Chapter 516 You Psycho
Cayden drove at a breakneck speed, which made Nicole feel like throwing up. Nonetheless, she forced herself to
put up with it as she wanted to maintain her image.
In truth, he was not intentionally driving so fast, but because he really did not want to spend even a second longer
than necessary with her. All he wanted was to send her home as quickly as possible.
“Cay... Cayden, could you slow down a little? I'm feeling a little carsick...” she finally said, unable to bear the
terrifying speed anymore. It was even more frightening than being in a racecar, and she was scared out of her wits.
“I like driving at this speed,” he answered impassively.
She could not help feeling increasingly aggrieved, but the thought that it was what he liked made her swallow her
displeasure.
Ignoring her dizziness and gripping the seatbelt tightly, she ventured cautiously, “Our relationship will be official
once we're engaged. How about getting our marriage certificate first? We can wait until after that to have the
wedding ceremony. What do you think?”
No sooner had she said that than Cayden sent the car drifting sideways. The car seemed to float, then swung
around sharply in a hundred-and-eighty-degree turn. It gave Nicole such a shock that she shrieked in fear.
There may not be much traffic on the highway now, but there are still quite a number of other cars! Isn't he afraid
someone will take a video of his reckless driving? Also, what if we get into an accident? He finally agreed to marry
me not too long ago, so I've no wish to die now.
“We'll discuss that after the engagement. Why the rush?” he replied, his brows fixed in a frown.
His reply left her disgruntled. Recalling Cayden's and Avery's grand engagement, she hoped she could have a lavish
wedding too.
I thought I'd get to become his lawful wife after obtaining our marriage certificate. However, it's clear he's not
happy about that. But, so what? I'll invite all the major media outlets to attend our wedding banquet. That way, not

felt much more at ease.
“Let's go with whatever you want, then. After the engagement party, we'll be moving in together. My mom said that
living together will deepen our bond—”
Suddenly, Cayden slammed on the brakes.
Even though she had her seatbelt on, she still fell heavily against the back of the chair. She broke out into cold
sweat immediately due to the pain.
With a face as black as thunder, Cayden began smoking away on a cigarette irritably. “You're very noisy and
annoying, do you know that?”
She fell silent at once. After a while, she could not refrain from saying, “I'm sorry. I was just too excited because it's
getting close to the engagement—”
Here, he floored the accelerator without bothering to wait until she had calmed down, and the car shot forward
again.
Her grip around her seatbelt became even tighter than before, and she could not help thinking that his
temperament was overly mercurial. Nonetheless, despite feeling intimidated, his volatile side made her even more
infatuated with him.
When she arrived at the Lambert residence, her parents were not back yet as they were still busy with a social
engagement. Meanwhile, Polly and the other housekeepers were cleaning the mansion.
Polly removed her mask upon seeing Nicole and said, “Ms. Lambert, we're spring cleaning today. If you could unlock
the door to your room, I'll help you clean it.”
Nicole was very particular about her privacy, so there was only one key to her room. Not even Claire had a key, let
alone Polly.
“Okay.” As Nicole unlocked the door, she reminded the housekeeper sternly, “Make sure you don't move my things.
I don't like others touching my stuff. Remember, you—”
Her expression turned into one of horror mid-sentence. She opened the door ever so slightly before slamming it
shut behind her, her whole body trembling uncontrollably.
Polly was startled by the sound of the door closing with a loud bang, and she hammered on the bedroom door.
“What's the matter, Ms. Lambert? What happened?”
“N-Nothing. I'm just feeling a little dizzy and want to get some rest. Why don't you clean the other bedrooms first?”
Nicole lied while forcing herself to calm down.
“Okay. Call me if you need me. I'll just be here. If you're really unwell, I can call Mrs. Lambert,” Polly replied, not
suspecting anything.
Meanwhile, Nicole was drenched in cold sweat as she stared at the huge photos on her bedroom wall.
She vividly remembered hanging Epean art and artistic photos of herself on the walls. However, they had all
mysteriously disappeared and were now replaced with pictures of her naked. There were even some of her with a
man.
The blown-up images were extremely sharp and clear. Even Nicole's private parts were plainly visible, making it
impossible to look at the photos directly.
In the photos, the woman's gaze was seductive and lustful. As for the man, he had a wild and devilish look in his
eyes, and he was none other than Roderick!
That monster! He has lost his mind!
She ripped the offensive photos from the walls, hurled them onto the floor, and tore them into a million pieces in a
frenzy of rage.
Then, with trembling hands, she lit the torn pieces on fire with a lighter and burned them to ashes.
However, that was still not enough to subdue her anger. An even stronger sense of panic began rising inside her as
she wondered how Roderick had gotten those photos into her room.

cameras around the house, but we also have the top home security system. Despite all that, he still managed to
sneak in without anyone noticing! Just the thought of it is terrifying. What on earth is he planning to do? Is it
because of that time when I disobeyed his instructions to let him have his way with him and found him a few young
models instead, so this is his way of getting back at me and issuing a warning?
Suddenly, Polly knocked on the door again. “Are you all right, Ms. Lambert? Why do I smell smoke coming from your
room? Are you burning something?”
“Polly, were you at home all day? Did anyone come into my room? Was it you?” Nicole asked, starting to have a
meltdown.
“No. I've been in all day, and there were no visitors. Isn't your room always locked? I don't have a key, so how could
I have entered your room?” Polly replied in a puzzled tone.
That made Nicole even more fearful.
Just then, her phone started ringing.
She started when she saw that Roderick was calling her, then answered the call angrily. “What do you think you're
doing, Roderick?”
On the other end of the line, he said in a cold, cruel voice, “Babe, do you like the engagement present I prepared
for you?”
She shuddered. “You psycho! Why don't you just go to h*ll?”
“Nickie, what am I lacking that you would rather choose to marry Cayden instead? I'll forget about how you
previously toyed with me for now. But if you dare to trick me again, I don't mind letting everyone see what you look
like in bed. I miss you. I miss your body. Let's meet at our usual spot. I'm in suite A6666 now. You have half an hour.
I'll be waiting!” Although his voice sounded friendly, it sent chills down her spine.
She flung aside her phone. Her face contorted with rage, and her fingers trembled violently. I'm now the center of
attention in the media, and my engagement with Cayden is just around the corner. If reporters happen to snap a
compromising photo of me, the consequences will be unimaginable. Oh, Lord! How am I supposed to get rid of that
b*stard?
