The blast had also affected the five other hover cars parked in the parking lot, causing them to skid a few meters away before slowly coming to a stop.

The incidence was detected by roadside CCTV cameras and siren sounds rang out as an ambulance was dispatched to the area. A lot of pedestrians were curious but -not knowing the people who had been involved- they turned their attention back to their bracelets and to the Yang Liqin news circulating the Federation Network.

Jin Qi and the two other soldiers were quickly found by the paramedics. All three people had wounds here and there but ultimately, they were fine. Ding Weimin on the other hand...

The General was right in the middle of the parking lot. A huge 100 metre crater had been formed around him and a high concentration of magnetic energy fluctuated in the crater as the man groaned in pain.

As no one could get close, the head paramedic took out a high resolution binocular to check on the General's situation and what he saw made him gasp in shock.

The upper part of Ding Weimin's formerly pristine uniform had been torn off, leaving his upper body exposed. He had thin bloody cuts all over the his face, chest and arms. His flesh also had a blue hue as waves of magnetic energy flowed outwards from within his body.

"Contact the Ding family immediately!" The head paramedic said to another paramedic by his side.

The other two soldiers slowly made their way over with Jin Qi right behind them. When they clearly saw Ding Weimin's state, their eyes widened in shock.

Jin Qi felt dread pool in her heart. This couldn't be happening. She was already engaged to Ding Weimin and the wedding was set to happen in seven months. How did he suddenly get infected with the magnetic energy once more?!

Just where did this situation place her? So what if Ding Weimin was the hero of the Federation? In this state, he was an clearly invalid! The Ding Weimin she wanted was General Ding, youngest General and Interstellar hero of the Plexar Federation.

The person who would earn her the envy of every single female alive and make her ascension onto her grandfather's position as Second Marshal much easier. She did not need Ding Weimin, the magnetic energy handicap!

----------------------------------

Ding Wang was right in the Ding mansion, having a drink with his wife. A hologram of a person was extended from the tab before him as he listened to the words of the Private Investigator he'd hired to investigate the source of the AO6 H. Aphrodisiac. The Fed police and even two people from his son's Special Ops team had been assigned to this case but he wasn't satisfied with just laying about.

He was a Ding too and even if he was a bad soldier, he loved his son dearly and would never give people the chance to think that it was okay to mess with him.

He'd just finished talking to the P.I when he received a call on his bracelet. He picked it up and then sprang up from his seat after the person on the other end said a few words, "WHAT?!"

Xia Yueyu also stood up in alarm. What was wrong with her husband? Ding Wang hurriedly explained things to her before rushing out. She screamed as she hurried after him whilst putting a call to the Third marshal. The minute the call went through, she wailed, "Father-in-law!...."

Over on Planet Crest, the Third army base Planet, a frown creased the Third marshal's mature face when he heard the cries of his daughter-in-law. He held up a finger to the soldiers reporting to him. "Yueyu take a breath before speaking. I can't understand a word you're saying."

A few seconds later, the Third marshal sprang up from his seat in alarm. He looked to a nearby soldier as he walked out. "Get a spaceship set on course for Earth!"

An hour later, a gamma metal reinforced low altitude Spaceship arrived at the area. This drew the attention of some people and when the Spaceship opened to reveal three soldiers fully equipped in their Tech suits, the surroundings blew up as more and more people gathered.

How could they not? Those were Tech suits!

Tech suits were weaponized gears invented for intense outer space battles. They were made through a seamless combination of the strongest metal in existence -which was the gamma metal- and the highest grade of nano material which allowed for tenacity, flexibility and balance. The suit consisted of four major parts: the helmet, the chest guard, the arm guards and the leg guards. Each individual part was connected with obsidian adamantine glass, forming the full body suit.

It was also equipped with top grade weapons and various high tech mechanisms that enabled it to be connected directly to the brain and operated with a single thought through the transmission of EEG signals from the brain to the various parts of the suit.

Due to how valuable and expensive the Tech suits were, only soldiers belonging to the Twelve-army Coalition were given access to them. It was also against the laws of the Plexar Federation for Tech suits to be seen in any Planet that was not a Twelve-army coalition base Planet with the exception of special circumstances.

This was the reason a lot of people were actually awed by the grandiose of the Tech suits. Although they'd seen tons of Tech suits on television and through the Federation Network, seeing them in real life was mind blowing -even though they felt a loss when the armoured soldiers did not activate their in-built weapons.

The paramedics tried to lead the people away but no one was having it. A few soldiers got down from the spaceship and also tried to chase the crowd away but the news of the armoured soldiers had already begun spreading on the Federation Network and more people were arriving by the second.

Since it was against the law and their code of conduct to apply force against civilians, harmless protective lasers were activated around the vicinity to keep people from going any closer as the armoured soldiers operated their Tech suits out of the Spaceship and landed into the crater in the ground.

A few people finally realized the reason for all the fuss when they witnessed a person being lifted from the crater. A young andronian female, who was recording the events excitedly, slowly zoomed on the holographic recording interface of her bracelet and squinted at the person being carried. Her eyes widened when recognition set in. "GENERAL DING!"

The ears of the surrounding youngsters, grown ups and even elderlies twitched as they looked around in excitement. "WHERE?!"

The andronian girl pointed. "Over there!"

Everyone turned once more to the direction of the armoured soldiers and their lips twitched. Where was General Ding? Could he be one of the armoured soldiers? They shook off that thought. General Ding's customized Tech suit could be recognized everywhere and it clearly wasn't one of those. Or... Was he undercover?

The eyes of a middle aged human male finally looked to the bloody person being held by the soldiers and they widened as he whispered, "That's General Ding?" He took in a sharp breath as he shook in horror. "OH MY GOODNESS!"

Another person also noticed and screamed, "GENERAL DING IS DYING!"

The entire street exploded with murmurs and reporters began appearing in the crowd to scoop the news.

"Min'er!" Xia Yueyu cried out when Ding Weimin was finally taken on the spaceship and placed in a reinforced room. She rushed over to the glass demarcation and stared in anguish as her only child groaned in pain.

Ding Wang walked over to hold his wife. Although he looked calm, his eyes were red as the low altitude spaceship took off in the direction of the Ding home. The doctors had already been informed so everything had been prepared.

The inside of the spaceship was filled with a sombre air as the soldiers inwardly mourned their general's state. Xia Yueyu cried for a while more before she suddenly remembered something. She looked around until her eyes settled on Jin Qi. She held out her arms. "A'Qi come."

Jin Qi eyed Mrs. Ding for a while before expressionlessly walking out of the room to a different part of the spaceship. She felt anger coursing through her veins. After Ding Weimin had managed to survive the attack the first time, she'd thought everything was over and she could finally have him without worries. Now though...

Was he really worth it? Although Ding Weimin was talented, there were other talented soldiers among their pairs, the Fifth marshal's last son for example. He was about five years older than Ding Weimin and had, just recently, become a general in the Fifth army. He was also quite handsome.

The only problem was Ding Weimin's brilliance was too much and had overshadowed others but it did not mean the others did not have influence and admirers too.

Jin Qi folded her arms across her chest as she walked about the spaceship. The events of today clearly showed that there was no way Ding Weimin would ever be completely rid of the magnetic energy. This time, she managed to escape in time but what if she married Ding Weimin in the future and was unlucky? What happens then, hm?

There was no way she could let that happen! She was the only shot at the Jin family retaining their military power once her grandfather decides to retire. Her parents had died when she was a baby and her elder brother was basically useless and only knew how to do business. How could business compare to real military power?

Xia Yueyu watched Jin Qi walk out with an expressionless face but she did not let it bother her. She just attributed it to the fact that the young lady was in a state of pure shock. Who wouldn't be shocked to suddenly find their fiance in such a state?

The spaceship finally arrived at the Ding mansion and Ding Weimin was once again transported out of the spaceship by the armoured soldiers. Xia Yueyu watched with her heart in her throat as he was placed in the same room that had been specially prepared for him years ago.

The room had two parts divided by an adamantine glass demarcation. One was a reinforced section that could withstand the force of the magnetic energy and the other was a control room of sorts.

It was impossible for anyone to get close to Ding Weimin without a Tech suit so to ensure the safety of the doctors, various high grade technological tools had been installed into the ceiling of the reinforced room to enable them monitor Ding Weimin's state and also administer drugs.

The doctors got to work soon enough, carrying out different tests on the General and also trying their best to reduce the bleeding and outpour of the magnetic energy.

Hours later, the Third marshal arrived on Earth to meet Xia Yueyu, Ding Wang and lastly, Jin Qi together in a room and awaiting the results.

"Father-in-law."

"Father."

"Sir."

The three people in the room greeted but the Third marshal only waved at them and walked over to stand right on front of the special room with tired and slightly reddened eyes.
