Chapter 1275 False Death State

"Mr. Lloyd, hello. I'm Chloe Yelton." Following the information the employee gave them, Chloe pulled Roxanna to the

reception room and was shocked to see Albert organizing the drugs he had brought with him.

"I know, and you must be Roxanna Miller. Alright, let's not waste time on pleasantries. Take me to check on Nicole,"

the man urged, aware of the urgency in dealing with voodoo bugs, making a thorough checkup for Nicole his top

priority.

After all, Nicole was White Nicholson's only apprentice, so he could not let her die at the hands of a voodoo bug.

However, Chloe bowed her head and choked back her emotions as she responded, "Mr. Lloyd, Nicole passed away

yesterday. Her body is still in the operating theater. I'll guide you there."

After hearing the devastating news, Albert's legs almost gave way, but his secretary swiftly provided support. How

could this be? How could Nicole have died so suddenly?

In a sudden realization, he pressed onward, urging the two women, "Quick, bring me to see her. If she's been

planted with the supreme voodoo bug, its penultimate stage induces a false death state. She might be in that stage

now."

Meanwhile, Chloe and Roxanna exchanged surprised glances but said nothing as they hastily led Albert to the

operating theater.

Before going in, he instructed, "You two stay outside. I'll go in alone." With that, he entered the operating theater,

leaving Chloe and Roxanna exchanging a look. Their confidence in leaving the man alone with Nicole stemmed

from his identity.

Meanwhile, Albert approached Nicole cautiously and placed his sanitized medical box on the tool bench beside the

surgery table. Upon closer examination, he noticed Nicole's lips gradually turning black. Time was of the essence,

and he wasted no further time, immediately opening his medical box to administer treatment.

His swift arrival proved a stroke of fortune, for adhering to the original plan and arriving the next day would have

rendered Nicole's condition irreversible. Initially unaware of the severity of the situation, he was pushed to conclude

his research ahead of schedule, a fact for which he begrudgingly thanked the "brat" who had compelled him to

expedite his tasks. Had this not transpired, a catastrophic outcome would have loomed.

As the surgery progressed, Chloe and Roxanna wrestled with anxiety, pacing restlessly as they cast anxious glances

at the illuminated sign above the door. The lingering light only heightened their unease.

Meanwhile, Nicole felt as though she had just awoken. Gradually sitting up, she realized she was still trapped in

darkness. However, a familiar sound reached her ears. Is someone saving me? Suddenly, a brilliant light pierced

the darkness, momentarily blinding her. In the next instance, she lost consciousness and slumped to the ground.

In the meantime, Albert felt relieved as her pallor gradually became rosy. He knew he had successfully saved her.

Soon, the operating theater door slowly opened.

When the two women outside heard the noise, they dashed over so quickly as though they had teleported. Catching

sight of the man's smile and his subtle nod, they broke into wide grins. They knew Nicole was saved and she had

been resurrected.

"Chloe, we should be happy that Nicole is alive. Why the tears?" Roxanna's cheeks were streaked with tears as she

playfully teased Chloe, who was also wiping away her own.

"Why point fingers when you're doing the same?" Chloe's tears were those of happiness, her smile radiant. Gently,

she helped Roxanna dry her cheeks.

Roxanna responded with a sheepish grin, reciprocating the gesture. The news of Nicole's return was the most

uplifting tidbit she had ever received, having grappled with the anguish of losing her.

"You must ensure she receives ample nutrients in the coming days. Things like nutrient fluids and healthy meals

must be given consistently. Barring unforeseen complications, she should regain consciousness by tonight," Albert

advised, gratitude filling his heart as he witnessed the jubilance of the two women. Also, he felt assured that Nicole,

with such dedicated employees, would elevate the research center to unprecedented heights.

"Yes!" the two women chorused in unison.
