Chapter 125 Cameron at the Restaurant After class, Mia was all about dragging Allison out for a late-night snack. It was Friday, no classes tomorrow, so Allison finally caved in.

As they strolled out of the school gate, Allison spotted Alexander chilling by his car, puffing on a cigarette. He had on a white shirt, no tie, black pants, and one button undone. The way he squinted at her? Kinda hot. "Hey, Alexander, we're heading to Kismet for slate-night munchies. Can you give us a lift?" Mia asked.

Alexander raised an eyebrow, about to say something, but Allison snatched the cigarette from his hand, put it out, and tossed it in the trash.

"Smoking's bad for you, Mr. Carter!" Allison said with a grin.

Alexander messed up her hair and smiled, "Rough day, needed a smoke. I don't usually do it. Now, let's get that snack. Hop in!" Allison was curious about what was bugging Alexander, but he didn't spill and just got in the car.

Mia yanked Allison into the back seat, and Alexander drove to the alley near Serenity Manor. When they got there, Hunter and Declan were already hanging out.

"I told them to come. You wouldn't believe it; Hunter's been here every day trying to get Kismet to take him on as a culinary student!" Mia explained.

Allison raised an eyebrow, checking out Hunter in his casual getup. He looked more like a delivery guy than a noble.

Hunter inherited the best features from his parents. His striking looks made women envious, especially his long eyelashes, which always made Mia jealous.

"Hey, Ms. Bennett, Alexander, Mia!" Hunter greeted as he got out of the car, and Mia quickly dragged him into the alley.

Allison walked alongside Alexander, with Declan and Landon trailing behind.

"Landon, you recognize that car?" Declan asked, glancing back.

Landon looked over and quickly turned back. "Nope, don't know it. Must've followed Alexander's car. I'll call James." They reached the restaurant, which wasn't open yet, so they headed to the back door.

Preston had trashed the place before, so Allison had it renovated. In just half a month, the restaurant was looking brand new. The Carter Group sure knew how to get things done.

"Allison, let's go help in the kitchen!" Mia pulled Allison towards the kitchen, usually off-limits to outsiders.

Seeing Allison, Kismet greeted her with a smile. "Ms. Bennett, you're here!" Allison nodded, put on an apron, and started learning to cook with Kismet.

Hunter was in the kitchen too, chopping ingredients with sserious knife skills, much to Kismet's delight. "Kismet, thought about taking him on as a student?" Allison asked.

Mia stood nearby, looking all nervous, hoping Kismet wouldn't say no.

"Hunter's way too good-looking to be a chef! I heard his family's wealthy; I'm curious if he can handle the hard work. Ms. Bennett, our line of work is no joke, and not many can stick it out. I beca chef out of necessity. You wouldn't believe how tough my dad was onwhen I was a kid," Kismet said.

"Kismet, Hunter's not afraid of hard work. He might look like he doesn't do much, but he was cooking forwhen he was just five. While other kids were off on summer vacations, he was in the countryside learning to fish from his grandpa. He even cleaned fish!" Mia said, leaving Allison in shock.

The thought of Hunter cleaning fish made Allison burst out laughing.

Kismet chuckled too, and Mia quickly shared more of Hunter's embarrassing stories.

"That was two summers ago. They needed to catch and clean fish at their cabin, so I went with them. The fish was still flopping around, but Hunter stepped in and cleaned it like a pro. It was impressive!" Mia recalled. Kismet laughed, and Hunter, who had cover to grab something, saw them laughing and greeted them.

"Kismet, Allison, Mia, I'm heading to the back to get sspices. We're running low on a few," Hunter said, turning to head to the storage room when Kismet stopped him.

"I'll go with you!" Kismet said, leading the way with Hunter following.

Allison pulled Mia to help tidy up the dining area. The renovation had doubled the space, now fitting over ten tables.

"Allison, let them handle this. You should take your friends to the backyard to chill," Xavier said, trying to keep Allison from working, but she refused.

"Xavier, I've had a long day at school. This is my way to unwind. Don't worry about us; we're about to open for business!" Allison said.

Seeing Allison insist, Xavier didn't argue further and went to open the doors with his team.

He found a seat, coincidentally near Alexander and Declan.

Declan and Landon exchanged a glance and both got up, sitting next to Cameron.

"You look new here. Where are you from?" Declan asked, his eyes probing.

Cameron sat there, looking like a simple and innocent boy. However, Declan noticed the gint of hostility in his eyes, a clear sign that he was concealing his true nature. Having been in the business world for years, Declan could see through Cameron in front of him.

Cameron examined the two men before him and said, "I don't know you." Cameron's tone was polite, showing his good upbringing.

"Talk a few times and we'll get to know each other. You know what I mean?" Declan said casually.

Cameron frowned. "But I don't want to get familiar with you. Besides, someone like you probably isn'tm qualified to sit at the stable as me. How about letting Mr. Carter talk toinstead?" Growing up in a well-known mob family, Cameron indeed had a bit of a gangster vibe. "You look down on me, don't you?" Declan fumed.

Cameron smiled politely and said, "At er not to get angry.
