Chapter 499 Three People Sharing a Bed
“What? Secret agents again?” Joey was baffled.
Even though she was the Inspector General, she had become the collector of cadavers.
“Got it. I’ll send my people over,” Joey replied. As the inspector general, she could not ignore
this matter.
“Thank you very much,” Sylvia said.
Willow and Zoey were extremely frightened to see the situation in the villa. Both of them left the hall
and only returned after the place was cleaned up.
As they had some free time on their hands while waiting for the scene to be cleared, Sylvia gave
Caspian a call to report everything that happened.
“Keep it short. I’m swamped right now,” Caspian said while directing an ongoing battle.
“Today, there were two groups of enemies that wanted to attack Willow. Fortunately, we managed to
interfere. But a dozen of our armored soldiers were seriously injured,” Sylvia said.
“What? What happened?” Caspian asked.
“On our way back to the villa, several secret agents ambushed us. Some of our men managed to block
Willow from getting shot. The second incident happened at the villa.
“Some of the secret agents managed to sneak into the villa. Right when they were about to ambush,
Macy noticed that something was off, and that was how we were able to avoid a tragedy.
“Macy led a few armored soldiers inside. After engaging in a life–and–death battle, several armored
soldiers got injured.” Sylvia gave a brief summary of the events that went down.
“Thankfully, everything went well. As long as Macy is fine. All of you, please be extra careful.
“Danger is lurking everywhere. We aren’t sure when the enemies will appear,” Caspian ordered. From
Sylvia’s account of the events, he could know how deadly the situation was then.
“We have to thank Macy. After annihilating the enemies, we discovered a time bomb hidden inside your
bedroom’s closet. Macy was the one to pick up on the faint beeping sound.
“She carried the bomb in her arms and rushed toward the riverside. She managed to throw the bomb

“She passed out upon impact, but she’s fine now,” Sylvia recounted. She could still feel some of the
lingering adrenaline from the events.
“I know. That’s why all of you have to be careful. Otherwise, your life may be in danger at any
When Caspian pictured Macy carrying the bomb, he felt extremely worried.
“Understood, Caspian. There’s another matter that’s really troublesome,” Sylvia continued.
“What is it?” Caspian asked.
“Your identity as the Diatoran God of War may have been discovered by Willow,” Sylvia said cautiously.
“Why would she know about it?” Caspian asked, puzzled.
“It’s all my fault. I had a slip of the tongue during those critical moments. That’s how Willow and Zoey
became suspicious.
“I’ll gladly accept the punishment. I’m truly sorry for having exposed your real identity,” Sylvia replied.
Caspian remained silent.
After a while, he said, “Forget it. She was bound to find out anyway. It doesn’t matter if she finds out
about it now,” Caspian said.
“I’ll let her know your real identity, then?” Sylvia asked, feeling relieved.
If she was allowed to tell Willow about it, she would no longer have to worry about letting it slip again.
“No, it’s better for me to tell her personally when I get back,” Caspian said.
“Got it, Caspian. But you have to hurry. We’re about to be exposed.
“The war is about to begin, Caspian. Are you planning to return to Southlake City?” she asked with
urgency.
to:
“Southlake City might be the first stop for the enemy to attack Diatoran. I must oversee this battle
myself!” Caspian said.
Hearing Caspian say this made Sylvia worried. Southlake City was in a state of disorder. Him returning
at this time was not a good choice.
“The situation in Southlake City is critical now, Caspian. I think it’s better for you to not come back now.
You’ll be safer in South Aridlands,” Sylvia said in an urgent tone.
“How could I be afraid of danger when I’m the Diatoran God of War? I need to lead the troops to battle.
I’m going back!” Caspian said with conviction.
“But a lot of spies are lurking in Southlake City now. They’ll definitely keep their eyes on you if you
come back! The situation will be too difficult to predict then,” Sylvia persuaded.

“Don’t worry, it won’t be easy to assassinate me. When I return, I’ll take the armored battalion with me.
There’s nothing you have to worry about. I’m busy. I’ll hang up the phone now,” Caspian said before
ending the call.
Sylvia knew that she would not be able to change Casplan’s mind.
Fortunately, Caspian would be bringing the armored battalion with him when he returned. That way,
Sylvia had nothing to worry about.
The armored soldiers were reliable.
Joey had brought the people from the Inspector General’s office to Riverside Villa to remove the
corpses from the villa.
Sylvia had the armored soldiers clean up the floors..
They reinstalled all of the broken windows.
In the evening, they received news from Avon saying that even though the armored soldiers. had been
seriously injured, their lives were not in danger.
Meanwhile, in Dhord City, the King ignored everyone’s dissuasion and was preparing to personally
oversee the war in the West Aridlands.
The war in West Aridlands was tense. The King must personally supervise the situation there
in order to boost morale.
The reason for West Aridlands‘ swift defeat was due to the generals having their own agenda. Dax was
also very distressed.
They were facing a powerful enemy, but West Aridlands was not united. Because of this, they were

If the enemies managed to find their way into Dhord City, the aftermath would be disastrous.
This was why the King had made the decision to head down to West Aridlands to oversee the war in
person.
As for South Aridlands, Caspian was there to oversee the war as the Diatoran God of War. The King
had nothing to worry about.
Moreover, the King had issued an order saying that if something were to happen to him in West
Aridlands, Caspian would be the one to succeed him!
As the king would be heading to West Aridlands, there was no one overseeing Dhord City. As a result,
Joseph was temporarily stationed in Dhord City.
He was to manage the matters related to Dhord City.
At Riverside Villa, Willow and Zoey were persuading Macy to stay the night with them.
“Macy, why don’t you stay the night and sleep with us? Zoey is very timid as well. We’re all a little
scared,” Willow requested.
“Yeah. I’m really timid. Please stay with us. We can have a chat,” Zoey said.
It was getting dark. Willow and Zoey were afraid of staying in the villa.
That was why they were pestering Macy to stay back with them at the villa.
“You can ask Sylvia too. Why must it be me?” Macy asked.
“Sylvia’s too busy. Also, I feel like she’s not the type to chat. Let’s not forget how amazingly skilled you
are. You make us feel very safe!” Willow said as she tried to stroke Macy’s ego so that she would stay
with them.
Macy felt so elated from the flattery that she covered her smile with her hand. The words of praise
made her feel giddy.
“Fine. I’ll reluctantly stay with you for the night,” Macy agreed with a smile on her face.
“We’re really thankful, Macy!” Willow said happily.
“No problem, you’re being too kind. This is part of my duty,” Macy replied. The God of War’s wife had
personally made a request. How could she refuse?
“What do you mean? Weren’t you just claiming that you’re t
