Chapter 1215
Hertha paused for a second before asking curiously, “How on earth did Lysander find out you were with
me when we saw Spencer? Didn’t you take the afternoon off to go with me? Has he got some kind of
radar on you?”
“Nah, I doubt it. That tracking necklace he gave me last Christmas has been turned into scrap metal.
I’ve checked around and there’s nothing that could be containing a tracker,” Thalassa replied while
rummaging through her stuff.
“It must be Alaric Falconer ratting us out to Lysander!” Hertha’s thoughts quickly turned dark, and her
anger flared up.
“Who knows,” Thalassa admitted, having harbored the same suspicion.
“It’s definitely that jerk. I’m gonna give him a piece of my mind!” Hertha fumed, gritting her teeth, then
abruptly ended the call, all fired up and ready for a showdown.

late.
Well, let Hertha and Alaric sort out their own mess.
Thalassa slung her backpack over her shoulder and stepped out of the Crawley Group building.
Reaching the curb, she was about to head across the street to wait at the bus stop when a sleek black
BMW pulled up alongside her. She stepped aside, thinking she was in the way, but the car crept along
with her instead.
Stopping in her tracks, Thalassa looked at the BMW with a mix of curiosity and caution
The back window rolled down to reveal a man’s face. He had a kind and approachable look, his genteel
charm was both soothing and inviting.
“Callum!” Thalassa gasped in surprise. She had thought someone was deliberately blocking her path,
but the last thing she expected was to see Callum, whom she hadn’t seen in ages.
The last encounter had been a brief one at the entrance of a golf club, right before he was swarmed by
reporters asking about the Crest Summit Hotel scandal.
And now, they crossed paths again half a month later.
Callum’s handsome face was adorned with a gentle smile as he warmly said to Thalassa, “Long time
no see. I’ve actually been looking for you.”
Thalassa was taken aback. She pointed at herself in disbelief, “Looking for me? Why?”
Since the last time Callum had helped her escape, only to be caught by Lysander, the two hadn’t
discussed running away again.

She figured they had both silently agreed to drop the matter.
Beyond their shared goal of escape, it seemed there wasn’t much else for her and Callum to talk about
or connect over.
“Get in the car and let’s talk over dinner. You standing here is going to cause a traffic jam,” Callum
stated, always the one to make his intentions crystal clear, helping others to quickly grasp his meaning.

Unlike Lysander, who was always sparing with his words, his brevity forcing others to guess his
intentions.
Communications with Lysander always left Thalassa feeling drained. He was never explicit, and she
couldn’t always decipher his thoughts.
In contrast, whether about trivial matters or serious ones, talking with Callum was straightforward. He
laid out his reasons and explanations clearly, making communication
a breeze.
After a moment’s hesitation, Thalassa reasoned that if Callum had something to discuss, and the
roadside was indeed no place for it. So she climbed into the car.
Settling into the back seat, she noticed a cane resting beside Callum’s leg and asked with concern,
“How’s your leg? Is it any better?”
“Much better, thanks. Just got the cast off today. I should be back to normal in a few weeks,” Callum
replied with a grin.
Thalassa’s gaze dropped. She apologized with regret, “I’m sorry. It’s my fault you got hurt.”
