'They wouldn't just give up!' I thought in frustration as I looked at the Grimms; they were still attacking me, even after one and half hours.
The cracks they have brought my shields with such hard work had been healing very slowly with the changes I have made, that now they have only covered 19% of them, and in half an hour, there won't be any more of them.
I am not the only one that is frustrated; Mazla and Nras are too, but they are channeling all their frustration into attacking while I watch in standing.
I wish I could fight them head and while I could fight one of them, fighting two is above me. I would be killed if I tried that, which I won't.
The only thing I could to pass my time was work at my core, but that was too dangerous, but still, I would go there every few minutes to work, as there was nothing else to do.
It had been more than one and a half hours since I began fighting here, and except for killing two Grimms, I had done nothing else.
The kills are a great accomplishment, and I am proud of them, as they weren't easy, but I still wish I could fight with my sword.
Sigh!
I sighed once again and looked at the two Grimms attacking me tirelessly before shifting my eyes to the battle below them.
They are quite far, but I could still see them with my abilities and visuals from the pyramid, which are flashing in my mind through the badge on my chest.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtQuite a lot of humans have been injured, including the healer who could heal them; that bastard Carmichael had come back alive and was a Grand Lord.
It had succeeded, and I am not surprised; when I last checked, it was nearly ready for that.
Though, there are still a few among them who managed to surprise me; I have already inserted my seed inside them, and their meta-scans are flashing in front of me, giving me their complete details. I could even tell the kind of lucky instance they have encountered, which helped them make the breakthrough.
I could also see how injured they were and how they still kept pushing themselves while fighting against the Grimms.
Thankfully, it is not just the humans, who are injured, but also the Grimms. Those bastards are hell-bent on killing us; they sealed every injury they come across with numerous methods and continue to fight against the humans.
I was watching these battles through jealous eyes when I saw the sudden change. It is from an old snake who is still fighting against Patriarch.
The bastard had released its curse again, the one with an above-limit element, which had not surprised me. It had used that before an hour ago.
What surprised me was the curse; it was not the red devil.
It still had that above-the-limit element and seemed to be a direct striking type, rather than wait and grow before attacking crippling blow type. It would have worked, as my seeds are not a magical pill that could protect against anything, but against this one, they could defend.
As I have designed the measures against the above limit element and not the curses, so, any curse that that same above limit element, my seed will capture before it spreads into their body.
Such wouldn't be the case if the above-the-limit element had been different, but it is not the case; it is the same, which worked in our favor.
Still, I remain vigilant because there are a lot of ways things could get screwed; because the measures are only working before the old snake does not know exactly what they are, the moment it knows them, it will easily be able to find a way around them.
I was focusing on its battles when another change appeared across the battlefield; a Grand Lord crashed on the ground hard.
It is one of two new Grimm Grand Lords fighting against one new human Grand Lord. I am not surprised; Lady Yui had always been good at close combat, and if she had been fighting against only one, then the Grimms wouldn't have just crashed.
There are many battles are going on, but two are most surprising; it is of new Grimms and humans. Two humans are fighting against four Grimms.
The battle is nothing surprising; what is surprising is that it is two humans working together.
Those two did not like each other, especially her; I truly did not think she would work with him, even to fighting against it; I am sure Marina, too, would be surprised if I showed her the clip.
Hun!
A few minutes had passed when suddenly something happened.
Lady May, who was fighting against the Werewolf, got her hand cut off, but it widened the eyes of all Grimms who were watching.
Even the Werewolf attacked her got; its eyes widened in horror and began to retreat while trying to summon its defensive method, but it had fallen into the daring trap of Lady May and now found a concentrated fiery blood-red wave of energy that came from Lady May's rapier directly in front of it.
Slice!
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe concentrated fiery-blood red energy struck against the unfinished defensive later of Werewolf, which had even been able to hold it for a moment before finally striking against its body and splitting into two.
The moment had shocked the whole battlefield, that nearly all battle stopped; even Mazla and Nras stopped attacking me and watched the two equally sliced parts of Werewolf Grand Lord falling down, with horror frozen in its both eyes.
It is a huge risk that she took before the slightest mistake, and it wouldn't be the Werewolf that would have been split into two, but her.
The attack of Werewolf had gotten too close to her comfort, but it was needed, as otherwise, the Grimm wouldn't have taken the chance to come close to her.
Lady Vivian killed her first Grimm; right after coming out of the thing, and I am glad I have paid a small part in it.
"You wretched human!" screamed Chanf, the Gorrilaman, and tried to move toward her, but it was stopped. So are the other Grimms.
"You two can go if you want," I said to Mazla and Nras, who just glared at me hard.
One of them could go, but it will be stopped, not by me, but by other humans. While all of them fight against the Grimms, some of them still possess abilities the ability to take on another Grimm.
The battle did not resume; both sides glared at each other and just kept glaring.
"Retreat," said Lady Angela finally, and there was no resistance from the Grimms as both sides began to fade away.
The Grimms in front of me did, my shields disappeared, and I, too, began to disappear, and a moment later, they took have disappeared.
Soon, we reached the place where space was stable and began to leave; the stable space did not matter to me but seeing there were many new Grand Lords, I stayed behind them with old Grand Lords in case of the attacks.
The Grimms do that.
The moment they see a chance, they attack.
