It had been two and half hours since I had got away from the Grimms in this thick grey mist and hadn't found anything.
I had not even come across the Grimms, and I really want to see some living.
I am used to being alone, but this mist seemed to be strange. It is making me feel stifling or maybe it is just my psych, seeing I had been with Ragas for nearly two weeks except for the night and it is making me feel alone.
My soul sense moves around me; giving me the data, which my clones will process and direct my steps.
I didn't use the way of simply picking one direction and moving. My clones didn't think it is useful in this scenario. So, we are trying a more intricate approach, which only someone like could do.
This mist may seem bland, but it is filled with thousands of types of different microscopic energy particles.
Testing density and other things of these energy particles, my clones could predict the distance to the Wonders miles before accurately. I hope it would also help me find the Grimms or natives fighting.
I could only detect them through energy when they were fighting. Only at that time, they radiate energies through their attacks and auras; otherwise, they keep it contained.
To detect those wondering, I have my soul sense; the forbidden power has widened its range.
I hope it will be enough to detect those below Earth Sovereigns before they detect me. Even someone like Ragas, who had an edge here.
A few minutes passed, and my clones detected another wonder ahead of me. So, I moved around as my clones directed me. I have been doing that constantly, as there are wonders everywhere.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThey are safe, not a single one I had to find, which seemed unstable. Unless one intentionally goes into them, they would be fine.
These wonders radiate powerful energy and once you reach close to them, you will sense it across your body. So, even if your sense is quite weak, you will be able to survive with your sense of self-preservation.
Hun!
A little over half an hour passed when suddenly I stopped. For a moment, someone had entered the range of my soul sense before disappearing.
I thought for a moment, before extending my soul sense and a second and a half later. I have seen what had appeared in my soul sense, two natives with horns on their heads.
I only looked at them for a moment, with a very faint soul sense, before pulling it back.
They were Sovereigns, with opaque levels, but I had sensed danger from them. Which was enough for me to pull back and create as much distance between me as possible.
First the Grimms and now the natives. Why can't things be simple for me? I asked myself, before sighing.
A few minutes later, I once again take the turn, with the wonder appearing in front of me. Which again forced me to change the direction, and I did.
Another hour passed, and I have come across more wonders.
As I looked at them, the conviction in my heart grew stronger. I would need to reach the height of the people whose power created these wonders to see my loved ones.
It is a hard road, impossible for most people, but I will have to cross it to see my family.
Sometimes, I want to give up everything, this constant chasing of power, but I didn't have an option to stop and relax. No, I would need to keep improving, till I see them, be with them.
Hun!
I was busy with my thoughts, when I suddenly stopped.
My clones had informed me, they have sensed something strange ahead. It is not a wonder, nor is it Grimms, natives, or monsters. Something strange that I have not seen before.
Hope bubbled in my heart as I cautiously moved ahead. With every breath, I am hoping this would be the place; I am in search of.
I really need it to be. I am in a dangerous place, where everything I had come across has the power to kill me. Once I healed, I will be stronger and could even survive against Peak Sovereigns.
Four minutes passed and I could finally see the place and what I saw couldn't help but disappoint me.
It is a purple wall; it bears quite a similarity with the wonders, but it is hundreds of times stable. It had been done with intentions and not something that had taken shape years after the battle.
"Purple," I said.
Of the five spots, one of them was purple, and this one was purple.
It is not the one I am searching for, nor for which Ragas had come here, but he would be still happy seeing it. He said he would want to see all four spots, aside from the one he needs before leaving.
A disappointment couldn't help but fill my heart.

I keep looking at it for a couple of seconds, before moving away from it. I had just taken a couple of steps when I suddenly stopped.
A Grimm had entered my range, and it was moving toward the wall, with joy written all over its face.
It is a Red Scale Tigerman; a peak Sovereign powerhouse, with a very powerful aura. I am not a match for this bastard; it wouldn't even take ten seconds for it to finish me off.
Though, I didn't immediately move my soul sense away from it, despite the risk. I want to see what the hell this place is or how it will work.
The Red Scale Tigerman had reached the wall before a badge appeared in its clawed hand, which it placed against the wall.
For a few seconds, nothing happened before a large hole opened and Grimm walked inside it. I wanted to see what was inside, but I didn't see anything; I might get something if I had used a little soul sense.
'The place needs a badge?' I thought. Ragas mentioned nothing of that sort.
Thinking that, I begin to feel pain in my head. Immediately, I shook those thoughts away. My priority should be finding the place; after reaching it, I could think about getting away from there.
Hun!
With that, I was about to pull my stretched soul sense when I suddenly froze, and horror appeared on my face.
I saw two Grimms appearing by the wall; the same two Grimms who had kidnapped me, and Ragas put a collar on us before sending us into the wall to find a safe way out of there.
I had hoped they wouldn't find a way out of there, but I was underestimating their luck and power too much.
They have not only come out of the wall but also reach their destination, which seemed to be the purple wall.
I remained frozen, not daring to move away from soul sense. If they caught even sense of it, I am good as dead.
I watched as they talked to each other with big smiles on their faces, before the Werewolf put a badge on the wall and, like before, it opened.
