Leon's bones burned with power as he pushed himself to move faster and faster. His body was as light as a feather through the wind, allowing him to effortlessly move from one position to another. A flurry of spells of different elements blazed around him. Fire, water, wind, earth, darkness, and gravity. His eyes flashed with purple light intermittently, dousing his opponents in the weakening glow of his Curse Eyes skill.

ROOOARR!!!

A particularly large monster roared as it jumped up at Leon. Its jaws resembled an abyss of fire as it reached up for him, but Leon did not flinch. He spun around, conjuring an ice whip with a wicked edge.

Swish!

The flexible blade of the whip struck out, slicing off the lower jaw of the monster, and letting its mouth fall open with a cascade of blood. A pained roar rang out from the beast's maw, but Leon remained unmoved. The weight of his body did a complete reversal and he dropped from the sky like a giant rock. The soles of his feet smashed into the skull of the giant monster, turning its brain into a barely recognizable mush.

He spun around, and his spear conjured a wave of air that sliced into the scales of the monsters in the immediate vicinity. Blood began to run out of their wounds, but that bright red blood soon began to turn murky and darken as it was infected by a curse spell.

In mere moments, the powerful B rank monsters' eyes had turned a shade of red, and they began to lose their sense of reasoning. Instead of attacking Leon, they turned to attack their kin, biting into their necks and unleashing a wave of horrible fire onto themselves. Some even turned directly on their own bodies, biting out chunks of their flesh and spraying fire into their injuries. It was as bloody as could be.

An insane amount of carnage was taking place on the battlefield as Leon tore through the monsters. Not only himself, but also his elite summons. They all performed exceptionally. Even the C ran summons. Those that had been on the cusp of ranking up did so, reaching B rank where their original powers underwent a metamorphosis.

The yet to be renamed spider queen, the humans that had fallen to Leon, and many more summons underwent changes as they broke through to B rank.

Notifications blinked all around Leon, both kill and level up notifications. Whether they belonged to him or his summons, he did not care. Instead, he allowed himself to be immersed in this haze of death that somehow seemed to resonate with his being.

To the Gods that were watching this brutal scene, they could see a haze of darkness surrounding Leon's core. With each death that was claimed on his behalf, it grew stronger, thicker, denser, slowly sinking into his core.

Michael watched this with a crazed glint in his eyes. He could see the fruit of his labors maturing. He could see that indeed, his trip to a lesser world was not in vain. Leon would not disappoint. He indeed had the potential to become what was expected of him.

p Fazir watched with a calm smile tugging the corner of his lips. He had only put in minimal effort, but it was bearing gains. He was the one who had opened the pathway for Leon's soul to be pulled to his world. It had been tiring, but it was worth it.

HUMMM!

A silent, but deafening hum suddenly spread out through the battlefield. A dome of black, malevolent energy burst out with Leon as the core of it, spreading out wide until it encompassed the entire battlefield. A chilling feeling seeped into the hearts of the monsters still alive, but the command of the Tower of Trials that had been ingrained into their very souls did not allow them to flee in fear. Instead, they pushed forward with a greater frenzy.

At the back of the wave of monsters, one of the weaker raptors suddenly felt something clutch its leg. It turned around with a mouthful of fire, ready to burn its attacker into nothing, but just as it turned around, a lance of darkness stabbed up into its head, tearing through its hardy scales and sturdy skull as if they were just paper.

The lance rose up from the spot of black that was beginning to spread. The brown earth began to turn black, spreading out like a wet stain on the ground. As the lance rose up, a pitch black hand was revealed, and before long, another body rose. Beside that being, another similar one rose from the earth, and another, and another. In just a few moments, dozens of pitch black beings that oozed terrifying auras had appeared from the ground, with their eyes glowing in an ominous purple light.

Although the number of beings that had appeared only amounted to ten in number, the amount of power that they radiated was absolutely wretched. A heart palpitating aura leaked from their beings, making all the nearby monsters freeze in fear. They felt as though Death itself was looking over their shoulders, peering into the depths of their souls.

Long, spindly arms reached out from the spreading darkness, holding down the remaining monsters. The ten beings that had appeared all brandished their weapons. Lights of different colors shone against the reptilian monsters, and fountains of blood bloomed into the air.

An unstoppable, indomitable force tore through the back ranks of the monsters, while another force led by Leon and his elite summons washed over the front ranks of the monsters. All of a sudden, the monsters that seemed to have the upper hand in the battle were being overwhelmed. Screeches and howls of pain echoed out, ringing against the cliffs and rocks that surrounded the boss area.

The hidden people that were witnessing this sight all felt chills run down their back. They began to doubt that this person was even supposed to be a B rank being. How could one person wield so much power?!
