With the new assisting item strapped onto his hand, Eisen grabbed a rather simple potion and poured it out into a bowl. He activated the enchantments on the assisting item and then poured his mana into the potion to start splitting it into his materials. And the moment that he did so, the ’Material Extractor’ sucked away all of the small parts of the potion that Eisen had split off of it.
It continued on and on until the bowl was just completely empty, and at that point, Eisen simply held his hand to the side over five different bowls before making all of the ingredients of the potion pour out into those bowls.
And sure, while it maybe didn’t save him an extraordinary amount of time, it was still a little bit. And a little bit could come a long way. Just like this, with the help of this new item made by Eisen’s elemental, the old man could keep on gaining proficiency for the Extraction skill a little bit faster and more efficiently compared to normal.
For the next few hours, basically during not only during the whole trip to the next island in the first place, but also while they were actually on the next island and the others were fighting again, Eisen just kept on extracting different materials out of potions. Whenever a potion had more than five materials, he would extract all parts belonging to five materials, empty out the canisters of the tool, and then move on to the next few materials.
Like this, it didn’t take long until a certain notification appeared in front of Eisen.
[Extraction has reached level 100 in rank 3, upgrading to rank 4]
Eisen smiled as he waved the notification away. He just got the ability to even extract sub-parts out of different materials, which would come in handy. That meant for example that if he wanted to use a root’s sap that numbed your skin when you touched it, Eisen could extract just that part that numbed you very easily without having to go through multiple other processes.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtNow, Eisen had just two skills left. Material Growth and Magic Craftsmanship. The way it was going, Eisen figured that Material Growth would end up ranking up within the next day or so, so instead he just had to focus on Magic Craftsmanship.
And for that, he already had a pretty good target. The thing that he wanted to already make a while ago, for which he had created all of those Ego-Golem Mock-Spirits for the others. Eisen looked over to the side as he pushed himself off the ground.
"Sigurd, bring me the silver-dragon mana." The old man said, and just a few moments later, Sigurd appeared in front of Eisen with a large clump of silver in its hands. And sure, while it looked like regular silver outwardly, it really was just crystalized mana instead.
Eisen took it from Sigurd and placed it down in front of him. First things first, he had to figure out a good way to make use of this. By creating the mock-spirits, Eisen learned what he had to focus on exactly when trying to work on this item. The thing was that items made with magic-craftsmanship were supposed to be spells-turned-items, but what Eisen had been doing with the other mock-spirits was making items-turned-spells. He was making them in the way he regularly would, just using crystalized mana as replacement-materials. And that was not what he should do. After all, he could turn the crystalized mana into basically anything that he had knowledge of.
For now, Eisen would just make use of a trick. In the end, it was possible for Eisen to change the ’state’ of the crystalized mana again after already assigning it. So basically, he could work with some crystalized mana as if it was metal for an hour, and then just say, ’You’re wood’, and it would turn into some kind of wood. This would come in pretty handy for what Eisen was making now. And for one of the first times while crafting, except for when he was carving enchantments, Eisen shrunk down instead of increasing his size, to make these small items a bit easier to work on.
Eisen shrunk down to roughly 15 centimeters, the absolute smallest size he could reach, which became a little more than 20 centimeters once he activated his draconic demon transformation. And before he knew it, Eisen’s spirit shrunk down as well and now stood next to Eisen, ready to help him with his work.
"Then let’s get this started." Eisen said with a light grin on his face, and then scooped off a little bit of the crystalized silver-dragon mana off of the, compared to him, giant clump of crystalized mana.
And after that was done, Eisen made the mana act like a metal and then threw it into the tiny forge he just made in front of him. After it heated up, the old man got started, and turned the piece of ’metal’ into the shape of a bone. The same with the piece of mana-metal after that, and the one after that. That was because Eisen was once more just making a skeleton right now. Not any kind of skeleton, but the skeleton of a dragon. Although, even compared to Eisen’s size right now, it would be a rather small dragon. Proportionally, it might be a little bit bigger than Fafnir when compared to Eisen at his regular size.
Anyway, Eisen just continued making the skeleton. And not only once. Instead, he made the dragon skeleton five times. Of course, it did take quite a while to do that, but the others weren’t back just yet, or even managed to set up the town, meaning Eisen could take his time for a little while longer.
After Eisen finished the bones and things like joints for the five dragon skeletons, the old man grabbed the bones one by one and changed the material assigned to them from a metal to bone. Dragon-Bone.
This time around, Eisen was actually going to try to create a proper living being through all of this, as if he was Doctor Frankenstein. Besides the bones, he even formed the internal organs using the same crystalized mana after assigning it some other property, and then just turned them into exactly what organs they were. Eisen was rather surprised at how easily this worked, but he was glad that it did, in the end.
The odl man managed to create the five dragon bodies like that, creating things from bone marrow to muscles to scales, literally anything that was part of a dragon’s body.
And then, to finish it off, Eisen tried something else out. He tried to merge a soul with the silver-dragon mana by continuosly infusing it with it and assigning different properties to the actual mana, and in the end, the mana was really absorbed and the souls took on a light metallic, silver shine and tint.
Eisen slowly tried to push souls’ core itself into the center of the mana-dragons’ hearts and tried to fuse them together even further. And then the rest of the soul was just spread around the whole dragons’ bodies. And all of that without even creating something like Golem Cores. It was more like the whole bodies of the dragons were the golem cores instead. Just like that, the old man was finished and could slowly increase his size to normal again.
He picked the five small dragons up and placed them down on a table right in front of him. With a bit of mana, he basically ’jumpstarted’ their souls, and Eisen watched as the tiny mock dragon-spirits started to move around. It took a little while for htem ot get used to their bodies, but at some point they were just able to properly jump around. They weren’t able to perfectly fly just yet, but at the very least they could use their wings to support their jumps.
With a smile on his face, Eisen saw them as finished.

With a light laugh, Eisen looked at the five tiny mock-spirits and waved the notifications away before properly trying to test everything out with these five guys. He didn’t give them anything on their bodies to directly make them subordinate to Eisen, but instead just put a small ring around their left back ankle. Like you might see with dogs.
This was basically something of a replacement so that Eisen could give them commands for now, but so that he could just at some point remove the rings when he made sure that the small mock dragon-spirits weren’t aggressive or dangerous in any way.
"Come." Eisen said in a clear tone and extended his hand forward. One after another, the five tiny mana-dragons jumped onto Eisen’s hand and climbed up his arm until they sat on his shoulders together with the small elemental spirit that didn’t increase its size again after it helped Eisen craft in their small form.
"It uses her mana, so maybe..." The old man muttered, and then thought about what magic abilities Eisen remembered silver dragons to have, and then made one of the dragons climb onto his hand that he stretched out toward open space.
"Use the cold breath spell." Eisen said, and the small mana-dragon on his hand slowly opened its mouth up and pushed out cold mist out of it that quickly spread around. It wasn’t a lot, since the ego-rank of the mock-spirit didn’t allow for a lot of mana to be used or even produced, but it was better than nothing at all. Eisen was sure that the amount would increase many times once he actually gave the mock-spirit souls that actually produced a proper amount of mana.
"Switch out." The old man commanded, and the mana-dragon currently on his hand switched with another one, that Eisen then commanded to use another spell of a silver dragon, "Use the paralyzing breath spell." Eisen told it, and a poisonous green mist poured out of the mana-dragon’s mouth that just so slightly made Eisen’s fingers tingle, showing him that it actually worked properly.
With a smile on his face, the old man cracked his knuckles and made the mana-dragons climb back onto his shoulders, before he opened up a gate to lead him to the outside. The others weren’t finished conquering the island just yet, so maybe Eisen would be able to help out a little. After all, even just by waiting, he would completely rank up the last skill he needs to before even becoming a king.
The old man smiled lightly as he looked out of the gate and at the giant sword currently being swung down at a group of monsters.
