Picking Up Beautiful Girls In The Post-Apocalyptic World!

Lily had completely forgotten about her in the middle of the fight! Rin didn’t have any way to avoid the fire!!

Lily quickly ran out from cover and slid in front of Rin Woo before the fire washed over them both. Lily groaned as her back burned from the intense heat. She didn’t have time to set up an ice wall, so she just made ice form on top of her skin to make sure there was no permanent injury, but the ice was thin so it didn’t protect her that much.

Once the flames stopped, Lily stood up again to charge for Ariel, only for her to see Ariel in a ready position behind her! Ariel stood like a boxer preparing for the final punch! Her hand was pulled back at a perfect angle and her feet were already aligned with her body! All she had to do was SWING!!

Slam!!!!!

Lily’s head snapped back and Rin’s eyes widened when she saw that Lily was even still standing! That punch would have torn a normal person’s head straight off!! Another punch drove Lily into the wall beside Rin and another one made a large crack appear over the wall as Lily’s head slammed into it again!

Slam ! Slam ! Slam ! Slam ! Slam !

Ariel had a sadistic smile on her face as she rained down on Lily with flaming fists! Lily couldn’t even fight back because there was no opportunity for her to do so! It was no surprise when the stress on Lily’s body became too much and then white smoke began to waft out of her body!

Rin began to shuffle back from the smoke. This was bad! If she just went unconscious now then Lily would just die! But what could she even do? She couldn’t even get out of the restraints that Lily put her in! Rin wanted to help Lily, but there was no way for her to help.

Lily didn’t deserve to die. Not for just lovin’ someone. Rin was very shocked when Lily still saved her even when she had the opportunity to only save herself. Lily had no intention of killing her. She just wanted more time with Han.

The smoke was already filling up the entire room and she would soon pass out. Rin Woo grit her teeth in anger.

Sorry, Lily. I hope you can fight this woman on your own!

The smoke washed over Rin!!

Back at the fight, Ariel had to jump away from Lily when the smoke began to come out of her. She was already healing from the effects of the former Wisteria and she didn’t want her senses dulled again. She would wait for the smoke to die down a little before going in for the second time.

It wasn’t like Lily or Rin were going anywhere. She was standing in front of the only exit to this place so there was nowhere they could go!

Ariel waited for a long time before she finally began to see the smoke clearing. She moved towards the place she dropped Lily before to see if the girl was still unconscious when she suddenly heard a sound coming from her left. A sound like the tearing of paper echoed through the room as a metal clang followed. Before a figure burst through the smoke and slammed a fist into Ariel’s jaw.

Ariel saw stars as she stumbled back while holding her jaw! What the hell!? She looked toward who hit her and she had to blink to make sure she wasn’t seeing things. Was this Rin Woo ever this strong before!?

Rin Woo was confused! She thought she would have passed out already when the smoke washed over her, but instead, she felt unparalleled power surging through her! The power was more than she ever felt in her entire life!

What Rin didn’t know was that the amount of wisteria inside her was finally enough to make someone into a zombie. But it turned out that her body could handle the strain of the virus and so, instead of becoming a zombie, she became an [Unchanged].

Just like in every future Han had been in, Rin Woo was always someone that survived against the virus!!

Ariel massaged her jaw for a moment before looking up at Rin. That punch actually hurt. She has never seen another human that could punch her and hurt her. In fact, this Rin Woo was the only human that could even get close to her before. Did something happen to her? Was she not just tied to that wall a few seconds ago? How can she now escape and fight?

Rin didn’t know what was happening to her either, but she put it out of her mind for now. She could see Lily lying against the wall on the other side of the room. The girl was weak and defenseless and if she didn’t do anything then she would probably be killed. Rin got into a fighting stance.

“So you intend to fight me? Do you even know how much stronger I am compared to you? That one punch might have hit me but it was a lucky surprise for you. I won’t be that careless again”

Rin charged forward without saying anything and hoped to catch Ariel off guard, but she still wasn’t used to this sort of strength and she overshot her footing by a mile!! Ariel back peddled and twisted around the punch. Her feet slammed into Rin’s stomach and Rin gagged in pain as she stumbled back.

Holy mother of God!! That hurt!! Was these the punches that Lily had been tanking all this while!? It felt like her insides became her outsides!!

Rin Woo fell to her knees and coughed out a blob of blood before gasping. She couldn’t handle this woman at all! Not while she was still getting used to this strength she got! Ariel was too strong and Rin didn’t know how to even move her body properly yet!

The effects of the wisteria on Ariel were already dying down and Ariel was almost back at her peak condition. She began moving towards Rin with a calculative face. It was a bit of a surprise that Rin became an [Unchanged]. Ariel knew that Lily’s smoke could turn people into zombies, but she still hasn’t seen it do anything else to someone before. Was this why Regulus wanted Lily so badly? He said he was going to use her to create servants for his lord. Was this what he meant?

Ariel saw Rin getting to her feet again and she shook her head. Even though this woman had more power now, she still just gained the power. There was no way she could win against someone that had power for years now.

“You can’t win against me, Rin Woo. I don’t know why you were lucky enough to get this power, but I would suggest you come with me peacefully.”

“L-Lily… What about Lily?”

Rin Woo grunted this out between the pain and Ariel shook her head. She didn’t think it would be wise to just leave Lily to do whatever she wanted. Lily was kidnapping innocent people – or at least that was the impression that Ariel got once she saw Rin tied up. Ariel planned to take Lily back with her to the mansion at City A and give her to the head of the mansion to handle.

“What happens to her is none of your business. You should be more worried for -”

“Lily now!!”

A sheet of ice suddenly covered the entire floor of the room under Ariel and Ariel’s feet were stuck under the ice. Rin shot off her feet and drew her hands back. She might be new to her strength, but even a newborn baby can hit a stationary target!!!

Slam!!!

Pain. For the second time since she got her powers, a human caused Ariel pain. Why? It was completely foreign to her. Like a new language, she couldn’t understand! How? How was she fighting for Lily even after Lily kidnapped her? Ariel thought for sure that Rin would be trying to run away already. Was it not human nature to save yourself? Was it not something that every higher animal possessed?

The need for survival.

Then why would Rin Woo still be fighting when she knew that it was just a pointless fight!?

In the time it took Ariel to gather herself back, Rin managed to land two more punches on her before she had to jump back as fire suddenly encased Ariel’s hands. Rin shook her hands and tried to get feeling back into them. This woman wasn’t just strong, it was like her bones were made of metal! How was Lily able to even fight her at all?

A hand landed on Rin’s shoulder and Rin turned around to see Lily standing up slowly. She smiled. It seems like Lily wasn’t going to pass out that easily.

“I can freeze her feet and make sure she doesn’t move around freely. If you can hit her enough times, I’m sure we can win”

Rin narrowed her eyes and nodded.
