Mo Sheng was livid. Even if he had no talent, he still had his pride. No matter how he was insulted and constantly compared to Mo Jiu, he never harbored hatred against his shidi and chose to be angry at the people who spoke nonsense instead.

In fact, he was happy that Mo Jiu was talented. That way, elder Mo wouldn't lose face too much but what he'd seen that day had crushed him. He couldn't even report them because he had no proof and that move would be quite dumb either ways. What would he have said?

He confronted the both of them and Mo Jiu, with his low EQ, had told Mo Sheng that he'd done nothing wrong. Shen Mianmian didn't love him and they weren't dao partners yet so she could be with whoever she chose.

Angrily, Mo Sheng turned against Mo Jiu and troubled both him and Shen Mianmian whichever way he could. A lot of people saw this and hated Mo Sheng even more but he didn't care. How was it his fault?!

Was it okay for Mo Jiu to do such things with his betrothed only because he was talented? Was it okay for Shen Mianmian to cuckold him, Mo Sheng, just because he was talentless?

Anytime Mo Sheng went to trouble Mo Jiu, the talented youngster would say such high sounding words about not wanting to go against Mo Sheng and then he would proceed to beat Mo Sheng to a pulp because he had no choice.

It was all Mo Sheng's fault. If Mo Sheng hadn't angered him with his words then he wouldn't have retaliated. He had no choice and only wanted to protect himself.

Mo Sheng would run away to lick his wounds only to come back and repeat the cycle.

Mo Jiu and Shen Mianmian soon got tired of this and one day, during a heated fight, Shen Mianmian had challenged Mo Sheng and in his rage, Mo Sheng had accepted.

Mo Sheng immediately regretted his words but it was too late. There were disciples all around to serve as witnesses.

Shen Mianmian had easily defeated Mo Sheng in the arena and their engagement was called off. Mo Sheng was heartbroken, he'd lived his entire childhood being told that the beautiful Shen Mianmian was his and she was one of the reasons he pushed himself to become strong everyday.

Even if she'd slept with Mo Jiu, he was still ready to take her back if she'd apologized.

The sect leader of the Tianmo sect was happy about this and encouraged Shen Mianmian to go after Mo Jiu. Elder Mo was sad for Mo Sheng and sternly reprimanded Mo Jiu when he found out about everything but nothing could be done about the broken engagement because the youngsters had decided on it themselves.

As Mo Jiu grew up, he continued to gather followers and beauties, defeating foes much stronger than he was and sailing through the cultivation ranks, leaving Mo Sheng to collect dust in his wake.

Mo Sheng still held a grudge against both Mo Jiu and Shen Mianmian but there was nothing he could do so he remained silent. Whenever he saw them humping each other like rabbits, he swallowed his sadness and looked the other way.

Mo Jiu humping anything that stood on two legs wasn't even a surprise to him anymore.

At age nineteen, elder Mo finally figured out a way to remove Mo Sheng's demonic seal. Although the man was strong, he was a righteous cultivator so removing a seal that was done by a powerful demonic cultivator was quite difficult as one wrong move could have led to Mo Sheng's death.

With the removal of the seal, elder Mo was forced to go into seclusion to regain his strength and Mo Sheng's cultivation soared. Mo Sheng had been diligently practicing for years and coupled with the fact that demonic cultivators levelled up faster, his demonic constitution nourished his core and his cultivation finally caught up -and even surpassed- some of his mates.

Mo Jiu might have been a one in ten thousand years genius for righteous cultivators but for demonic cultivators, he wasn't that special as their constitution enabled them to naturally advance at a much faster pace at the early levels of cultivation.

What really made Mo Jiu special was that he wouldn't have to face the same road blocks that the demonic cultivators would begin to face once they reached the Dao seeking level.

Since the cultivation physique of demonic cultivators presumably went against the Dao of Heaven, they were usually stunted at the Dao seeking level and those who manage to make it to Immortal ascension might meet their untimely ends if not careful enough.

Although Mo Sheng had become stronger, he chose to keep his cultivation level a secret. Even though, at the time, both the righteous and demonic factions decided to come to a truce and rejection of hybrids such as himself was no longer intense, he just didn't want any trouble so he remained low key.

He was still insulted by everyone but he endured, after all, he himself knew how strong he was so that was alright.

When Mo Jiu and Mo Sheng clocked twenty five, Mo Sheng was at the peak stage of Nascent soul level whilst Mo Jiu was at the early stage of the Spirit severing level.

The tournament that occurred every twenty years in order to get a chance to enter the dimension left behind by the great Dao ancestor came once more. Each sect was only allowed one pass and the age grade of the contestants was twenty to thirty five years.

The aim of the contest was just so it would be decided, out of all the sects, who exactly would hold the pass that lead to the secret chamber holding the Dao ancestor's inheritance.

There was no telling if the inheritance was actually real or a myth as it hadn't been found all these years -even the cultivators who had won the secret chamber pass did not succeed in finding it- but it was a huge honour to win the pass.

Mo Jiu, as was expected, breezed through the contest and came out on top but when Mo Sheng heard information that the divine level pill that could bring elder Mo back to his peak state might be found in the Dao ancestor's inheritance, he challenged Mo Jiu.

He was very grateful to his master so he needed to find the pill for him. He could ask Mo Jiu to help him find it but they weren't on good terms and he didn't want anyone to know about his hybrid constitution -explaining the exact reason their master needed the pill would lead to him exposing himself.

Everyone was skeptical when Mo Sheng stepped on the platform. Mo Sheng was trash, how could he possibly defeat Mo Jiu, was he crazy?

Mo Jiu had stared at Mo Sheng with raised brows. He attributed this to one of Mo Sheng's numerous tantrums so he didn't take his daxiong seriously. That underestimation had cost him the fight. Mo Sheng had won.

Everyone was stunned with Mo Jiu being the most perplexed of them all, just how did Mo Sheng defeat him? He became angry. He was the arrogant son of heaven after all, he wasn't meant to suffer a defeat.

So Mo Jiu scoffed and accused Mo Sheng of using underhanded means. Elder Mo was in seclusion so there was no one to vouch for Mo Sheng.

Mo Jiu's words succeeded in angering the righteous cultivators present. One by one, cultivators started to rise up and blame Mo Sheng for random deaths that had happened. A few of them were able to detect the demonic energy in Mo Sheng and this angered them even more.

They accused Mo Sheng of being a spy sent by the demonic faction into their midst. They all conveniently forgot that Mo Sheng had been adopted by elder Mo as a baby, instead, they continued to blame him shamelessly.

The demonic faction was so great, they claimed to want truce but then they went ahead and sent in a spy.

In their anger, the cultivators banded up against Mo Sheng and beat him to death. The cultivators present also spread word to other righteous sects about the 'horrible deed' the demonic faction had done and then the war between both factions was triggered once more.

Mo Jiu and the other selected candidates had gone into the dimension of the Dao ancestor and when they returned one year later, the realm was in chaos.

Elder Mo also came out of seclusion at that time and when he realized what had happened. He broke down and explained Mo Sheng's origin to Mo Jiu. He blamed himself for not being there and consequently developed a heart demon.

Mo Jiu was taken aback. He had no idea that Mo Sheng was indeed a hybrid. Why didn't Mo Sheng speak up? Why did he remain silent back then? If he'd spoken up then this war wouldn't have been triggered at all! Since Mo Sheng was his daxiong, Mo Jiu took it upon himself to carry the burden and swore to end the war.

And that was how his mission to unite both the righteous and demonic factions began. He had absorbed the inheritance of the Dao ancestor from the dimension so he was much more powerful.

Elder Mo died during his trial due to his heart demon and people tried to take over the Duoluo sect. Mo Jiu, being the king of defeating people much stronger than he was, had no problems with defeating all the greedy foes.

The sect leader of the Duoluo sect saw this and chose to hand over the position of sect leader to Mo Jiu and at the same time, hand over his son and daughter who desperately wanted to become Mo Jiu's lovers whilst he went into seclusion.

With the position of sect leader in Mo Jiu's bag, he had the other righteous sects submit to him one after the other, starting from the sects that had challenged the Duoluo sect when his master died.

Next he tore through the ranks of the demonic sects, wielding both his sword and penis and fighting both in and out of bed. As his power increased, so did his followers and also his harem of male and female beauties.

Whichever sect went against him met a gruesome end.

In the end, Mo Jiu finally became the one true emperor of the cultivation realm. He looked down at his harem of male and female beauties, consisting of cultivators from all factions -even the mortal realm- with different personalities, shapes and sizes, then his expression turned aloof.

He was just a poor orphan that had been lucky enough to be accepted by an elder of a righteous sect. But that was where his luck ended. He had worked very hard, using his blood and sweat to pave this path for himself, defying the heavens and mastering the dao.

It was lonely at the top though. If only his master was here and his daxiong hadn't started the war. When he looked back at the faces of his harem members welcoming him into their arms with soft bosoms and fragrant chrysanthemums, he smiled softly.

He was glad that he had his harem of beauties to warm his frozen heart.
