Chapter 823
Leopold should be the most feared person if the phone exploded and caused the accident, right?.
Especially when he was the victim injured by the explosion and undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Thalassa couldn’t understand why this had anything to do with Leopold.
Armed with the information Ethan had provided her, Thalassa headed to Leossa Electronics for an inspection.
During the phone’s production period, Thalassa had visited the electronics factory a few times to observe the
machines that manufactured the phones and the process the workers followed. Everything seemed normal; there
were no signs of abnormalities. But despite these normal circumstances, the phones that were produced had
issues. Thalassa was yet to understand where the problem lay.
Meanwhile, in the CEO’s office of the Sinclair group.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLysander and Leopold were seated on the couch, with David standing behind Lysander, at full attention, ready for
anything. Leopold had his arm bandaged and slung over his neck. His amber eyes, clear yet stern, were fixed on
Lysander.
“The Sinclair group’s electronic factory produced faulty products and caused the explosion, which is obvious. Why
am I being blamed?” Leopold asked indignantly as he glared at Lysander.
With a poker face, Lysander took a sip from his teacup and replied, “If you admit it now, I can still cover for you.
Making mistakes is not a big deal, but acknowledging them is. If you insist that you’re not involved and try to smear
the Sinclair group, I can’t help you.”
Leopold clenched his fists and seethed his teeth so harshly. His cheeks trembled slightly as he retorted, “I don’t
need your help, because this has nothing to do with me! Your lack of supervision led to this major incident; you
should take full responsibility! I remember there’s a rule for the Sinclair group’s successors. If there’s a human
casualty under the current leader’s management, a new successor must be chosen! Lysander, are you trying to
evade this responsibility?”
Leopold’s tone was firm, his eyes cold as he spoke to Lysander.
Lysander raised an eyebrow at Leopold. It seemed that Leopold’s target was the Sinclair group, he thought.
Setting down his cup, Lysander stared at Leopold with his deep-set eyes, “Do you think you’re capable of taking
over the Sinclair group?” “I’m also a Sinclair!” Leopold shot back fiercely, his fists balled up and his cheeks twitching
with agitation.
“You’re indeed a Sinclair,” Lysander replied, “but you should be taking over your father’s company, not the Sinclair
group.”
“My father’s company is also under the Sinclair group,” Leopold pointed out.
“So, these years, it’s the Sinclair group that has been supporting your father and your grandfather. If you take over

Leopold’s grandfather and Lysander’s father were brothers. Back in the day, Zephyr had handed the Sinclair group
to Lysander’s father because of his outstanding abilities, his calm demeanor, and his strong business acumen.
Leopold’s grandfather, on the other hand, was irresponsible and a lover of high life, a typical playboy.
He was not suitable to run the Sinclair group. Later on, he started a family and had a son who perfectly inherited his
irresponsibility. If it weren’t for the Sinclair group giving them companies to run and supporting them when they
made losses, they would’ve been destitute and become nobodies long ago.
Leopold was different from them in character, but he also didn’t have a high business acumen. Although he had
founded Leossa Tech, his capabilities were far from enough to run a massive conglomerate like the Sinclair group.
Lysander’s words made Leopold’s temples throb. As much as they stung, he knew Lysander was speaking the truth.
But he wouldn’t accept it. His teeth were clenched tight, his breathing heavy, and his body taut with tension.
“Do you think that by getting the Sinclair group, you’ll also get Thalassa?” Lysander asked, his gaze deep and
mysterious as he looked at Leopold.
