Chapter 530
Time was needed to retrieve the footage, Ella fold Larissa to leave first and that she would send it over
to her later.
Larissa held Aster’s hand tightly. She was really scared. The unknown man Ella mentioned. Although
she had not seen him in person,
she had a feeling that the man was not anyone with good intentions.
“Ms. Gilmore said that a man came to pick you up?” Larissa asked Aster.
“Yep.” Aster nodded, “But I didn’t know him, so I didn’t leave with him.”
“Great job!” Larissa smiled and gave him a thumbs–up.
Ever since he was able to understand them she and Wendy had been teaching him about stranger
danger. It seemed that their hard work
had paid off.

informed Ms. Gilmore, you can’t leave with anyone who says that they’re here to pick you up, and that
includes Uncle Kevan and Uncle Dylan, do you understand?”
“Aww—” Aster’s face crumpled. “Why are Uncle Kevan and Uncle Dylan not allowed either?”
“Because Mommy will worry.” Larissa looked down at the kid next to her, and her anxiety began to
spiral-
The moment Larissa reached home. Ella had taken a picture of a scene of the surveillance footage and
sent it over to her.
The man’s appearance was fairly visible in the picture. Larissa studied him for a long while, but could
not recall where she had seen him before. She did not know this man, but he still called himself her
friend and had tried to take Aster away.
No matter how she looked at it, this was a faled kidnapping attempt. But as no harm was truly caused,
telling the police would go
nowhere.
Larissa did not waste time doing that. She informed Wendy about this incident and they decided to
send Aster back to Aldovia.
“It might be a bit difficult to handle Aster.” Wendy was very worried. “He really likes his life now, and he
can’t leave you.”
“I will go back someday.” Larissa had already faltered once when it came to Aster. If he went back to
Aldovia, she would have to follow.
She would never toss him aside and let him be like that.
“Anyway—“Wendy pursed her lips. “Good luck with him!”
Wendy’s concem was not excessive. Aster displayed a huge resistance to Larissa’s “Return to
Aldovia’s idea. “Why do I need to go back? Aren’t I just fine here? He frowned, his whole body stiff with
tension.
Larissa crouched in front of him and held his hands tightly, murmuring softly, “Because Mommy is

abruptly in her mind’s eye, and she could not stop hersell from shuddering.
Aster froze.
“The man that came to pick you up today may be a bad guy.” Larissa tried to use descriptions that he
would understand, “Mommy does not know who he is, nor do I know if he will have other ways to take
you away. So, for your salety, Mommy can only send you back to Aldovia.”
The last kidnapping incident had left its grim mark on Aster’s heart. He paled at once, pank and fear
surging up at the same time, and he flung himself into Larissa’s arms, hugging her tightly.
Tu go back. His voice was muffled and shaky.
Larissa patted his back gently, her heart feeling like it was being stabbed by needles.
Larissa went through the procedure to temporarily suspend Aster’s studies. She did not directly
withdraw him from school probably out of some small sliver of hope–that the matter could be solved
well, and he could still come back and resume his studies.
After all, he did seem to like it here better.
She did not tell Ella the reason for suspending Aster’s studies, but as the two incidents happened in
succession, it was easy for people to connect both incidents together.
