"Why did you even banish him? What did he ever do to you?" Leila raises her voice as tears break forth from her eyes and it breaks Tatum's heart even further.
What is so special about Kelvin that she loves so much that she is not willing to let him go? What does Kelvin have that he lacks? What does she see in Kelvin? "He attacked the head warrior of the pack, I can't bend the laws for anyone," Tatum replies coldly.

He has always hated how Kelvin suddenly replaced him in Leila's life as they grew from children into teenagers. Another pang hits Tatum's heart, her reminder that he broke his promise cuts deep into him with pain. He will do anything to take that night back but it is too late now, Leila sees Kelvin as a more capable man than him. "Nothing would have happened to you. Do you really thinkthat weak, not to be able to defend my own Luna?" Leila stares into his cold eyes with raw emotions and he can see the pain in her eyes, her fear and concern for Kelvin seeps out of her pores and it only hurts him more.
How can his wife harbour this much affection for another man? "I don't know Tatum, I don't know if you are weak but Carmela broke the law multiple times and I never saw you punish her, is she- above the law?" Leila asks with venom in her tone, her teary eyes full of pain. "This has nothing to do with Carmela," Tatum replies curtly.
"It has everything to do with her. Everything is about Carmela. Don't think I don't know Tatum, Amanda toldeverything. You banished Kelvin at Carmela's request," Leila snaps, her anger like a raging storm, enveloping the tone of her voice. "She impersonatesas Luna even till this day and I don't see you punishing her but it's okay to banish Kelvin when she asked, it doesn't matter that he is close to me, that he is my friend, you just followed her ORDER." An unearthly growl tears from Tatum's throat and in a flash he closes the gap between them, grabbing her arm roughly.
"I take orders from no one. Do not underminebecause of Kelvin!" "I am not undermining you, I am only saying the truth. Kelvin didn't deserve to be banished and now his life is in danger because you couldn't stand up to Carmela." "Stop saying that," Tatum growls.
Carmela had nothing to do with it. It is all Kelvin's fault for running away, he did not even openly make a pronouncement on Kelvin, everyone just assumed he did as Kelvin could not be found the next day and he was forced to make it official. "Alpha, I heard screaming. Is everything alright?" Carmela's rosy voice comes from behind them.
"Get out!" Leila yells, a blistering rage filling her voice.

Everything inside of her wants to grab Carmela and tear her to shreds om but Tatum's grip on her is firm as he turns to Carmela and the way his voice softens stings Leila's heart with even more pain. "Leave Carmela, I'll csee you later."
Leila scoffs and shoves Tatum away from her but he doesn't let hengd and Carmela bows and leaves, a satisfactory smile on her lips. She is happy there is trouble in paradise.
"Tellthe truth Leila, do you love Kelvin, do you want to be with him?" Tatum asks softly and as the word leaves his lips, they leave an indelible pain in his heart, his heart thuds relentlessly, every beat riddled with fear that Leila will finally tell him the truth. She rarely loses her temper but for Kelvin's sake, she is ready to go against anyone and say anything, even calling him weak and accusing him of taking orders from Carmela. Even if she admits it to him, he will still not let her go.
