Chapter 666 Gratitude
They walked along a mountain road. After walking for about half an hour, they found that no paths were
ahead! Aarav wiped the sweat on his forehead and said, “We have gone deep into the woods. It is a
deep forest that has never been exploited before. We rarely come here. There are ferocious beasts in
this area. Like wolves, tigers, and leopards… But you guys are strong. You are going to be fine.” Aarav
smiled.
Gerald nodded and said, “Don’t worry. Just lead the way.”
Aarav nodded. “No problem!”
As Gerald and the others walked, they took a map and looked at it. It was just a hand-drawn map.
There wasn’t any detailed information on it. And there were no landmarks on that map.
That was also why Gerald’s group needed a guide. In an ancient forest like this, the scenery all around
looked very similar. It was very easy to get lost. Aarav lived in this forest all year long, and he had his
own unique way of
navigating.
Aarav nodded and said, “Well, it’s about half a day’s walk to the farthest place I’ve ever been. We have
to camp there and rest for a night before we go deeper into the forest.”
Gerald nodded and said, “No problem!”
As they walked, the girls put on their hats. But their personal fitness was unrivaled. The rough path did
not trouble
them.
Time flew by, and they sat down and ate some things like compressed biscuits at noon.
At five or six o’clock in the evening, Gerald and the others heard the sound of the water flowing. Aarav
was happy. He

Obviously, listening to the sound of water was Aarav’s way of orienting himself. He quickly went to the
side of the stream and looked around. He walked along the stream awhile and said, “This way!”
There was a wooden bridge over the stream. The bridge was made of several pieces of wood and was
very old. The
wood was rotten.
“This is the bridge my friends and I built to find our bearings.” Aarav coughed. And then, he said, “We
should be able to reach our destination in another two or three hours.”
“There is water here. Let’s set up camp here. Then you can bring us over to take a look at the place
you just talked about at night,” Gerald said.
“At night?” Aarav was shocked. He said, “Well… I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Why?” Claude put down his backpack and asked.
“That place… is like a mass grave,” Aarav said awkwardly.
“So what? There’s nothing to be afraid of. We can handle everything,” Theo smiled and said.
Aarav nodded after he heard that. “Alright, let’s set up camp here. I’ll take you there after dinner.”
They found a flat place and set up the tents. Then, they cleaned their faces with the water. After tidying
up, they started a fire to boil water.
Dinner was still compressed biscuits and instant food. After eating, Gerald put his backpack on the
ground and picked up the box with two swords. “Well, we’re just exploring the road tonight. This is not
our final destination. Our final destination is deeper in the deep forest. According to the map, there is
still about a tenth of the journey left. Let me go
to where Aaray’s been and see if there’s any danger!”
“No problem!” The others nodded.
“Let’s split into two groups. I’ll take Valery, Theo, and Milo with me. Carolyn, the five of you stay here. If
anything happens, you can take care of them. In short, be careful and take care of yourselves. There’s
a good chance there’s someone else here besides us,” Gerald sald.
Gerald and Carolyn were the strongest people on their team. It was best If they split up. That way, even
if they met a strong opponent, they could deal with it.
Carolyn nodded. “Okay, take care of yourself.”
Gerald nodded. They brought their flashlights. The sun was setting. Aarav led Gerald and the others
forward again. “Let me carry you. That way, we can go faster. Just focus on showing us the way,” Theo
looked at Aarav and said. “Em …. are you sure?” Aarav asked hesitantly.
“Yes!” Gerald shook his head and said, “We can go faster that way.”
With their cultivation, it was not a big deal for them to carry a person weighing more than a hundred
pounds. They were moving so slowly to accommodate Aarav. They couldn’t move at a fast pace.
Aarav nodded after he heard Gerald’s words. “Thank
you
then!”
After that, he climbed onto Theo’s back!
They had only spent about an hour on the two-hour journey. Aarav pointed to the front and said, “Here
we are!”
The sky was already dark, but Gerald and his team could still see clearly. Gerald looked ahead a few
times. There were many gravestones ahead.
Gerald was confused.
This place was a mass grave. According to the Purple Elite Ghost, they were going to a historical site
dating back many years. And that place was surrounded by an ancient forest. These graves should
have been overgrown by now. But the opposite was actually true. The tombs here remained
remarkably intact.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIt seemed like… someone had been guarding these graves.
“There… is something wrong with this place!” Theo said.
Gerald nodded. Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat. It felt like something dangerous was about to
happen soon!
“All of you, get out of here, now!” Gerald exhaled and said.
“What?” Valery’s expression changed slightly.
Gerald was surprised because Valery and the others didn’t feel that. This meant they would have to
deal with someone
as strong as Davis.
“Take them back to where we came from. I remember the way. It’s dangerous here. I will come back
later!” Gerald
said. “I can handle this!”
“Well…be careful!” Valery didn’t dare to hesitate and quickly retreated.
Less than a minute after they left, Gerald raised his head and looked around. He saw two black
shadows on the tree. around him. The shadows were rapidly approaching him.
Gerald smiled coldly. Then, he tapped the box with one hand. The box opened, and two swords landed
in his hands.
“Bring it on!” Gerald shouted and jumped towards the shadows.
Clang.
Clang.
The two shadows collided with Gerald. And then, they quickly jumped away. They lay on the other two
trees. And they didn’t make a move immediately.
Gerald was shocked. From what he had seen, these two people were as strong as Davis.
But before today, neither the Night Watch nor the other organizations knew anything about these two
people.
