Sasha mulled over everything Kevin said and she couldn't help but acknowledge the fact that he might be right.
Moreover, it would certainly answer a lot of questions that had been plaguing her mind since she first agreed to become Amy's tutor.
Sasha glanced at Kevin and couldn't help being marveled at how he was able to quickly come to such a conclusion with the limited information he had on the Stark family.
Just how amazing could this guy be? She wondered.
Kevin turned slightly to meet Sasha's gaze, and he couldn't help but ask with a chuckle. "Is there something on my face?"
Sasha suddenly realized that she had been staring at him a bit too much and quickly decided to change the subject while trying to conceal the blush on her face.
"Y-you'll be tutoring Amy from 9 am to 3 pm which gives you a total of six hours with her everyday, for a week."
Kevin smiled and decided not to persist with the question. He nodded in understanding as he approached the Stark mansion.
Upon arriving at the gate, the two guards stationed before it looked into the car since it was unfamiliar, but Sasha's familiar face made them relax a little.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBrian Stark had informed them that a man would be accompanying Sasha into the mansion, and once the guard did a thorough search of his vehicle, Kevin was allowed to enter the mansion.
As he drove into the mansion, Kevin took mental notes of the twenty male guards walking around its grounds. Each of them was dressed in a formal black suit with a walkie-talkie in the hands of every one of them.
There was a huge sculpture of a cherub at the center of the compound as Kevin and Sasha walked towards the front door while being led by a guard with a bald head.
[It seems Brian Stark doesn't want anyone coming close to his little Amy.] The system's voice suddenly emerged.
'She's his weakness after all.'Kevin responded.
[It's admirable though, how he thinks that this amount of security will be enough to stop someone like you from entering.]
'He hasn't seen anything yet.'
The parasite chuckled softly. [Fufu... Have fun.]
Kevin smiled in return as he pondered what his next course of action would be. But the guard's voice abruptly brought him back to reality after their bodies had been thoroughly scanned.
"You may enter."
Kevin and Sasha nodded before entering the building while their eyes fell upon a wide flight of stairs which was capable of accommodating ten full-grown men with their hands spread apart.
A huge crystal chandelier glimmered from the top of the ceiling while their steps on the stairs reverberated across the mansion.
Sasha sneaked a glance at Kevin and was genuinely impressed by how relaxed he was despite everything he was seeing around him. He also looked unbothered by the strict and tight security of the mansion.
She knew Kevin was probably just trying to act unperturbed by everything, so she tried to clarify any doubts or questions he might have in his mind.
She adjusted her glasses and nudged him a bit to bring his attention towards her.
Kevin turned his head slowly and his eyes fell on her radiant smile as she said.
"Brian Stark is the famous owner of a popular nightclub here in the city and it has been operating for more than a decade now."
"It seems men like Brian Stark who are known for their riches and fame tend to have enemies from unsavory places. This caused him to be extra cautious about those he cared about, which is mainly his daughter after he lost someone very precious to him, his wife."
Kevin understood what Sasha was trying to do, and so he simply smiled at her before saying. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," she beamed a smile at him in return as she led the way to the top of the stairs where their eyes fell upon a maid who bowed and guided them towards Amy's room.
As they trailed behind the maid, Sasha seemed to recall something she was supposed to add when describing Amy.
"Oh, there's something you need to know about Amy. "
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHer voice dragged his attention back to her as he asked. "And what would that be?"
Since they were about to arrive at Amy's room, she hurriedly replied.
"She's currently seventeen years of age but is about to be eighteen in a few days. She thinks she's an adult capable of making her own decisions but she tends to act childish sometimes," She warned.
"She tends to be annoying, but just try to put up with it as…"
But Kevin halted her words with a smile. " It's fine. I can handle whatever attitude she throws at me," He assured her and Sasha calmed down as they watched the maid stop in front of Amy's room.
"Miss Amy, your tutors are here for your lesson."
The maid knocked on Amy's door before opening it slowly to grant them entry into her room.
However, the first thing Kevin's eyes fell upon was a young beautiful girl with pink twin ponytails, holding a huge bowl of water and yelling. "GET OUT!!"
The water surged towards him with full force causing Kevin to internally cuss his luck as he became drenched from head to toe by her water attack.
But Amy didn't stop there, she glared at Sasha and the maid who were still stunned by her sudden attack, before yelling once again.
"TELL FATHER I DO NOT NEED A TUTOR ANYMORE!!" She slammed the door shut right after she made her intentions clear.
Kevin blinked several times at the drops of water that were making their way into his eyes as Sasha's last words rang in his ears.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know she would act this way." Sasha immediately began to apologize.
"It's fine," Kevin replied with a chuckle as he slowly unbuttoned his coat and shirt.
"Please, wait right here. I'll get you a towel," The maid said before heading down the stairs.
