"Reva…" Damien mumbled with a smile the moment he saw Reva swoop down towards him for a tight hug.
"You left me so worried…" Reva mumbled in an aggrieved voice as she lightly fisted his chest.
She had no idea Damien would be putting himself in grave danger by revealing himself in a place filled with the strongest experts, especially even her own father. What was he thinking?
If she hadn't heard from her grandmother about how things went down, she would have considered it a miracle that he got out of it without a single scratch on his body.
Still, she was angry that he put himself in so much danger and even fought against the experts. She had purposefully waited to give him some time to reunite with Lily and Yuria before giving him an earful.

Right now, she only wanted to hug him and feel his warmth while making sure he was perfectly alright.
Damien felt guilty upon feeling the heaviness in her soul as her cold slender arms hugged his neck. He knew Reva was not someone who usually showed any emotions and that whenever she did, it only would mean that whatever she was feeling was beyond what she could hold in.
He sighed as he hugged her back firmly and kissed her head as he said, "I am sorry, Reva…I knew that you would try to stop me if I told you the entire plan. I would have tried the same had I been in your shoes. But there was no other choice. Other than Lily, Yuria was in immediate danger. I had to pull her out as well."
"I know…I know you did it to save them. But that is not what I am angry about. Next time, promise me you will tell me everything even if that might worry me. If you don't…then I won't talk to you…" Reva said in a teary voice, though her voice was still as cold as ice.
Her voice was cold by nature, and yet feeling the fragileness in her voice, it only melted Damien's heart.
"Okay, okay. I promise I won't keep you in the dark. Now don't be upset and show me your beautiful smile," Damien softly said as he raised her chin to look at her breathtaking face.
Reva felt a bit shy, especially since he said such words in the current situation where she was trying to show how angry she was.
Still, she could only look up when Damien turned her face towards him by her chin but looked away with a subtle pout.
"Wow…it's quite surprising how cute my lovely ice queen can be," Damien said as he caressed her cheeks, making her cheeks slowly dye in a beautiful red.
She felt even more embarrassed hearing his words and was finding it hard to keep up a peevish facade.
To not lose her composure, she suddenly decided to ask something that had been on her mind, "Before you sweet talk me…tell me how you didn't get caught. My grandmother said that you were right inside the Great Hall with experts from all the empires, including their rulers. And that somehow, two versions of you existed in the same place at the same time. How did you do it?" She curiously asked as she looked at him. She was sure there didn't exist any ethereal art in the world that would allow a cultivator to split themselves into two.

Damien could understand how astonished and surprised she must be after hearing about what had happened.
"Well, it is all thanks to the ethereal arts I gained from Yohr. He could split himself into multiple 'clones' of himself. Each of them was real or seemed real in every way. You can't even differentiate them by their ethereal auras. Of course, I haven't become proficient enough to use it as he did, but I was still able to create a single clone with my soul connected to it. So it is no different than having a single mind but two bodies. I would be able to see and feel everything from my clone body just like how I would feel in my original body."
Reva had her eyebrows raised in astonishment since she had never thought ethereal arts could be that powerful and profound. But then again, Yohr was a divine being, and so she didn't find it that surprising.
Instead, she felt proud that now her man had inherited the abilities of a god! Surely, he would have the greatest potential in the world. No one could hope to outshine him.
This made her think of something as she asked, "Doesn't this mean you can literally double your powers if you can split yourself into two? You can literally be unstoppable."
Damien shook his head as he slightly laughed, "Haha, it is not that easy. Otherwise, I wouldn't have to use so many tricks to get Lily and Yuria out. The downside right now is that my clone can't use any ethereal energy. At best, my clone would only be able to use the physical strength of my body. But I will try to figure out a way where my clone can use ethereal energy. As you said, that would be incredibly useful. Still, it is quite handy even now. People truly believe that I killed Godnim even though he is me. How funny…"
"Hmph, I heard rumors that Godnim's death broke the hearts of many girls. What do you have to say about that?" Reva asked with narrowed eyes, making Damien feel as if the air around him was getting too chilly.
Damien had a blinking expression as he coughed, "Girls? What girls? I don't know anything about that. Plus, why would I care about those girls if I already have amazing and beautiful women like you?"
