1538 No Big Deal
Rong Jun told Huo Yao to sit down. “This contains over a thousand steps, so it’s a lot to swallow. Just do what you can and let me know if you notice anything amiss.”
“Sure,” acknowledged Huo Yao.
Rong Jun had other things to do. He opened a glass door leading to an office and stepped in.
He trusted Huo Yao would not do anything unethical like steal his work.
Huo Yao raised her brow. She reached her hand out, pulled out a chair, and sat down.
She proceeded to look at the steps found on the algorithm simulator.
Since it involved a lot of steps, it would probably take ten days straight to go through them one by one manually.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHuo Yao pressed her brow thinking about it. She clicked on the command box and wrote a program in slightly over ten minutes.
The moment she was done, she activated the application.
The algorithm simulator promptly started working on its own.
Huo Yao simply leaned into the seat backrest with her arms crossed doing nothing.
Li Chenhui raised his head and saw Huo Yao sitting on her chair doing nothing except staring at the screen. From the looks of it, she did not know where to start.
Li Chenhui knew why the teacher called Huo Yao over and he felt Rong Jun was deliberately making things difficult for her. He paused before he rolled up his office chair beside her.
“I know this is hard, but once you see the pattern…”
The moment Li Chenhui saw the numbers jumping on the screen, he swallowed his words.
The atmosphere in the laboratory promptly went quiet.
Wen Ping was busy reading the notebook with his head lowered. When he heard what Li Chenhui said, he automatically raised his head and looked in Huo Yao’s direction with a puzzled look on his face.
A few minutes later, the progress bar on the computer reached 100%.
The program had successfully found slightly over ten errors. Huo Yao took note of the problematic areas before she raised her head. “Were you talking to me?”
Li Chenhui was dumbfounded by everything he saw. After snapping out of his shock, he cursed inwardly.
He naturally had nothing to say about patterns. She solved the problem effortlessly by just using a program!
She certainly needed no guidance about finding any pattern!
Li Chenhui smiled sheepishly as he looked at Huo Yao and shook his head. “I take it back. Just pretend I wasn’t here, okay?”
Huo Yao glanced at him quizzically.
Li Chenhui cleared his throat to conceal his embarrassment. “Do you know how to write programs?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Just a little,” replied Huo Yao promptly without making it sound like a big deal.
She certainly did not want more people telling her to transfer to the Physics department like Wu Yue.
Li Chenhui felt she was exceptionally modest and looked at her knowingly.
Huo Yao felt puzzled by the look on his face.
Li Chenhui turned to look at the computer screen. “Are these red items the problematic areas?”
Huo Yao nodded. “Most likely.”
Li Chenhui took the mouse and clicked on one of the areas marked in red. After looking at it, he found minor errors in the formula. The error was very small, so it was near impossible to identify the problem without studying it closely.
He proceeded to click on more red items and all of them contained problems.
Li Chenhui was blown away. He said excitedly, “We have been working on this problem for half a month. I can’t believe you sorted it out so quickly.”
He had to admit that Prof Rong had a keen eye for people since all his disciples were very good.
Wen Ping promptly stood up and walked straight over to look at the computer screen as well.
