times against your will and succeeded every time. Do you not feel anything? If you didn’t,
I wouldn’t have succeeded so easily.”
“So? It’s just a normal physiological response.”
“No.” Elias purposely leaned closer, looking at her delicate face. “You feel something,
deeply. You just don’t want to admit it.”
“If meaningless questions are all you want to ask, keep them to yourself. I don’t want to
answer any of it.” It wasn’t that Amanda didn’t want to answer the questions but that she
couldn’t face her heart, let alone speak the truth.
“Answer me, Amanda. Do you still love me?” Elias asked while drawing her chin toward his
face.
He knew Amanda loved him deeply in the past, but now, he wasn’t sure anymore.
