She pushed open the conference room door.

With sunglasses on and a chilly expression, Joyce couldn’t help herself before getting into her car,

Joyce felt like she was being treated like a child, puffing up her cheeks, “I was avenging William. He’s

Brittany couldn’t help but chuckle.
Joyce’s face turned crimson, “What’s so funny?”
As if Brittany had any right to dump William.
“Joyce, William and I are ancient history. We parted.amicably.”
Brittany could tell Joyce wasn’t a bad sort, more like a spoiled darling, intent on sticking up for William.
She stepped forward, her eyes shimmering, “I’ve seen your TV shows, Joyce. You’re quite the talent-
both in looks and skill. I hope to enjoy more of your work in the future.”
Flattered, Joyce’s lips curled up involuntarily, but her pride wrestled with accepting praise from Brittany.
“Don’t think I’ll like you just because you complimented me!”

While not a fan of Brittany’s, what kind of star would she be if she didn’t oblige a fan?
Brittany found Joyce even more endearing. With their eyes met, Brittany’s gaze seemed like a tranquil
pool, creating a tingling sensation in Joyce’s heart.

With that, Brittany strode away.
