce closer to the Marlow Empire and the northern countries.
After thinking about it, Xu Yi continued the red line to the right of the Marlow Empire. He drew a dashed line past several countries in the northeast before heading south, bringing it to the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom in the southeast. Then he continued the line from the south in the Stantine Duchy, finally ending at the harbour in the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom.
This complete trade route was a more remote plan.
If he could accomplish this, it would mean that the Frestech Chamber of Commerce had succeeded in promoting magic machines across all the countries on the Sines Continent, which meant he was close to his dream.
But if he looked carefully, he found that there was a large blank in this trade route which was the Candra Empire.
Until now, the Candra Empire had only built less than five hundred kilometers of road in their southwest province. Not to mention compared to the Stantine Duchy and the Lampuri Kingdom that had roads all over, even compared to the Drake Duchy and the Mirando Duchy, they were far from comparing.
Although the Candra Empire was interested in building roads, after several months, they still hadn’t implemented it.
Chairman Cruise was very excited about the Candra Empire, but the Amrit Chamber of Commerce had never received a construction order for roads from the Candra Empire during these months.
Compared to the Marlow Empire which had already finished three roads that were over two thousand kilometers, which made the Amrit Chamber of Commerce completely focus on the Marlow Empire.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs for the Candra Empire.....they could only wait.
However, this was not what Xu Yi wanted to see.
The Candra Empire’s territory was very wide, taking up more than half of the southern continent. If the Stantine Duchy which the Frestech Chamber of Commerce was in, in the southern corner wanted to go to other countries, they had to pass through the Candra Empire.
However, the Candra Empire still wasn’t willing to cooperate which greatly blocked Xu Yi’s plan.
This large blank was like a fishbone in Xu Yi’s throat, it looked uncomfortable no matter how he looked at it.
“If there wasn’t something that broke the balance like Arch Magi in this world.....” Xu Yi couldn’t help thinking.
If he wasn’t worried about the nine Arch Magi in the Candra Empire, Xu Yi would have been able to easily defeat the Candra Empire’s army with the current Frestech Chamber of Commerce guards.
But it was because of these powerful Arch Magi that the Frestech Chamber of Commerce guards couldn’t beat right now that Xu Yi had to think of other methods.
“Forget it, I can only hope that the Candra Empire won’t be this stupid.”
Xu Yi turned his gaze away from the Candra Empire and turned to the endless seas that weren’t that big on the map, but were several times bigger than the Sines Continent in reality.
There were three blue lines that came from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s main base. One was heading north past the north shore to reach the north of the Marlow Empire.
One went south, past the Stantine Duchy before heading east and ending in the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom in the southeast.
The final one went directly west, entering the endless seas and stopping at the edge. ????????????????????????????. ????????????
This line represented the Frestech Chamber of Commerce guard fleet that Xu Yi had sent to explore the western seas.
This fleet had explored island by island to the west. Although this meant that they moved very slowly, it was also very steady. Up to now, they had already gone six hundred kilometers into the seas and controlled a large part of the sea that was even bigger than the Stantine Duchy.
According to the reports sent back by this fleet, there were all kinds of resources on these islands, as well as other sea resources which could be described as bountiful.
If they could control these seas, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce would have a solid backing and wouldn’t be controlled by others in terms of resources.
Thinking of this resource problem, Xu Yi slightly knitted his brows.
The Stantine Duchy wasn’t big and there were few resources, so the large amount of resources and Magic Crystals the Frestech Chamber of Commerce needed came from the surrounding countries.
Because the magic machine industry was developing quickly in the Lampuri Kingdom and they needed more mineral resources and Magic Crystals, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce found it hard to get these resources from the Lampuri Kingdom.
The resources that the Frestech Chamber of Commerce needed, other than coming from the Black Rice Wasteland came from the Rudson Kingdom, the Drake Duchy, the Mirando Duchy, the Norton Duchy, and the other small countries.
Recently the Frestech Chamber of Commerce also started getting mineral resources from the Sack Kingdom which had satisfied their needs.
But as these countries were influenced by the Frestech Chamber of Commerce and their magic machine industries grew, it would mean that they would have a greater demand for resources just like the Lampuri Kingdom. It could be seen that it wouldn’t be realistic if the Frestech Chamber of Commerce needed mineral resources from them in the future.
The reason why Xu Yi sent the Frestech Chamber of Commerce guards to explore the seas was to prepare for a rainy day.
But because of the limits of their technology, the current Frestech Chamber of Commerce couldn’t easily mine the various resources on these islands. If they wanted to mine them, it would cost them quite a bit which wasn’t efficient.
So the most urgent problem for the Frestech Chamber of Commerce right now was to find different sources of resources.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThey clearly couldn’t just rely on the countries in the southwest corner, so Xu Yi had to turn his eyes even further.
Ten days ago, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce and the Falk Kingdom signed a new agreement. The Frestech Chamber of Commerce would invest two million gold coins in the Falk Kingdom to build five household magic machine factories, as well as helping them build three thousand and four hundred kilometers of road. In return, they would obtain the rights to three iron mines, two non-ferrous metal mines, and five Magic Crystal mines for thirty years.
Eight days ago, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s transport fleet brought back the representative from the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom. After two days of discussions, they signed a new contract with the Frestech Chamber of Commerce.
The Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom would help the Frestech Chamber of Commerce open a mineral resource center in their kingdom, helping the Frestech Chamber of Commerce gather various mineral resources and Magic Crystals in the southeast countries.
The price that the Frestech Chamber of Commerce paid was to give the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom some household magic machine technology, as well as building a household magic machine production base with the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom, while also working with the Amrit Chamber of Commerce to improve the road conditions in the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom.
Other than this, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce sold five hundred thousand gold coins worth of military magic machines to the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom, while also training the guards of the thirteen companies, making sure that they could use these military magic machines.
After trading with the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom for over a year, not only did they have a high fame in the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom, their fame among the southeast countries was also quite good.
Not to mention the household magic machines, the various agricultural magic machines and construction magic machines were also greatly welcomed in the southeast countries.
In just the ten months of this year, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce had transported over seven thousand agricultural magic machines to the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom and their surrounding countries, which had a value of over eight million gold coins.
With how much these countries wanted these magic machines, the Frestech Chamber of Commerce easily exchanged for mineral rights from these countries.
There were even three small countries that had taken the initiative to contact the Frestech Chamber of Commerce after receiving this news, offering their mineral rights to them. It was all to get the agricultural magic machines, the ways to use them, and the fertilizer from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce.
In the end, other than the southwest countries, the other countries always worried about how to fill the bellies of their citizens.
Now that they knew there was a way to increase their country’s grain yield, they couldn’t help going crazy.
So Xu Yi felt very assured about the countries in the southeast corner of the continent.
Rather, what he worried more about was the closest country to the Stantine Duchy.
