Chapter 166
Juliet took a sip of the mango milkshake to calm herself down. Otherwise, she wouldn't have managed to resist
the urge to cup with an excuse and escape again.
She kept reminding herself that she would have to face it sooner or later.
Juliet said, "What is it? | am listening."
Brantley said, "The mayor wants to setup with his daughter."
As soon as Brantley finished his words, the spoon in Juliet's hand suddenly fell and banged on the bowl! with a
clear sound.
Juliet wanted to force a smile but she realized that all her effort was in vain. She lowered her head and said flatly.
"Okay."
Her mind was blank. If she hadn't sat on the chair, she would have fallen to the ground.
Eventually, she had to deal with it.
Brantley observed Juliet's every movement. "Don't you want to ask what | think about it?"
Juliet suddenly raised her head and grinned, "Sienna is a better choice for you! Although I don't do any harm to
your work, | am of no use to you either! But she's different. Her father is the mayor. It will greatly help your
career. " Brantley's eyes darkened. "Is this what you think of me?"
Juliet looked at Brantley in confusion. "Isn't it what you're thinking about?"
Brantley knew Juliet wouldn't think too much about anything. "Who told you? Your best friend, Mikayla?"
Juliet didn't deny it. "Mikayla is worried about me. She's afraid that | will get carried away."
Brantley asked, "What if | tell you that | have refused the mayor?"

Juliet said, "Really?"
Brantley nodded.
Juliet smiled brightly. She stood up and kissed Brantley's pink lips across the table.
Juliet asked, "Why didn't you tellearlier? I've been worried about it for so long!"
Being hugged by Juliet, Brantley looked around. Juliet's excited voice had drawn many people's attention.
Brantley patted Juliet's hand to ask her to let go of him. "juliet."
Juliet was so happy that she had already gotten carried away. She cto her senses and sat back in her seat.
She looked around, pointing at Brantley, and explained, "He is my boyfriend! Aren't we a perfect match?"
Several young girls at the tables next to them nodded in response.
Someone said, "A perfect match, it is!"
Juliet was overjoyed. "Best wishes to you!"
Turning around, she looked at Brantley and asked, "Brantley, did you refuse Sienna because of me?"
She thought, 'Fortunately, I listened to what Mikayla said toand didn't pick up on Sienna.’
Brantley took a sip of coffee. "What do you think?"
Juliet was very happy deep inside.
Brantley asked tentatively, "Did your best friend tell you that | would choose Sienna?"
Juliet said, "No, she just analyzed the situation for me. She said you might pick her! Mikayla was just caring
about me." When people were in a good mood, they usually had a good appetite too. So Juliet replied to Brantley
as she ate the food.
Juliet was not very good at hiding. her thoughts or emotions. So she answered Brantley truthfully. She wouldn't
put her guard on with close friends. Brantley was her boyfriend and Mikayla was her best friend. She thought
both of them were the closest people to her and would never hurt her.
Brantley asked, "Do you trust your best friend a lot?"
Juliet said confidently, "Of course. She's like a sister to me." After taking a bite of the food, Juliet added, "By the
way, | haven't made an appointment with Mikayla and Carlos for us yet. When will you be free? How about we
have dinner with them?"
Brantley said perfunctorily, "Okay. Let's talk about it later!"
Juliet said, "Okay!"
Juliet's mood was like the weather. It changed very fast.
Juliet was not depressed anymore after what Brantley said about Sienna. She usually ate a lot and she ate even
more today.
The desserts here featured natural and healthy ingredients so she dared to eat a lot.
Then Juliet took Brantley's hand and went upstairs to shop for men's clothes.
Although Brantley said he was there for company, she thought it was improper for him to shop for women's
clothes. Besides, he was competing for the position of deputy mayor. It would be bad if someone saw him.
She knew she couldn't help Brantley's career so she decided to try her best to avoid doing any harm to it.
Juliet was in a good mood the whole afternoon. She didn't even feel tired after visiting every store selling men's
clothes on the third floor.
Seeing that Juliet was still energetic, Brantley admired a woman's energy when they were shopping. Gradually,
the way he looked at Juliet started to change. Juliet asked, "Brantley, how about this one?"
Juliet lifted an exquisite black suit. Suddenly, a slender hand tugged at the hem of the suit.
She turned to the hand and looked up at the person grasping the suit. She thought, 'Fuck! It's Elvis! Oh, my

Hearing Juliet's words, Brantley looked up and his eyes darkened.
Brantley thought, 'Elvis?'
Juliet behaved like she had touched something burning hot. She withdrew her hand immediately. She walked
toward Brantley. "Brantley, let's find another store! | don't think this one will look good on you." She was not
worried about Elvis. He didn't talk much.
But she didn't believe Kashton would remain silent. Besides, Kashton wanted to set her up with Elvis.
She thought, 'Damn it! Finally, Brantley and | are making progress. | won't allow him to ruin everything."
Her thinking about it was ominous. The more she was worried about something, the faster she had to face it.
Kashton walked to her and patted her on the shoulder. "Juliet, why are you avoiding us?"
Kashton had hidden at hbut failed to avoid being caught by Elvis. To not suffer any pain, he had to buy
whatever Elvis wanted for him today.
Being patted by Kashton, Juliet was scared out of her wits. But thinking that Brantley was present, Juliet bit her
lips and forced a smile. "I didn't see you. What a small world!"
Kashton said, "Stop! This is a tiny shop." He thought, 'l am not an idiot! This is a store selling luxuries, not just
any market. There're not many people.’
Juliet glared at Kashton and winked at him. She wanted him to do her a favor and not talk nonsense.
She said, "I see you now, okay?"
In her mind, she had cursed him a million times.
Kashton raised his eyebrow. He didn't intend to let Juliet get away with it. He said, "Are you going to introduce us
to each other?"
Just as Juliet was about to introduce them to each other, Elvis walked to Kashton and dragged him away. Kashton
struggled at first, but after Elvis said something, he just waved at Juliet. Elvis said, "If you don't wantto beat
you up or pay for a shocking bill today! Go ahead!"
