Chapter 2331

Quintina had strongly requested it, so James had no choice but to let her into the Celestial Abode.

Then, James turned around and left. After determining the direction, he moved forward quickly.

His appearance had already been leaked. If he walked around in the Ancient Realm like this, his whereabouts might

be discovered. So, he made a mask.

It was a silver–colored mask that obscured half of his face. Only the bottom half of his face was visible.

A day later, James appeared in a city. Since he was unfamiliar with the Ancient Realm, he needed to purchase a

map in order to locate the Welkin Academy.

Even though he was currently a cultivator, he still needed to eat. It was a habit he had picked up on Earth. After not

eating for a while, his heart felt empty, as if he had lost something.

The city in the Ancient Realm was quite prosperous. There was a lot of foot traffic.

In a restaurant in the city, a man in a black robe and a half–silver mask was savoring some delectable fare slowly in

a corner.

Many people had gathered in the restaurant and were chattering idly.

“Have you heard? The Divinity Sect was destroyed.”

“Mhm. I knew. I’ve heard it was destroyed by the Demon Race. The Demon Race surrounded and attacked the

Divinity Sect. The battle was joined by extremely powerful cultivators from the Ancient Realm, but everyone died.”

The people who had gathered mostly talked about the Divinity Sect. However, nobody was aware of the

truth behind the incident.

After hearing all this, James said nothing and took a spiritual berry from the Celestial Abode. He then casually

tossed it on the table as payment for his meal.

He exited the restaurant, went to a grocery store in the city, and bought a detailed map of the Ancient Realm.

Once he walked out of the city, he looked intently at the map he was holding.

After determining his location, he discovered that it was quite far from the Welkin Academy. Even with his current

strength, it would take him about ten days to arrive if he traveled as quickly as he could.

“I hope the Welkin Academy is alright.”

James folded the map and hurried off.

For the following ten days or so, James traveled quickly.

The Welkin Academy was the most powerful academy in this realm. It was not any weaker than the Divinity Sect; in

fact, it was even more powerful.

Near the Welkin Academy was a city as well. Its name was Moonlit City.

James arrived in Moonlit City. However, the once–bustling city had become a ghost town. No one could be found in

the vast city.

Clip clop, clip clop.

The sound of footsteps came from a distance.

James, who was standing in the city, turned to look. In the distance, a cavalry was approaching. There were about

fifty cavalrymen, all warriors on horses and clad in armor.

The warriors charged toward James and surrounded him.

The general in the lead shouted coldly, “Who are you? What brought you to Moonlit City?”

James was well aware that Moonlit City was managed by the Welkin Academy. The cultivators of Moonlit City had

been evacuated, and only some warriors remained to patrol. This meant that Farley, the headmaster, and the

others had returned.

As a precaution against the Demon Race, they had evacuated everyone.

James was also aware that these were warriors of the Welkin Academy.

He took off his mask and revealed his face. Looking at the warriors, he said, “I’m James Caden, a disciple of Welkin

Academy’s Sect Elder Yoan Xenocrates. I’ve just escaped from the Divinity Sect.”

“James Caden?”

The warrior in the lead was slightly stunned. Clearly, he had heard of James. However, he had never seen him.
