86 Waptip
Devon had been able to evade the detection of the three men, as he acted like one of the people who were captured on the ship.
He sat on the ship in the same manner as them, and when everyone’s attention was on the battle between metal man and Sylvia, he moved immediately. And since the speed boat was able to avoid detection, he could move unhindered.
“Boss,” The man with the dark curly hair suddenly appeared behind metal man. “We have questioned the people who were captured and apart from those two, there was also one person.”
“We have performed a full round check at the sea, and also interrogated the traffickers, but we weren’t able to get an answer from them. Even the search around the sea didn’t yield any result.”
The man took a deep breath, “What do we do, boss?” He inquired in a soft tone.
And in response, metal man shook his head, “We do nothing,” He responded. “He must have gone to call for help, so we wait for them to arrive.”
“Seeing the character ‘VA’ on their clothes, I can’t help but link them to that organization that has been terrorizing the world for decades.” Metal man sneered, “They have got away so many times, but this isn’t going to be one of them.”
“Put me on the phone with the hero league.” Metal man said.
With a nod of his head, the dark curly haired man did as he was told.

Meanwhile, Devon continued to accelerate forward. He didn’t take a break and only kept dashing, and after several hours of moving, he arrived at a beach.
The speed boat emerged out of the sea after Devon got to the beach. He then immediately leaped out of the boat and rushed towards the rocks which were on the other side of the beach.
Devon’s eyes scanned through the rocks in front of him, and after a few seconds, his face suddenly lit up. He took the rock that had the character VA on it, and mumbled, “The student’s council,” Devon spoke in a low tone.
It was then up to a second after he uttered those words, and he disappeared. The rock he was holding on to dropped to the ground and then hid under the surrounding rocks.
“Mom, come look, I saw someone.” After Devon disappeared, a boy who appeared to be at the age of five appeared. He pulled a middle-aged woman and pointed his hand at where Devon had been standing.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“There is no one here, Julius.” The middle-aged woman spoke.
The boy named Julius shook his head when he heard his mother. “How... He came out of that bo-” He abruptly paused, as when he turned to look at the speed boat, he had once seen, it was no longer there.
“Sigh... Let’s go, Julius. That’s enough fun for today.” The middle-aged woman said.

Meanwhile, when Devon disappeared from the beach, he appeared in the academy, specifically at the front of the student council building.
Once Devon arrived at the building, he didn’t waste any time whatsoever and went inside quickly. The student council building wasn’t a crowded place, but they were several people moving back and forth.
After a few minutes of elevator rides, and stair climbing, Devon arrived in front of the door. The instant he got to the door, he pushed it open and hurried straight inside.
“Y-You... Who do you think you are!!!!” Followed by Devon’s action was a loud and furious voice from one of the students in the meeting room.
Devon, however, didn’t glance at the person who spoke, and instead, his eyes went to the person seating at the other side of the table.
Devon’s mouth opened slightly, he was about to speak when Melanie rushed toward him. Melanie held his body which was apparently shaking and said, “What is it, Devon?”
“I want you to calm down, and talk to me,” Melanie said in a soft voice.
Melanie was wearing a fitting long sleeves green dress, with high-cut leg slits that showed off her shapely legs and low-heeled back heel. She stared at Devon with an expression simply full of worry and concern.
When Devon heard his elder sister, he took a deep breath. “Sylvia and Xavier have been apprehended,” Devon exclaimed.
“I want full details of everything that happened.”
Devon gasped, “We already captured the people we were asked to, we wanted to find a suitable location, and create the set-up for the family we were told to plot against when a ship came toward us.”
As Devon continued to give in more details about the event that occurred, Melanie placed her hand on her chin.
“Did you see any item, print, or logo on the ship?”
Devon abruptly paused for a few seconds before then nodding his head. “Yes, they had a freedom flag on the ship,” Devon muttered and then described the ship and the flag.
As the people in the room, including Melanie, heard Devon, the expression on their faces changed quickly. They glanced at one another before they shifted their gaze back to Devon.
Devon was oblivious to what had just occurred, as he focused on explaining everything that happened to his sister. He didn’t leave any part of the event out and explained it exactly how it happened.
“When I left the ship, Sylvia was fighting with the man covered in metal. And from my calculations and the brief exchange I saw between the both of them, there’s no way Sylvia can defeat that man.”
“Why are you people staring at me?!!! Ain’t you going to do something about it, or will you just sit there and watch as some people rip us apart.” Devon yelled.
And it came as a shock to him that, there was not a bit of response from the people in the room. They didn’t seem to be concerned about what happened, and when one of them spoke, Devon glared at him with killing intent.
“So, in other words, the mission was a failure.”
“You were not only able to frame the family you were to frame, but you also got yourself apprehended. And now that it has all gone bad, you come screaming for us to help you, tell me a reason why we should do something like that.”
It was the same youth that yelled when Devon barged into the room that spoke.
Devon flashed an irritated look at the youth and then said, “I wasn’t talking to you, I was speaking to my sister and the sensible ones. So, it best you mind your business.” Devon said.
“Y-You...”
The youth abruptly stood from his seat and pointed his finger at Devon. There was rage written all over his face, and the only reason he hadn’t advanced to Devon was because of the woman before him.
Suddenly, Melanie’s voice rang out. “Shut the fuck up, Ethan, before I shut you up myself.”
The youth named Ethan frowned deeply when he heard Melanie. He balled his hands into a fist and was about to speak when he saw that grim look that Melanie had on her face.
“Devon, I will handle this issue. You can leave.” Melanie turned towards Devon and spoke.
Devon, however, didn’t seem to be at peace with her words, as he shook his head multiple times. “No.”
“You’re able to save them, so why don’t you just go? I can take you there, Melanie.” Devon exclaimed.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Devon!” A second after Devon spoke, Melanie’s voice rang out. Melanie glared at her younger brother, she wanted to speak harshly to him, but seeing the expression which he had on his, she heaved a deep breath.
“It’s not as easy as you think.” Melanie paused, “The freedom flag you described belongs to an agency referred to as waptip.”
Melanie could see the bewildered expression on her brother’s face, and she said, “Waptip is an acronym for world agency for prohibition of trafficking in a person.”
“I know who waptip are. But, how can that be... Isn’t it too much of a coincidence that we encounter the waptip the day we are on a mission?” Devon said, “The location we chose hasn’t been ventured into by the agency for years now, so how come it’s now.”
Devon stared at Melanie with the intent that he wanted an answer for what occurred.
“And didn’t the academy say that the agency has already been taken care of, and we wouldn’t be having any problem in the sea?”
“So, how come this all happened?!”
Melanie stared at Devon for a few seconds before saying, “It’s what you think, Devon, we have a traitor in the council.” Melanie stated.
A startled look couldn’t help but appear on the faces of a couple of the people in the meeting room. They stared at one another with shock clearly evident on their faces, while their thoughts were unknown.
“But, that is for us to deal with and not for you,” Melanie said.
“Devon, I’m still unable to go get your friends, but I’m going to ask someone to help you,” Melanie said. She then turned towards the tall, spiky crimson-haired youth in the room.
“Vincent, I need you to take care of this,” Melanie said.
Vincent didn’t utter a word when he heard Melanie, instead, he nodded his head, and then stood from his seat. “Let’s go, kid,” Vincent muttered as he stared at Devon.
Vincent moved towards the door, he was about to pull it, when he paused. He stared at Melanie, “I heard the team seven have completed their mission, so I’m going to be taking them along.”
With that said, and Vincent walked out of the room. Devon also hurried out as well.
Melanie didn’t seem to have any problem with Vincent’s words, as she shifted her gaze back to the other people in the room.
“Melanie, don’t you think it’s excessive to send an S-rank metahuman to go deal with a D-grade mission.”
“The mission became a B-grade mission when waptip became involved,” Melanie responded.
