Mike didn't reply. He suspected that was not it but couldn't tell why. Just as they pondered about the
matter, the car suddenly braked, causing them to lurch forward.
Alexander reseated himself and looked ahead. "What happened?"
"Sir..." The chauffeur pointed.
Alexander saw a woman blocking the car with her arms outstretched. Seeing the car had stopped, she

Austin was shocked when he recognized the woman. "Why's she here?"
The woman was Rhea's mother, Maria.
"Sir?" The chauffeur looked over his shoulder at Alexander.
Alexander waved his chauffeur off and opened the door to get out of the car. He asked, "What can I do
for you?"
Maria threw herself over. "Where's my daughter?! Did you kidnap her?"
Alexander blocked her assault and said casually, "She's not with us."
"You're lying! I saw you guys taking her away." Initially, Maria thought Alexander would hand Rhea over
to the police. Yet, after a long while, she discovered that wasn't the case.
"She escaped," Alexander answered truthfully.
Judging from Maria's actions, he realized Rhea hadn't contacted her mother after escaping.

"She escaped?" Maria hesitated momentarily before shaking her head. "I don't believe you! How could
she escape? There are so many of you. Besides, if she escaped, why hasn't she called me? You
must've hidden her somewhere!"
Maria became more agitated as she convinced herself that was the case. "Return my daughter to me!"
She tried desperately to hit Alexander, but he easily held her at bay. Austin then got out of the car and
said, "Rhea really did escape. She's now in the Yudonia embassy. You should look for her there."
Maria shocked.
Alexander was surprised when Austin told her that. He glanced at Austin, and the latter shrugged,
saying, “Rhea's there. Look for her there if you don't believe me. As to why she didn't contact you,
perhaps. she doesn't wish to see you?"
