He was always either busy with work, or had to deal with something urgent, whatever that may be!
Whenever he came back, he arranged his schedule so that he would return as soon as Sherry was finished with his
shift! It could not be any more obvious that he was only coming home to see Sherry, the damned bitch!
When Shannon thought of this, she rose to her feet and swept everything off the table, sending them crashing to
the floor.
Celine was aghast and quickly rushed forward, “Miss, be careful! Don’t hurt yourself—”

Before she could finish cautioning Shannon, she received a blow across her face, accompanied by a stern roar.
“Get out!”
Celine could not believe what happened. She put a hand to her cheeks and quickly walked away with tears in her
eyes.

Sherry from the picture!
Sherry went to see Queenie again.
When she was taking a stroll outside, she just happened to see Hailey pushing a cart of delicious food over.
The cart was filled to the brim with freshly made food prepared by the elite chefs. There was a large variety of
food, ranging from piping hot meat that still gave off steam to delicious pastries and desserts.
She could smell it from a mile away and immediately trailed after Hailey until they reached Queenie‘s.
Queenie was used to Sherry visiting her to steal some food by this point. The moment she noticed Sherry entering,
she cast a distracted look at her before turning to the television and putting on a trending show. After Hailey
finished setting up the food on the table, she sat with Sherry and ate with her while watching the show.
Sherry fixed her eyes on the screen while eating. The show was a high school drama, and after only several
seconds of viewing, she frowned in disdain and motioned.
“This is boring. Switch to something else.”
Queenie protested, “This is what I want to watch. You can leave if you don‘t want to watch it.”
Sherry grimaced and diverted her focus back to the roast duck in her hands.
Queenie smirked in satisfaction upon observing how Sherry no longer insisted on changing the show and gave
Soon, she noticed that Hailey was still standing and watching them eat. She gestured at the seat next to her that
was vacant and invited Hailey to join them. “Come on, sit down and watch the show with us.”
Hailey seemed tempted but would not let it show. “It‘s alright, Miss, I‘ll just stand here.”
Queenie suddenly expressed grumpily, “Oh, come on, just sit down when I tell you to!‘
Hailey understood that Queenie was only being kind to her and quickly explained, “Miss, I just think that it‘s rather
inappropriate. You are the master of the family while I am only a lowly servant, so there are certain rules that we
have to obey. I can‘t just simply sit because I want to.”
Queenie frowned and pointed at Sherry. “She‘s of a lower rank than you, but here she is, sitting and eating with me.
If Emerence and the others have something to say, tell them to consult me directly!”

Sherry darted a look at Hailey while nibbling on the roast duck. “Come on and sit down before she kicks your butt.”
Hailey fell silent.
Queenie glared at Sherry suddenly. “Sherry, does it kill you to keep your mouth shut for once?!‘
Sherry turned her attention to the television and kept quiet.
Queenie scoffed and glared at Hailey again. “Sit down before I fire you.”
Hailey thanked her sincerely before finally taking a seat next to her.
That was how they passed the morning.
Around noon, Julie‘s appointed maid entered the room.
Hailey quickly perked up, filled with caution.
The maid addressed Queenie respectfully, “Miss, the madam and Miss Julie want me to inform you that the event is
about to begin.”
Queenie replied with minimal interest , “Tell them I’m not going. I‘m watching a show here.”
The maid was visibly troubled by this and cast a sour look at Sherry who was enjoying herself, filling her stomach
with food as if she was the master of the house. Regretfully, she nodded before excusing herself.
After that, Sherry turned to Queenie and asked suspiciously, “Why aren‘t you going?”
She had always been fond of attending events with Julie, so why the sudden change of heart?
