Chapter 566 Avery Could Not Believe Her Ears
Jacob remained silent, but the tension in his expression was evident. A vein protruded on his forehead, indicating his
anger.
He dragged her into the depths of the woods.
Stephanie was exhausted. She wanted to suggest taking a break but dared not do so upon noticing the man's
displeasure. Left with no choice, she had to stagger along behind him.
Suddenly, the man pinned her onto a thick trunk belonging to an old tree. Stephanie immediately screamed in
terror, “Ah! Let me go! What are you doing?”
Rage ran red through Jacob's brain as he leaned down to devour Stephanie's lips in a possessive kiss without
allowing her to shy away.
“Jacob, you... Mm, it hurts!” Stephanie struggled to free herself. She looked scared, and her eyes began to well up
with tears.
However, Jacob ignored her reaction and continued kissing her in an overbearing manner. He bit her lips so hard
that they started bleeding.
Humiliation and pain flashed across Stephanie's eyes as tears streamed down her cheeks in silence.
She had given up on struggling to free herself and appeared helpless, which only added to Jacob's anger.
He gripped her chin with a crushing force as his eyes turned red. “Look at you, acting all pitiful. You look gorgeous
even when you're sobbing, huh? Stephanie, why were you sobbing back at Turquoise Falls? Do you still miss him?
Don't tell me you never forgot about him. You've been with me for some time. How dare you still think about him?”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtStephanie was forced to meet his gaze.
Her lashes were wet with tears, and she could barely stand on her feet. “No, I don't miss him. The scenery
reminded me of our past, that's all. I'm sorry, I won't do that again. Can you p-please let me go...”
“Stop lying to me! We've slept in the same bed for some time, but you often fall into a daze or cry silently. You even
called that man's name back at Turquoise Falls! Do you think I'm deaf and couldn't hear your mutters? Stephanie,
you love him so much that you can't forget him, huh?” Jealousy tainted Jacob's eyes a vicious red.
“He is gone, and I don't know where he is...” Tears streamed down Stephanie's cheeks, and she seemed to be in
pain. “I'm already pregnant with your child. What else do you want, Jacob?”
“I won't allow you to think about other men. If I find out that you repeat the same mistake, I'll definitely kill him!”
Jacob's gaze shone like a vicious wolf as he gripped Stephanie's shoulders with such force that she felt her bones
were about to get crushed.
Stephanie paled as tears continued streaming down her cheeks uncontrollably.
She sobbed sorrowfully, her shoulders trembling profusely. Her pitiful state was enough to evoke sympathy from
anyone who saw her.
Nevertheless, Jacob's fury merely heightened when he saw her crying nonstop.
Is she crying for the man? Has she always loved him all this while?
The truth went through his heart like a sharp knife, making him feel like he had been kicked in the gut. He wanted
nothing more than to strangle her to death.
Turning her around, he took off her pants and began torturing her. “Remember. I'm your only man!”
Stephanie sobbed pitifully. She was born a conservative woman, so being forced to have sex in the open made her
feel extremely humiliated.
The fear of getting caught by others, the humiliation of being forced to have sex with someone she didn't love, and
the helplessness she felt made her cry so hard that she could barely catch her breath.
Pain started flaring in her stomach, causing her to furrow her brows in anguish.
However, she clenched her jaw so she wouldn't moan out loud.
Jacob was overtaken by jealousy and purposely refused to look at Stephanie's dejected face, so he didn't notice her
oddness.
It wasn't until Stephanie fainted from the pain and blood began trickling out of her vagina and down her legs that
Jacob retreated from her body in fear.
“Stephanie!” he screamed her name hoarsely upon regaining his senses.
Picking her up, he ran all the way back to their accommodation.
After helping Avery massage her legs, Cayden told her to soak in the water for a moment. He remembered all the
precautions that pregnant ladies should take that Yuvan told him.
Pregnant ladies shouldn't soak in cold water for too long.
Thus, he helped her wipe the water away and put on her shoes for her meticulously before leading her away
carefully.
The mountain path was winding and uneven, so Cayden ended up carrying Avery back in his arms.
Thus, all the tourists saw a tall and handsome man walking down the winding path by the stream slowly with a

Even so, he was able to walk in a composed manner as though the woman in his arms weighed as much as a little
doll.
The woman in his arms had wrapped her arms around his neck and would talk to him occasionally.
The man listened to her patiently, his adoration for her evident. His sexy lips would sometimes curl into a smile, and
he didn't seem impatient or tired at all.
Noticing some tourists were staring at them, Avery felt her cheeks turning pink. She buried her face into Cayden's
chest, feeling shy at being the center of attention.
“What a loving couple. Ah, the perks of being young,” an elderly couple commented.
“Darling, look how the husband adores his wife. He couldn't even bear to let her walk! A handsome and thoughtful
husband like him is a fine specimen! I don't care. You must carry me!” a young girl whined, wanting her boyfriend to
carry her in his arms just like how Cayden was carrying Avery.
“His wife is pregnant and too tired to walk, so he has to carry her. If you marry me and get pregnant, I will also
carry you this way!” her boyfriend replied. Despite that, he obediently carried her in his arms.
There were also some foreign tourists talking in foreign languages who gave Cayden the thumbs-up.
Everyone was beaming at them kindly, offering the gorgeous couple their well wishes.
Throughout the way, Avery buried her face in Cayden's chest.
Cayden initially planned on bringing Avery elsewhere to have fun, but he soon received a phone call that made his
expression turn dark.
“We need to hurry back. Something bad has happened,” he said solemnly.
“Why? Is it Zach and Rory?” Avery's heart sank as her children popped up in her mind.
“Stephanie had a miscarriage.”
Avery gaped in disbelief. She couldn't believe her ears.
When I left earlier, Stephanie was still okay. Why did she have a miscarriage suddenly?
