Everyone had their jaws slack when they saw Godnim's hand impaled right into Soran's chest, leaving behind a huge bloody hole while Soran was still standing and looking at him with his eyes bulged as if they might pop out any moment.

Soran was so shocked and stunned that he couldn't even feel any pain, yet at the same time, he couldn't even move a single finger. It was as if he got petrified and lost all sense of his body.

Damien smirked subtly as he pulled out his hand, and everyone again gasped as they saw a beating heart in Godnim's palm, dripping with dark red blood.

"What an ugly heart…as expected from a pig like you…It's a pity your grand entrance was short-lived…" Damien made a snide remark as he shook his head while Soran coughed out blood at the same time, his widened eyes laid sight on his own heart resting on Godnim's palm.

This sight was so shocking he was unable to even form any coherent thoughts and could only look at Godnim as if he was looking at a monster.

Not only him but even the majority of the people were looking at Godnim as if he was not human. All of them saw that Godnim never used a wisp of his ethereal energy and despite that, his fist punctured Soran's defensive energy as if it was paper and even punctured through his flesh like it was nothing.

But none of them had any idea that Godnim actually inherited the strength of a True God who specialized in physical strength and regeneration as well. So Damien could actually afford to not hold back even if he might hurt his hand upon hitting any hard or sharp object since his hand would quickly heal.

However, in Soran's case, there was really no need to not hold back. He didn't even know that even if he had even gone all out, Godnim would barely have a scratch on him.

But Soran didn't even have the luxury to know how someone as young as Godnim could be stronger than him and before he knew it, his vision blacked out as he collapsed on the floor, his eyes gray and lifeless.

"Haa…I didn't expect things to get this messy…" Damien mumbled as he wiped the blood away in disgust.

He then raised his head and looked at Ruthren as he asked, "Your Majesty, I hope you don't take any actions against me for killing your eldest son in a spar. After all, you know we did this under your consent, and I am sure everybody here witnessed it."

Everybody became speechless, seeing how this young man had the gall to speak to the emperor who saw his most talented son being killed like nothing. It was not even a spar but a brutal one-sided slaughter.

Still, all of them couldn't help but look at Ruthren to see his reaction. Will he go against his word and kill Godnim as revenge, or will he respect his words as an emperor?

Ruthren was maintaining a calm yet stern look, though, on the inside, his blood was literally boiling. Only he knew how much hard work it took to raise someone like Soran and the number of resources he had to put in. But now, all of it went down the drain, and Soran died right after he revealed himself without even fulfilling his true purpose.

What he believed was just a cocky bastard turned out to be a hidden monster who was increasingly becoming dangerous in his eyes, and if he had the choice, he wouldn't blink twice about striking him down right here and now.

However, as Godnim stated, he was indeed the one who gave the green light for such deadly conditions where the losing party would probably die, but who would have thought that his son would be the one to die?

And as an emperor, he can't go back on his words. At least not in public, and so he said, "Even if this was an unfortunate loss for the Xeton Empire, I was fully aware of the possible outcomes when I told Soran to go ahead with the spar. And since he was the one who made the choice to accept it, then his life and death was also his own responsibility, and I as an emperor and his father respect that."

Everybody nodded as if in appreciation of the Xeton Emperor's words, thinking that he was indeed a true emperor to remain so unfazed despite losing such a talented genius right before his eyes.

They felt that they wouldn't be able to remain this calm if they lost one of their prodigal sons like that. Even the two other two emperors felt that and felt a bit inferior in this regard.

The Gale Emperor was now fully motivated to somehow bring Godnim into his fold since someone who dared to kill Ruthren's son would surely grow to be a dragon in the future, and he desperately needed someone like that as his loyal aide.

Still, he couldn't help but wonder where this guy was getting his courage from to act like this.

However, while everyone was feeling admiration for the Xeton Emperor, Damien inwardly scoffed, seeing how Ruthren was putting up a cool and cold act as he could imagine how frustrated and angry he must be feeling right now.

So just to add some salt to this wound, Damien gave a slight bow as he said, "I thank Your Majesty for being so kind as to not hold any grudge against me. I am sure no other father in the world can have a strong heart like yours. This is beyond fatherly love."

Everybody gulped and wondered if this kid was complimenting or mocking the Xeton Emperor.

Wasn't he going a bit too far? Even the Gale and the Lancaster Emperor wondered if this young man had a death wish since they could clearly sense what Godnim was pointing out, even if the words seemed like praise.

Ruthren's bones in his fingers were creaking as his hands formed into a fist, and for some reason, he couldn't help remembering a certain someone who was the only one who dared to ever speak up against him to the point of even humiliating him blatantly. Just thinking about it made his blood boil.

"Ah!~"

"Help!~"

However, suddenly the cries of two women distracted everyone as they bobbed their heads around to look at the large balcony.
