you pulling my leg again?”
Victor looked serious as he said, “I’m not joking. The top spot is for the most talented. Besides you and
Lauren, everyone else in the design team has been working for at least five years. As a jewelry
designer, if they haven’t made any significant achievements in five years, they’re not cut out for this
job.”
Anastasia found Victor’s analysis reasonable.
“Then why me? I only have a high school diploma, and I haven’t been here very long. Lauren is also
very capable. I think she’d be a better
fit.”
Victor looked at Anastasia and smiled. “Don’t you have any confidence in yourself? Lauren is from
