The soldiers became intimated by the threat. Even though they had the backing of the Blackheath family, it wasn’t unusual to hear about a noble cutting their tail, and the people under them ended up being responsible for everything that happened.
Additionally, behind Vincent were women glaring at them and even the slaves looked angry. The soldiers were eight, and they were armed, yet the people in front of them not only outnumbered them but fighting against a noble could prove to be a losing battle.
Yet not all soldiers were completely intimidated by the threat. A few young ones believed their sponsor would back them up. In the end, about half of the soldiers considered listening to Vincent’s order, while the rest were considering against listening to Vincent’s order.
Similarly, the coachman wasn’t that interested in listening to Vincent’s absurd order of giving them a ride home. When he saw most of the soldiers start to submit to Vincent’s authority, he shouted, “Noble or not, we have powerful people backing us, and his threats will not work on us.”
“Soldiers escorting this cargo. Arrest that man for being in possession of illegal... ” The coachman shouted before abruptly stopping.
Green light appeared in Vincent’s hand, and it quickly formed a sword. After the hand clenched the hilt tightly, the sword was thrown at the coachman with great power, swiftness, and accuracy.
*Bam* The coachman watched the sword fly toward him, and his life flashed before his eyes. He almost soiled himself, yet his eyes couldn’t help but move to his right and see the reflection of his pale face on the blade stuck a couple of inches away from his head.
“Didn’t I say these slaves were bought legally? Doubting a Baron is a criminal offense. That ordinary sword throw with a quarter of my power was the first and last warming. Obey or be executed for talking back to a noble.” Vincent said with an authoritative voice. Each and every word released bloodlust and intimidation intent.
The soldiers who didn’t submit to Vincent’s authority submitted after realizing Vincent was a person out of their league, both in power and authority. Even if the Blackheart family were interested in backing them up, they would be already dead or imprisoned for a random crime against a noble.

Similarly, the coachman submitted to Vincent’s authority and demand. Living another day was more attractive than losing his favor with the Blackheart family for delaying the cargo he had to deliver in time.

However, they also realized Vincent could be really doing this for their sake, yet they were still in doubt. Only the two lizardmen completely believed Vincent was doing this to help deliver their child safely.
Looking at soldiers with terror, the shivering mermaid on Lupa’s back moved her dull and lifeless gaze on Vincent. Watching and hearing Vincent trying to acquire a carriage for slaves who were badly treated for years, moved her closed heart.
“O-o-okay.” The coachman stuttered. “B-but I need help to place the cargo on the back.”
“We will help.” More than half the soldiers promptly said while their body was still trembling from the wave of bloodlust Vincent sent toward them.
[Great. We can take the injured slaves back home, but there is still a problem, there isn’t enough space for everyone to fit inside. Not to mention the orc takes the space of two people with his large body.]
Vincent turned around. “I hate to say this, but can you girls walk back home? There isn’t enough space for all of us.” He asked.
“I don’t mind walking. I don’t feel much cold, but it might be because of what Mimi said. My people’s blood offers more cold and heat tolerance than ordinary blood.” Ester said, accepting to go for a walk with the girls.
“I also don’t mind going out for a walk. But I will miss my mate.” Lupa agreed, yet she looked unhappy to be apart from Vincent.
“I would like to walk with my sisters too.” Iris agreed. She looked interested in a girls-only trip. This was going to be her first time walking the streets without Vincent being with her. The new experience excited her.
“Vincent. We gave them the potions before Jun Ye Rim told us about Kazumi’s message. You can take them home, and we will help take care of their medical needs.” Lilith said while expressing her devotion to helping the slaves become healthier.
“I will have to walk too, then.” Jun Ye Rim looked at the Lionheart Girls and continued, “But it’s not like I want to spend time in the city with you all. I just feel like walking, that’s all.”
Plow jumped down from Jun Ye Rim’s healthy arm. She wagged her tail excitedly and barked happily. *Pho, Pho* “Plow also wants to walk. Walking on the white fluffy snow is fun.”
Vincent knew he could leave his wives to roam the city without worrying about them. The four wives, Plow, and Jun Ye Rim, wasn’t a weak team. Their combined power could make them a C Ranked team or higher.
In the girls-only team, Ester and Lupa were two strong fighters. Iris was also strong, but she couldn’t reveal her powers. Lilith was the pain reliever, yet she had already used her Divine Blessing for the day. Plow could help, but only for a few minutes or so. On the other hand, Jun Ye Rim could use Blemish to scout their surroundings and never get lost.
The soldier leader approached Vincent and respectfully said with his voice slightly trembling, “We can depart immediately.”
“Great.” Vincent looked at the slaves and continued, “Enter inside the carriage. We are going to your new home.”
Vincent carefully lifted the female lizardman and looked at his wives. “Enjoy the day, and leave the rest to me. There is no need to hurry back home.”
Ester, Lupa, Iris, and Lilith nodded at Vincent with a warm smile. They felt pleased to hear how Vincent wanted to take care of this situation by himself and give them time to enjoy the morning. Their trust in Vincent allowed them to temporalty stop worrying about the conditions of the slaves.
“I hope I can see your child when we return. ” Ester told the female lizardman said with a beaming smile.
“I also want to see a lizard pup.” Said Lupa while her tail slightly wagged.
“I will prepare a healthy drink full of vigor when we return. See you later.” Iris promised with a warm smile.
“We will see you later and give your family a warm stay. So hold on because your new life is just beginning.” Lilith was encouraged to give the female lizardman the desire and strength to survive childbirth.
“Good luck.” Jun Ye Rim said.
*Pho* “Plow wants to see a baby. Plow will make baby happy with Plow’s very very soft fur.”
The female lizardman was taken by surprise. After living as a slave for years, she had forgotten how it felt to receive the kindness and warmth of strangers.
The female lizardman smiled warmly and felt at ease. If she passed away, her child wasn’t going to live a life of suffering.

The soldiers climbed on their horses, and the coachman waved his whip. The carriage escorted by eight Blackheart family-sponsored soldiers left for the Emerald Lionheart Mansion, leaving five women and a little fox behind.
“Let’s go, hehe.” Lupa cheerfully said as if she had become the pack leader.
“Remember not to cause any trouble.” Ester said with her hands on her hips and gave Lupa the stare of ‘I will pull your ear as punishment.’
“Hehe, does that mean Lupa is our leader?” Lilith joked.
*Pho?* “Plow wants to be the leader.”
Lupa and Plow stared at each other. Both wanted to be the leaders and have the rest following them.
*Cough* “I think it is better to let Lupa lead us.” Iris said while lifting Plow. “We can’t have our cute fox be taken away from us. The children and we will be sad.”
“Okay.” *Pho* Plow looked at Lupa with a triumphant expression, making Lupa feel she had won the fight but lost the war.
Lupa frowned. “Follow me, my pack. Best girl Lupa is the Alpha today.” She said before moving forward.
Ester, Iris, Lilith, and Jun Ye Rim followed the excited wolf girl. This abrupt occasion could allow them to take their minds off the female lizardman and the judgment by combat situation. The girl’s only morning had just begun.
Jun Ye Rim remained a spectator while following them. She couldn’t understand why Lupa and Plow two acted as if being the leader was a wonderful thing to do. She believed following and taking it easy was better than the stress of leading and taking care of others.
‘Why do these people like to stand out? First was the attention-grabbing walk. Then we visited an illegal slave trader and saved five slaves. Then ordered soldiers sponsored a family that dislikes us to give the injured slaves a ride home. And it is still morning.’ Jun Ye Rim pondered.
Jun Ye Rim ignored the fact she was like them. She also stood out for being an elf with the clothes of a noble in a human city. Her long white hair attracted a lot of attention, and when people looked at her face, they saw a pair of deep black eyes.
