Cedric was shocked when the man before him introduced himself, he didn't know Aiden had a brother.
"How sure are we that this isn't some bluff?" Alexi asked as he and Ray joined Cedric in the room.
"Because I'm not like my older brother." Benedict said with a shrug. "Our parents were bad people, they got the end they deserved."
"And how did you come to know about your sister?" Cedric asked the man.
"Because despite everything my brother says, I know that your families would never kill an innocent child, and I clearly remember my parents treating her like trash." Benedict said with a shrug.
"Why has Aiden never mentioned you?" Cedric asked as he circled the man. Benedict had features similar to Camilla, it was clear that the two were possibly related.
"Because I've always been his inside man." Benedict said with a shrug. "I'm the one that entered Reyes Group to spy on you, I'm the one that found Jen and followed Jen everywhere. No one could know of our relationship."
"I don't believe him." Ray said as he glared at the cuffed man. "I still think this is a trap."
"A trap?" Benedict said with a laugh. "I ran away from my brother just to be here. I don't want to be part of his ploys anymore."
"That's not reason enough." Alexi said, shaking his head.
As much as Cedric wanted to side with his friends, he couldn't help but feel the honesty in Benedict's words. Something about him made Cedric feel like he was telling the truth.

"Cedric, you can't be serious?!" Ray asked in an angry tone. He had already aired his distrust of the man and yet Cedric still was willing to trust this stranger.
"I'm not saying I trust him." Cedric told Ray. His friend was stunned, it was as if Cedric could read his mind. "I'm just saying I have no reason to stop him from meeting his sister."
"Thank you Mr. Reyes." Benedict Ortiz said in a respectful tone. "In turn I will tell you everything about my brother, anything you ask."
Cedric could see that Benedict was being sincere in his words, he truly wanted to see his sister, even if it meant turning his back on his older brother.
"The final decision will still come from your sister, if she is willing to meet you." Cedric said as he walked out of the interrogation room followed by his friends.
"I can't believe you will just let him talk to Camilla!" Ray shouted as soon as the door closed behind them.
"He is his sister Ray." Cedric said in a calmer tone.
"Are you forgetting who his brother might be?" Ray said, shaking his head. "Might be okay, might be, we don't even know if he is telling us the truth."
"You have to see the resemblance." Cedric told his friend.
"He looks nothing like Aiden." Alexi said as he tried to think about what the other man looked like.
"No, he doesn't." Cedric said with a grin. "He looks like a male version of Camilla."
Ray was about to say something when he realized what Cedric had just said was true. Benedict Ortiz looked exactly like Camilla.
"Either way, Camilla will still be the one to decide if she wants to meet him." Cedric said with a shrug as he entered the adjacent room. "She might not even remember him, he blocked most of her memories from her life before."
"I thought you were bluffing." Katerina said as she joined in on the conversation.
"I'm not." Cedric said, shaking his head. "I'll give Camilla a call, we'll drive over, this isn't an over the phone kind of conversation."
"I'll go with you." Ian said, volunteering. Camilla was like a sister to him, they had toiled in the Reyes Group together.
"Same, I think you might need a woman to tag along." Katerina said with a laugh. "Plus we have our history together."
Cedric nodded, acknowledging that Katerina and Ian would accompany him.
"Can you guys keep the women company?" Cedric asked his friends.
"Of course, why not?" Alexi said with a laugh.
"They will want to know what happened. Tell them the truth." Cedric instructed in a serious tone. He had promised Adrianna that he would always be honest with her, and he was going to stick to that promise.
"Alright, no keeping them in the dark." Ray said with a shrug.
"I'll give Camilla a call. Ian, could you ask my driver to bring the car out front?" Cedric asked as he took out his phone and searched for Camilla's name in his contacts.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIan nodded and left to do as Cedric asked.
"I'll have our guest moved to other accommodations." Miguel said as he followed Ian out.
Cedric waited for Camilla to answer her phone.
"Sir?" Came Camilla's voice over the line. Cedric found the formality quite odd, Camilla rarely addressed him as sir over the phone. She must have been with someone.
"Camilla, something came up regarding your family, we might need to speak to you." Cedric said in as kind a tone as he could.
"Oh." Camilla responded. Again, Cedric was put off by her response, she was normally more talkative than this.
"I know it's a painful topic, but Katerina and Ian will be with me, you don't need to answer our questions, we just want to give you an option." Cedric said as he tried his best to explain the situation.
"Of course sir. I trust you. We've known each other for three years now, I trust you completely." Camilla said.
"We'll head on over to your house." Cedric told her.
"No, sir." Camilla suddenly said. "I'm out, can you meet me where I am?"
"Sure. Send me the address, we'll see you in a bit." Cedric said as he dropped the call.
"What's with the expression?" Ray asked Cedric as he gave him a puzzled look.
"I think Camilla is in trouble." Cedric suddenly revealed. "Aiden might have gotten to her."
"What? He knows about her now?" Katerina asked, clearly worried for her friend.
"Get Benedict back into the interrogation room! Now!" Cedric shouted angrily down the hall as the members of his security team rushed to do as he asked.
