Annie quickly explained, "It's not like that. I didn't do anything to Noelle. Last twas my fault. I just ran into her by chance and had a brief conversation. She said she wouldn't hold a grudge." Annie bit her lip and gripped the stair railing. "Did something happen? I really didn't do anything to Noelle!" "Alright, I got it," Cody said, waving his hand dismissively. "I need to go out for a bit. If Mom and Dad ask, just tell them I went out for business." Then, Cody went upstairs, changed his clothes, and headed straight to Collosus Group's headquarters.
Meanwhile, Noelle answered all of Brian's questions thoroughly during the interview. In the end, Brian told her to wait for further notice and did not ask anything about her background.
As soon as Noelle left Brian's office, Charles called her. Noelle looked around before answering, "What's up?" "Finished with the interview?" Charles' clear voice had a hint of amusement. "Hmm?" "Yeah, just finished. Did you have someone watch me?" she asked, suspecting he had been monitoring her since he called as soon as she stepped out.
Charles chuckled. "Cup here." "No!" Noelle refused immediately. "I'm going back home." "Be good. You don't have anything to do at hanyway. Cup. I have something nice to show you," Charles coaxed gently.
Thinking there was not much to do at home, Noelle decided to go to Charles' office. Worried about being seen, she first went to Charles' private underground parking lot before taking the elevator up.
Ronald had been waiting at the elevator door for quite stWhen Re finally saw Noelle, he hurried to her. "Mrs. Hoffman why did you take so long?" "You were waiting for me?" Noelle asked, looking at Ronald suspiciously. She felt a bit embarrassed. "I was worried about being seen, so I took a detour and almost got lost!" After she explained herself, she continued, "Stop callingMrs. Hoffman. You can just callNoelle." "Yes, yes. Of course." Ronald then led Noelle to Charles' office door. He knocked, and after hearing a "Cin," he respectfully opened the door for Noelle.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThis was Noelle's first real visit to Charles' office. The space was minimalist and grand, with a very open view. She entered quietly and closed the door behind her Charles had already looked up. Seeing Noelle, he beckoned her over. "Chere." Noelle raised an eyebrow. "No. You continue working. I'll just look around." She surveyed Charles' office, genuinely ignoring him as she leisurely examined the space in detail.
Charles shook his head at Noelle's behavior. Realizing he still had work to do, he resumed his tasks.
After a short while, Noelle finished exploring. Not wanting to disturb Charles as he worked, she sat in the lounge area, picking up a magazine to read.
Finding the magazine dull after a while, Noelle rested her chin on her hand and watched Charles at work.
Noelle had always known Charles was very handsome, the kind of man one could not take their eyes off once they started looking.
She had seen him work at home, where he exuded warmth. However, in the office, he appeared much more serious.
Ronald brought Noelle inside. "Mr. Parker, this is Ms. Shaw. She's here for the interview!" Ronald introduced Noelle, gesturing toward her.
Noelle met Brian's gaze and gave a slight nod. "Hello, Mr. Parker. I'm Noelle." Noelle's demeanor was very composed and confident, showing no signs of nervousness.
Brian's gaze lingered on Noelle only briefly before turning to Ronald.
Ronald immediately understood. "I have matters to attend upstairs. I'll leave the interview to you, Mr. Parker." After Ronald left, Brian took a proper look at Noelle, and then motioned for her to sit.
Brian pulled out her resfrom the drawer. This reshad been given to him by Ronald just the previous night, mentioning it was for someone he recommended. Known for his impartiality, Brian would not grant favors lightly.
Though Brian had not known Ronald for long, he had a good sense of Ronald's character. Being Charles' right- hand man indicated Ronald's competence and integrity.
Initially, Brian was not particularly interested in meeting Noelle, but Ronald's insistence that he would regret not seeing her piqued his curiosity.
Brian reviewed Noelle's resume. It was not particularly impressive, and her work experience was rather unremarkable. However, the fact that she had managed a significant project caught his interest, suggesting she had scapability.

This impressed Brian. "Ms. Noelle Shaw?" "Yes. Noelle," Noelle confirmed with a nod.
Brian nodded as well, closing her resume. "I've reviewed your resume, Ms. Shaw. To be honest, your work experience is fairly ordinary. However, I'm curious about a particular project you handled. Can you tellmore about it?" Meanwhile, Ronald went straight to Charles' office after leaving the project department. "Mr. Hoffman, I've brought Mrs. Hoffman over. Brian should be interviewing her right now. What do you think?" Charles glanced at Ronald but continued working. He finally paused. Furrowing his brows slightly, he put down his pen. "Yout Now, don't need to worry about her. about this document-explain why Frotconn's orders increased suddenly last month. Whose idea was that?"
"That..... was Sir Hoffman's idea!" Ronald admitted, slightlym embarrassed approached Sir Hoffman about it. I only found out about it recently. Sir Hoffman must have kept it from us." Charles laughed coldly, closing the file. "It seems Joseph doesn't takeseriously." He stood up abruptly. "Get Cody here." "Mr. Hoffman, what do you need Cody for?" Ronald asked, puzzled by Charles' intentions.
A sharp look from Charles silenced Ronald's questions, and he quickly responded, "I'll call Cody immediately."
Meanwhile, Cody received Ronald's call with curiosity, recalling Charles' previous promise to spare Adams Corp. He wondered why he was suddenly summoned.
Coincidentally, Cody was hstairs. her, m resting and saw Annie coming downstairs. He called out to "Mom said you met Noelle yesterday?" Annie's heart skipped a beat. "Yes. Is there a problem?" "I told you not to provoke her," Cody said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Did you ignore my warning?"
