Dropping the robes that covered my upper half, the Spear of Noctem materialized within my hand, devouring the blood over the ground and turning it into fuel within me. The air had turned icy cold, with only the whistling of the air vanishing and the moans of the teary eye angel beneath my feet.

Under their prayer to Molock, I felt a power that made my skin crawl, but as the bizarre divinity radiating from these bastards rippled out, the scales over my skin glowed, blocking whatever was sent towards me. But the Angels beneath my feet, alongside those that remain bounded on the cross, began screaming as tears bled from their eyes.

"NOOO!"

Flailing and thrashing around, the white of these Angel's eyes began to bubble before popping as their screams grew even higher.

"Everyone Sacrifices," The larger of the five Balforgren Demons said, stepping toward me as if we were equals, gripping an ax larger than his body. He bore down with a contemptuous eye, "Even if you resist now, it's only a matter of time before your blood turns against you."

"Your eye level," I said, keeping my head straight, "it's too high."

"Eh?"

A blinding spear intent carrying all the properties held to my heart flashed, followed by a mist of blood, as my spear whipped through the confines of space, taking the legs of this foolish Balforgren Demon.

Falling below my eye level, I sneered, "That's better, don't you think? When your soul is taken from Hell's Reincarnations Pool and dies, recognize who took that future of yours." I said as the spear of Noctem radiated a force of Heaven and Hell.

"Je'rr'lo'ven'taa, ' Another Balforgren bellowed, rushing at me, cleaving his ax down to save this slave, but my spear had already shot forward the moment his ax could even move. I skewed my spear through the head of this foolish demon-killing him dead, and I slid my gaze to the oncoming ax and sneered.

Dissolving the ax before the eyes of everyone with my forsaken QI, my divinity exploded as I Shadowed Stepped behind the demon and tapped the back of his head before he could act, at the same time glancing at three Balforgren Demons.

"What did you—"

Turning to face me, I stepped forward as the bones within his body began to dissolve as my darkness targeted his bone. Leaving nothing, the demon I touched collapsed into a husk of skin with a thumping heart.

"You guys might be Empyreans, but if you are not a High God, then you're dead. At least use Molock blessing correctly. Or you might die before you could even land a hit if that's even possible for you." I coldly said as a spike of darkness came from the congealed body of the demon laid out like jello.

"His weapon? How'd it—"

"Doesn't matter; just put some divinity in it; it'll be fine!" One of the three Balforgren Demons shouted as two of them dashed at me, faster than a bolt of lightning.

Tracking them with my eyes, a long katana of pure darkness formed within my hand as I, too, shot forth.

This battle was the best time to train my spearmanship to Paragon. Only when my body, spirit, and skill reach Paragon would I reach the Apex. And if the minimum to be a Paragon was a chaos cycle, I needed to start now.

Even my Almighty Skills needed to reach the rank of Paragon. While they were already unblockable, it was just a skill I could barely learn; it needed to be fine-tuned and tempered through the blood of my enemies.

And right now, I needed to master my spearmanship.

"Die"! The two charging demons howled, whipping their ax at me like there were weightless tools, but I could feel the power to cut through the stars of the heavens within them.

The winds were screaming against my air at the sheer speed but despite their power. The weapons could only dissolve into a mist that vanished into the ether.

Taking advantage of these two Demons losing their weapons. My eyes became locked into a world of strings and nodes. I stared dead at the Weave, and my spear intent howled, like an overbearing dragon, blinding the sun with its devouring dark light and splitting the ground with enough power to slit the heavens; while I made sure to correct any imperfections I saw.

Tearing off the upper body of the Balforgren Demon before me with an upwards sweep, organs spilled over the ground; as his screams reached my ears. I continued my sweep towards the next demon, who had the sense of taking a step back only to lose an arm.

Tears swelled within his eyes, followed by the blood that seemed to gush like a fountain. He howled.

"Weak little shits, you're fucking useless." I snapped, darting in range before he could retreat anymore; the spear of Noctem curled like a great serpent that would make lucifer proud, stealing the head of this demon, leaving only one standing, trembling in utter fear.

Seeing the small tremors racing through his legs, I caught sight of the fear building in his heart, and I knew he would run. Not leaving him the chance, almighty essence flared to life as my katana whipped through the air, catching the neck of his bastard before he knew it.

"And just like that, they're all dead, boring.' I moaned, shaking my head, before shooting my gaze to the female Angel crawling away.

Walking up to her, she shuttered and cried as she heard me approach, " No~NO~."

I indifferently plunged my spear through her skull, killing her while collecting her body and soul. "Sorry, love, but everyone needs to sacrifice; it'll take a hundred years to break into Empyrean King, and the more souls I eat will cut that time; I think it'll only take twenty years to reach King. And if there are more demons and devils, I'll cut that shit down to a few months."

Whipping my sword through thin air with a sliver of Almighty essence, I stole the life of everyone else and took to the skies.

"It's good to be the villain." I cheerfully said, opening up the holocube before sending a message to Avar.

"I need a ride to the Valley of Ser'ven. Time is of the essence; how fast can you get here?"

"Five Minutes; I have your location already. Sit still." She replied, bringing a smile to my face.
