Gareth’s eyes were frigid as he looked at Darren, “What’s going on in your head?”
Darren’s brows knitted together, and he said unhappily, “Nicole is interested in you and has been for a while. Must I
spell it out for you?”
Gareth’s face darkened, and he looked at Darren frostily, “You don’t need to worry about my marital status. We can
play with the Benetts, but the Tabor family is on a different scale. I don’t think you can deal with the repercussions.”
“You…! You brat! I’m doing this for you! Nicole is a great girl; she excels in everything she does. They don’t lose to
us in prestige as well. Where else would you find such an outstanding woman? Most importantly, she likes you!”
Gareth grew more annoyed.

straightening his tie. He left right after that.
“Gareth! Stand right there!” Darren pushed himself up, but Gareth was done with him and walked out.
“D*mn! Sh*t! Everything’s gone to sh*ts!” Darren swore angrily, his face as red as a tomato.
Julia came down from upstairs to see Gareth had left. She heard Darren’s swears and went over angrily to give him
a kick!
Darren did not hide away as he feared she would fall.
“What was that for? It’s not enough that b*stard pissed me off; are you trying to piss me off too?!”
“What do you mean he pissed you off? You’re the problem! I was only in the bathroom for a while, yet you were
able to chase away my obedient grandson!”
“I was doing it for him! He doesn’t even know how hard I’m trying! How is it that his temper grows with him? And
he’s gotten even more stubborn!” Darren huffed angrily.
“He got that from you!”
She suddenly thought about how the two had chased Elisa away and did not want to protect Gareth any more.
“Can you not be angry with me?” Darren was so angry his breaths were getting heavier.
Julia scrunched up her brows. After considering the man’s health, he sighed and sat on the sofa.
“Can you not create more trouble?”

Darren was about to say something, but Julia pulled at his hand and said sullenly, “Alright, how about you sit down
and calm down first? We’re just having a chat. You don’t have to show your horns.”
Darren deeply inhaled and then sat down. He tried to calm the fury in his heart.
Julia kept holding onto his hand.
“Look, didn’t your family look down on me as well when we were dating?” Julia said with a grin.
Darren froze; he did not know what to say.
“And now, your hair is gray, and we have one foot in the grave. Must you limit Gareth so much? He is a grown man
and has already failed one marriage. Do you want him to fail a second time?”
“Nicole is…” Gareth wanted to retort but was interrupted by Julia before he could speak further.
