Chapter 558: The Suspicious Two
Venue Point Hotel, Trinity.
Lesia and Janet were waiting for Max and Elly but since it was taking time, the two went ahead and ordered whatever they wanted.
"It's taking them long?" Lesia muttered as she looked toward the entrance but there were no sight of the two coming at all.
"Should we send someone to call them?" She further asked while looking at Janet.
"No!" Janet almost screamed scaring Lesia up.
And when she looked at Janet with that surprise look on her face, Janet hurriedly explained, "I messaged them, they are coming.."
"I see," Lesia nodded while giving her an odd smile.
A few minutes later, the two awaited guest arrived.
Max was still wearing a blindfold and this time there were two more covering underneath it. He was going full on protection this time. He didn't want any disasters again and considering the ladies that he had around him currently this was really dangerous. Actually, even though he shouldn't be relieved about it. He still was a bit glad that it was Elly.
If not, then he would be committing seppuku in Axel's words.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtNo he was actually pretty sure he would have stopped himself and gouged his eyes out. But since it was Elly, he couldn't help but succumb not feeling that strong sense of rejection from her instead it was opposite. Not to mention their complicated relationship was also giving him a thumbs up.
"What happened to her?" Lesia couldn't help but ask when she saw Max supporting Elly with his one arm around her waist and the other holding one of her hand.
"She twisted her ankle," Max forced a smile on his face while Elly tried to maintain the calm on her face.
The two really were good at acting.
Janet looked at the two with squinted eyes, she was wondered if it was only just the ankle that had been twisted.
But Elly wasn't like that for sure. She had never given any guy a glance and Janet had never seen her and Max like that until this event.
Did she really misunderstand like Lear said? Or was there something else playing the role here?
When the Max and Elly sat, Elly's face twitched a bit but she held it back.
Janet's eyes were running all over the two and she immediately noticed a few things which caught her eyes.
Elly was oddly wearing a scarf. It didn't match her usual dressing style. She also noticed that the both seemed to have taken a bath not long ago, even though they tried to blow dry it, it still didn't escape her sharp eyes. And then the most important point was that the smell of the shampoo coming from their hairs were the same.
"You two smell the same? You are using the same shampoo?" 'Or were you two taking a bath together?' Obviously she didn't asked the later part and it was only said in her mind.
Max and Elly's face immediately changed colors for a bit before Elly replied, "I use the one provided by the room service."
"Yeah, I did too." Max immediately nodded after her.
"Hmmn?" Janet looked at the two before her fork stabbed into the piece of meat on her plate, "I thought you always brought your own personal stuff like that because you didn't like using the one's provided by such places, Elly?"
She was actually a bit pissed now. If those two were really in a relationship like that, why didn't they tell her? She would be the happiest one around with her brother and one of her best friends ending up together.
"I just tried using it this once," Elly replied while maintaining the look on her face.
"I used it as well but it has a different smell," Lesia butted into the conversation with the worst possible remark.
"I think it was different for your room," Max replied to her while sweating.
Even though Lesia seemed convinced, someone else wasn't.
Instead her suspicions only got stronger.
"Did you inform your grandfather that you are coming to this Hotel instead of going to you Aunt's house?" Janet suddenly asked as she looked at her.
Elly immediately froze.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmShe had indeed planned on calling her grandfather after talking to Max but then all that happened and she totally forgot about it. She looked at the time and realized it had already been an hour and half since they arrived here. She didn't even realize so much time had passed in that state.
She was sure that her grandfather might have already called her since she hadn't reached her Aunt's house yet.
Her phone!
She reached to check out her pocket but realized that it had been in the pocket of the dress which had came off in Max's room and she sprang up trying to go and get it.
But as soon as she did, a pain shot out and her legs gave. She began to lean forward falling towards the ground only to be caught into Max's arms.
The warmth of their bodies were still familiar on each other's skin and it seemed to give them a strange kind of comfort.
"Uhm!" Lesia coughed seeing that the two didn't have plans of letting go of each other any time soon.
And as soon as she did that, the two came to their senses.
Elly turned her face sideways a bit while Max placed her back on her chair, "You sit here, I will inform him."
With that, he pulled his transmitter out since he was missing his phone and informed Lorenz Lord about it.
Max had both the contacts of Elly and Lisa's grandfather. The two called him from time to time for reasons you could imagine. It was to ask about if everything was fine between them and giving Max advice on how to treat ladies. Advice from an old veteran was indeed something to be carefully noted down but wasn't that on battlefield filled with blood and not love. These people's time in the field of love had gone, he was really dumbfounded by their ways sometimes honestly.
But he could tell one thing that the two loved their granddaughter's to death. If he someday did something to hurt any of the two, they would probably come killing him. New ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄhapters are published on (f)ir(e).nᴇt
And after what had happened with Lisa and Elly it was evident that the two girls just needed to say a word in case Max refuse or something and he would have two existence at least at Supreme Tier looking for him to kill without any rules to care for and any consequences to fear.
