[Lancelot's POV]
Ever since I could remember, I have had beads of golden blond hair that's well-groomed and styled in a way that suits me.
My blue eyes were always bright and clear, with a lively sparkle that caught the attention of others, especially the women. My face was symmetrical and well-proportioned, with a strong jawline and high cheekbones that accentuated my good looks. My skin was smooth and clear, with a healthy glow as a product of taking care of myself.
In terms of my clothing and style, I dress in a way that complements my features and enhances my natural attractiveness. I opt for classic, timeless styles that were always in fashion, such as well-tailored suits or well-fitted casual wear.
I also made sure that I had an air of confidence and self-assuredness that came with being comfortable in my own skin and having a strong sense of personal style.
It's worth noting, however, that physical appearance alone does not define a person's character or personality. While I may be conventionally attractive, it was also important that I have to be unique and multi-faceted, with a range of traits and qualities that make me who I was today.
It was not because I gave importance to my looks. It was simply because I didn't want to disappoint those who admired and idolized me.
I got to set a certain example. I tried to be a role model student or at least aspired to be one. It was not that I was nice or a people pleaser. It was simply because I knew how to adapt and used all I had to my advantage, including my good looks and pleasing personality. And because I did, my life was fairly easy enough and smooth sailing.
I wasn't a genius. I was like those students who scored above a passing grade. I wasn't athletic, just that guy who could run some kilometers a day. I wasn't rich, just an average student whose parents were middle class.
But because I knew how to use my appearance and personality, others were willing to do my assignments and projects with a smile. Some take it easy on me during school activities, and most threaten me with food, movie tickets, down to clothes, and pieces of jewelry if I was willing to hang out with them.
And because of my fun club, no student would think of even crossing me. I was never the target of bullies, and I knew some self-defense myself. Those bullies would think twice about targeting me. Though they were in a group, they couldn't possibly defeat hundreds of my fans.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI wasn't bragging. It was simply the truth. I had long accepted the fact that I had to use whatever was available to me in order to survive in this world and climb the ladder of success.
Given that I was well-liked and loved at school, I was popular and had many friends in college. My good looks, affable personality, and resourcefulness helped me navigate college life with ease, making it easier for me to socialize, participate in extracurricular activities, and excel academically.
I also made sure to be involved in a variety of clubs or organizations on campus, where I could further spread my popularity and talents while also networking with like-minded peers.
There was one club, though. The Kendo club where Bellarose was. She caught my interest at first sight.
A lady with long black hair, straight and silky. Her emerald eyes were an enchanting sight to behold. Her locks cascade down her back in luscious waves, gleaming in the light and framing her delicate features. Her skin was smooth and radiant, with a natural glow that seemed to emanate from within.
Her eyes were the color of rich emeralds, sparkling with an indifferent glint that hinted at her aloof spirit. They were framed by thick, dark lashes that fan outwards, adding depth and dimension to her already striking gaze. When she looked at me, it was as though she saw straight into my soul.
Her features were refined and elegant, with high cheekbones and a soft, full mouth. Her nose was straight and graceful, adding a touch of regality to her already stunning appearance. Her figure was lithe and graceful, with curves that were perfectly proportioned and accentuated by the clothes she wore.
Overall, this lady was a vision of beauty and grace, with a poise and confidence that made her even more alluring. She was a true natural beauty, and her long black hair and emerald eyes only served to enhance her already stunning appearance.
Her beauty was only made unreachable by her social standing, strong background, and powerful family descent.
In short, she was unreachable even to me. However, I couldn't deny my feelings and chose to enter the Kendo Club because of her.
The wooden sword fights were fun, even though I got my ass kicked all the time if I was paired with her. At least I could see her and learn some sword skills.
From the outside, it appeared that Bellarose was not interested in me. Her indifferent air made it seem like she was not open to forming a romantic relationship with me, or anyone for that matter.
However, there was also the possibility that she had a secret crush on me, and it was possible that she may feel conflicted about her feelings and unsure how to express them.
I, on the other hand, may be drawn to Bellarose's mysterious and enigmatic personality. I found her intriguing and wanted to get to know her better, even if she initially seemed uninterested. If I persisted and respectful, I might be able to break through Bellarose's emotional barriers and form a deeper connection with her.
Throughout the year, our relationship could be characterized by tension and uncertainty, as Bellarose's mixed feelings for me led to a push-pull dynamic between us.
Until I got tired of it, and eventually gave up on pursuing Bellarose, as her indifferent attitude towards me made me feel like she wasn't really interested. I think a year was enough.
And maybe because I realized that my attraction to Bellarose was more based on her appearance and enigmatic personality than on a true connection between us. I came to the conclusion that pursuing her was not worth the effort and moved on to someone who was a better match for me – to someone who was more receptive to my affections, like Nanally.
She was a sweet girl with waves of curly pink hair. A vision of youth and vibrancy. Her hair was a bright and playful shade of pink, with luscious curls that cascaded down her back in soft, bouncy waves. Each strand seemed to have a life of its own, bouncing and swaying with her every movement.
Her face was round and rosy, with full lips that curved upwards into a gentle smile. Her cheeks were dusted with a light pink blush, giving her a youthful and innocent appearance. Her eyes were big and bright, a sparkling shade of soft red that seemed to twinkle in the light.
She had a warm and welcoming presence, always ready with a kind word or a listening ear. Her voice was soft and melodic, with a soothing quality that put those around her at ease. She has a natural grace and poise, moving through the world with a gentle fluidity that seemed to come effortlessly to her.
Overall, she was the sweetest girl I had ever known and a delight to behold. Her cheerful demeanor and playful spirit were infectious, and her unique sense of style and self-expression was a true reflection of her inner beauty and confidence.
My life was too perfect ever since she became mine that it was beginning to be scary, to be honest. I thought that my perfect life would continue forever . . . and I was right.
One day a bright light suddenly appeared, swallowing us whole. All I felt was a rush of energy coursing through my body. And when I opened my eyes again, I found myself standing in the middle of a wide clearing unlike any I had ever seen before, together with some people that I didn't know.
The sky above us was a brilliant shade of purple, with swirling clouds that seemed to shift and move like liquid. There were no buildings around us and only meadows, like we were transported into a province.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs we looked around in awe, a voice suddenly resounded in our ears.
"Welcome to the world of NORDLAND!" it exclaimed with a woman's voice. "I'm your guide, and I'm here to help you navigate this incredible world."
With her help, we quickly learned that this was no ordinary world – it was a land of magic and wonder, filled with hidden treasures and secret quests to discover like in those fantasy worlds. . . only we were like players given with class, stats, and weapons and all.
What was worse . . . death here means death.
I wasn't ignorant about this kind of thing since I played a lot of video games with my friends. Though it seemed that this was my reality now.
The younger ones were extremely happy and excited. The older ones were worried, and those who were just starting their life were skeptical.
I, on the other hand, already checked my stat and class. My head was already formulating plans on how to survive in this new world.
No used in wallowing in depression and anxiety. The earlier I was to adapt to this world, the better the chances I got to survive.
Huh?
I paused. My brain stopped.
I seemed to be seeing something wrong.
While I heard others discussing their generic classes, like swordsman, and mage, I read mine.
