Chapter 233
Especially after Liam pulled off that jaw-dropping hit on the Walker family that had the whole city talking.
Then, Quim's got the nerve to step up to Liam, like he got a death wish or something, itching for an early grave!
Then Eaden, with a chill in his eyes, gave Quim a look that could freeze fire. He sneered at Quim's cocky stance, thinking he could take on Liam like he was just sregular Joe.
"Quim, since we're all Drunham City folks, I'll throw you a bone. Tell your crew to drop their guns, and you better square things with Mr. Cole. Don't put up a pointless fight. To Mr. Cole, we're all just ants under his shoe!"

I've been around, and I don't scare easy! I've made up my mind about the kid, and if you're set on shielding him, then let's see if you can keep him safe!"
Quim barked orders at his men, "Get the members on the line, now! Gear up and get over here!"
With that, his guys were on their phones in a flash while Quim stared down Eaden, his face twisted in a challenge.
One of Quim's guys punched in a number on his phone, his voice thundering with fury, "Get the crew and gear up. We're hitting the hotel, pronto!"
However, there was a twist.
The call was on speaker, and instead of a response from his crew, a chilling voice cut through.
"Quim's crew, huh? Great timing. Tell him his joint's been flagged for shady business, and I, Howard, am cleaning up. His goons? They're awaiting their turn at the station."
Howard was on the move, leading a squad of cops to Quim's club. They stormed in, rounding up everyone.
After the last of Quim's guys were loaded up, Howard cast a glance at the club's neon sign, gave a triumphant wave, and bellowed, "Listen up! Lock down every dive Quim owns. Round up all his cronies!"
Once the convoy had departed, Howard hopped into his ride, a posse of armed officers in tow, and peeled out toward the hotel where Liam was holed up.

Back at the hotel, Quim's lackey stared at the dead phone, his face draining of color. "Mr. Wakelin, we're in deep trouble..." he gasped.
Quim, catching the guy's stuttering, scowled and smacked him. "Out with it! If you've got something to say, spit it out!"
The henchman, nursing a bruised cheek, blurted out, "Mr. Wakelin, we've got a major problem. Mr. Mosier from the police cdown himself, shut down our operation, and locked up the crew!"
Quim's world ccrashing down with those words.
His crew were arrested?
His operation shut down?
In a frenzy, Quim grabbed the phone and punched in number after number, However, to no avail. Not a single call connected.
He was done for.
