She gave him a polite smile and took her headphones out from her pockets. Placing them in her head,
she leaned back and closed her eyes to rest.
The soft hum of music droned in her ears. Indistinctly, she heard the muffled voice of the airline
stewardess.
The gentle sounds lulled her to sleep. Sometime later, she felt a push.
Rosalynn’s eyes flew open. The plane had already landed.

Rosalynn smiled at him, and then glanced at Brian. She was shocked at his expression. He looked
pissed, as if he was ready to jump straight into a fight.
Did she do something?
No, that couldn’t be.
Deciding it was better to ignore him, Rosalynn stood up to take her belongings.
The man who sat beside her offered to help carry her luggage, but Rosalynn refused and walked out of
the plane.
“May | have your phone number?”
She had underestimated his persistence. The man stopped her, refusing to give up.
Rosalynn frowned and was about to refuse again when she felt a hand on her shoulder. A cold voice
sounded near her ears.
“No, she can’t, She has a boyfriend.”
Brian’s icy glare fixed on the other man.

“Is he your boyfriend?”
Brian wasn’t Rosalynn’s boyfriend. He was her ex-husband!
Rosalynn felt the hand on her shoulder tighten and smiled, not refuting what Brian had just said.
Her silence had to do less with wanting to play along. It was more of her not wanting to give the young
man her phone number. Between the two, accepting Brian’s help was the less unpleasant option.
At the moment, it was better to keep her mouth shut and not correct the misunderstanding.
“I see. I’m sorry, | didn’t know.”
