Lily frowned and looked toward the bedroom.
One bedroom was on both sides of the corridor with the doors closed.
If anyone else was in the apartment unit, the person had to be in either one of those rooms.
“He doesn’t wish to see you!”
Olivia turned around, wiped tears off her face, and said coldly, “There’s nothing to discuss, so just go!
He worked for you and willingly saved you, but what you did disappointed him.
Let’s not ever meet again!”
“No!”
Lily said decisively.
“We must talk it out and put the misunderstanding to an end! If Alex truly did it, I would not forgive him,
but what if Edward misunderstood the situation? Since we’re here, what could be better than them
sorting it out together?”
Olivia looked at Lily hesitantly —all this while used to listening to Lily’s instructions and had even

As she hesitated, a deep male voice came from the corridor, “There’s no need.I have nothing to say to

The trio looked over and saw Edward emerging from inside in a wheelchair.He pushed the wheels
forward and looked like he had lost much weight.
However, his gaze was frigid.
“Edward.”
Alexander turned and called out to him before striding over.
“Don’t get any closer!”
Edward stopped pushing the wheels, put up a hand, and looked at Alexander.
“Do not come near me—just stand where you are!”
