"So, where I am going?" I asked directly; I didn't care whether he wanted to send me out or not. I would have cared if he was feeling due to care for me rather than being driven by self-interest.
"You are going to navar ruin," He replied, controlling the anger that appeared in its eyes of lack of respect.
I don't understand why he gets angry in the first place. Does he think I will be respectful to him after what he did to me?
'Navar ruin,' I said in my mind while my avatar began to scan the directory of the ruins, and soon, the information appeared in front of my avatar. Reading it, a frown couldn't help but appear on my face, as it was not something I had expected.
"This is a pretty important ruin that Grimm; it had been in their hands since it appeared seven centuries ago," He said. "The traffic to the ruin had increased since the war began, and we have been sensing the powerful fluctuation in this ruin for the past four years, including of high Grandmasters," he said.
"Isn't this the resource site?" I asked.
Though I have nothing against the resources sites, and I want to hunt powerful Grandmasters, I was hoping to get something more exciting like stopping the Grimms from doing something dangerous and killing them on the way.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe resource site, compared to that, is a little dull.
"Yes, according to the movement we have observed, it is a resource site," He said, and I could see the crafty glint appearing on its eyes for a second before it had disappeared.
I really missed Lord Whitmore; if it had been him right now, I would have requested him to give me an exciting mission, but with him, I have no chance. Saying something against it will be giving him the pleasure of rejecting me, which I will not do.
"You will be leaving through the silent gate; all the preparations have already finished," He said and sent me the mission order.
There is not much data about the ruin; we have never sent any part to investigate. We rarely do when it comes to resource sites, as they are very highly protected, and the cost of using a silent gate is too high for that.
So, unless we are prepared for a full-blown attack, we rarely attack them. It is the same with the Grimm Monsters; they too rarely attack our resource sites.
"I will see you then, Lord Bishop," I said and walked out of his office with a smile on my face, which disappeared the moment his office doors closed behind me. I do not like this mission, but I will finish it as quickly as I can and return.
The objective of the mission is simple.
It is to destroy the defenses of the ruins that Grimms have put in place and return without alerting any Grimms.
Of course, I will do that, but before that, I will accomplish my own mission, which is to kill the Grimms and harvest their bloodline. I want to reach the absolute peak of leader class in this mission, as only after accomplishing that will I be able to level up to the Master class.
I would not have been this hasty, but luckily, I was able to study the method in the scroll that a small being has provided me. It will help me tremendously if I am able to practice it.
Soon, I reached the hall where the silent gate it. The silent gate is like a normal ruin-breaking teleportation gate, but it is a slightly bigger and deep amber color and using it is hundreds of times more costly than a regular rule-breaking teleportation gate.
The cost is worth it when considering it could breach through the enemies' fortified ruins silently without alerting them.
"It is ready for you, Grandmaster Zaar," said the middle-aged woman and saluted. She is surprisingly a peak Master class powerhouse and one that is quite powerful
"Activate it," I said, and she and she did; a few seconds later, a watery screen appeared in the teleportation gate. I looked at it for a moment before stepping into it.
Hun!
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe moment I did, I entered the space tunnel and was instantly surprised to find it covered in the runes. I have first time found something like this, and I shouldn't be surprised to see something like this, considering how much energy this ruin breaking gate consumes.
It was not just the runes covering the tunnel, but I also found myself moving faster than usual through the tunnel; I reached the entrance of the ruin in just six seconds.
The boundary ruin opened as I reached near it; it did not tear as it usually but opened like a gate, and I passed through it in an instant before the gate closed behind me, barely producing any spatial fluctuations.
It is not like there are no spatial fluctuations, but these fluctuations are very minute; they could not be sensed by the sensors Grimms have placed around the ruin.
I only glanced at it for a moment before I stabilized myself in the air as I was falling before a clear surprise appeared in my eyes.
The energy of this ruin is very pure, far purer than that of the central continent; if I am not wrong, then it is at least twenty-one times purer than the central continent, and this energy had an elemental feel to it; water elemental.
The runes with such pure and natural elemental energies are exceedingly rare, and if the Pyramid knew about it, they would have sent people to attack this place long ago.
Such places are not only useful for growing water elemental plants, but water elemental powerhouses would also progress in this place faster.
I took a deep breath to feel the dense water elemental energy before looking around and seeing beautiful land filled with lakes. Even in the dark night, when there was barely any light, this place looked beautiful; I wondered how beautiful it would look in the light.
Hun!
I looked around when suddenly, I noticed something at a far distance; at first, I did not dare to believe it and activated my ocular ability, and they became clear, shaking me to my core. When I came to this ruin, I had expected everything but not this.
There are humans in these ruins.
