Reincarnated as an Energy with a System
Chapter 702: The Truth of GalthymoreNing returned back to the massive turtle and sat down alone on it.
The orange glow was starting to fade from the clouds and the moon Vira was showing its face in the sky. Its sister Sena had been in the sky during the day and was thus already gone away by now.
Ning lay down on the giant shell and looked at the early stars that were starting to show in the sky.
He relaxed for a bit and simply let the sea breeze accompany him while the turtle made its slow way through the ocean.
Ning suddenly switched body into the turtle and looked underneath it to check up on the pearls.
They were glowing with soft white color, which meant they were collecting energy. However, it would take a long time for them to be done.
Then, Ning switched back into his own body and looked at the sky.
After a while, he started to get bored and thought about what happened during the day.
"System, is my hair not changing color because of you?" Ning asked.
<Yes. You asked for a Red hair, so your hair will forever remain red because of your regenerative properties despite any changes that come to it>
Ning sighed. "Can you undo it please?" he asked.
The system did as asked and suddenly Ning saw the color of his hair change. It was Indigo.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Shit, that's too much, isn't it?" Ning wondered. "Bring back the red. I will think about what I want later on. Despite I can't change it right now. People will get overly suspicious."
His red hair returned and he was off to think about something else.
"Right, Galthymore. Is there any truth in that story about the Burning fish? Was the queen right?" Ning asked.
<The queen's folktale is vastly wrong from what is the true story>
"Oh, what is the true story?" Ning asked.
Apparently, nearly 300 years ago, the people that lives in this portion of the sea suddenly came to see something one day.
It was a massive burning beast that flew through the sky and disappeared into the ocean. Its cries were so loud and so destructive that people from all over the world heard them.
The beast was larger than the largest fish in the ocean and had many fins that moves around disorderly.
Hearing the information, Ning could imagine why the people of that time would be scared of this folktale.
A beast that burned and was larger than anything out there? That was the stuff of nightmares.
"Is the story true? Or is it just some random legend someone made?" Ning asked.
<It is true. People did in fact see it.>
"Oh, so does such a beast still exist. I would imagine it would've died by now, but then again the beasts do live for a long time," Ning said.
"A burning beast with many fins. I'm having a really hard time imagining what it looks like. Do you have any images of what the people saw back then?" Ning asked.
The system immediately gave Ning the image of the beast the people saw directly in the head. He got some of their memories.
Ning found himself standing amidst small huts as he looked at the night sky and saw the burning beast fly through the sky towards the distant ocean.
Ning was in awe for a moment when he saw the beast. The shiny, silvery skin, the large—
Ning's eyes went wide when he noticed something that these people didn't know to look for.
"System! Is that thing still around?" he asked hurriedly as he was out of the memories.
He stood up on the shell with adrenaline rushing through his body. Suddenly, he was filled with both anxiety and excitement at the same time.
<It cannot move anymore>
"Dammit," Ning thought. "But maybe I can help it. Where in the ocean did it fall? Rather, where exactly is it currently? Give me the exact location."
The system pinpointed the location for Ning on the map, which he looked at.
"That's not far away. Just 50 kilometers from here," Ning thought. He could immediately teleport there, but that thing had been there since 300 years ago, so there was no need to hurry.
He ordered the turtle to start moving and told it to be a little faster this time around.
The turtle was indeed surprisingly fast this time. It apparently had some sort of skill that made it easier to move in the water.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAfter half an hour, the turtle reached the location and stopped.
Ning looked around in the darkness and saw no ship, or islands close by.
"Roam around this place, but don't go too far," Ning ordered the beast and it started moving.
At the same time, Ning plunged into the dark and cold ocean.
Ning couldn't see anything around him, so he had to use his vision skill. Suddenly, as if it were a bright day, perhaps even better than that, he could see everything in the ocean clearly.
He could also see how deep the ocean was and how far below he would have to go.
'Twice in one day, huh?' he thought and started moving. From time to time as he moved down, he sent out pulses of loud, terrifying sounds to keep away the beasts from approaching his location.
His breathing skill had already kicked in this deep in the ocean and he started blowing out bubbles after bubbles of air into the surface.
Finally, he came to the bottom of the ocean where 'Galthymore' lay now.
Sand had filled most of it, but Ning could still see some of it sticking outside the ground.
Ning reached the sea floor and landed gently, disturbing the sand around his feet.
He then wiped away sand in a small area and grabbed onto something to pull it out of the sand.
If people heard he was pulling a 300-year-old beast from the sand, they would expect him to have pulled out bones.
However, that wasn't what he pulled out at all. Instead, he pulled out something that was completely made out of metal.
After all, Galthymore, the burning fish, was in fact a Spaceship.
