Chapter 700: Unleashing His Wrath
Ren Baqian felt helpless as he sat in the submarine. Why was it so hard for him to do something about the current situation?
With great difficulty, he had finally made up his mind to wreak havoc in the other party’s base, but unfortunately, the submarine ran into another problem.
He really ought to dissect that bichi and see what it was made of. If the research turned out to be successful, he reckoned that he could probably create a weapon that could manipulate the future.
This level of misfortune made it seem like those people were jinxed.
Ren Baqian felt that the effects were much stronger compared to the previous time he saw it.
After the last time he saw the bichi, he was caught in an earthquake, his house collapsed, he got caught in an ambush, and someone tried to assassinate him… However, those mishaps hadn’t happen with the frequency of the current accidents.
Those people fell into a pit while driving, their speed boat crashed into a shark, and now, the submarine collided into a fishing boat. Being plagued with misfortune was an understatement when describing their journey so far.
If Ren Baqian were to guilelessly stay in their base for a month, wouldn’t it turn to ruins?
At present, Ren Baqian was full of resentment. He felt as if he was on a holiday that he had planned for a very long time and had been looking forward to, but had run into transportation problems.
After waiting in the brig for two hours, the sky began to turn dark, and the waves grew larger.
The waves crashed into the submarine repeatedly, which caused it to sway violently.
Subsequently, raindrops the size of peas began to pour from the sky.
Ren Baqian heard the rain pattering against the metal hull and thought that he was lucky to be on a submarine. If he were to be on other types of ships, he would indeed be worried about getting capsized by the waves.
At present, the situation was only getting worse, but it still had yet to reach its worst.
Dentist and the brown-haired guy were also deeply worried.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAt this moment, noise could be heard from the outside. After communicating with the base, the sailors finally allowed those fishermen to come aboard the submarine, but confined them to a small area.
The fishing boat had already sunk to the sea bed by now.
Soon after, the submarine began to dive, avoiding the storm and the huge waves on the surface.
The wind and rain didn’t usually last very long on the ocean.
Two hours later, the sky cleared up after the rain, and a 30 meter long transport helicopter appeared above them.
Ren Baqian and the other two guys were moved to this helicopter. Inside, there was already a team of armed soldiers.
There were nine of them, the exact size of a combat squad.
Even though the helicopter cabin had nine people, the majority of the space was still empty.
Seeing the soldiers in the helicopter, the brown-haired guy hesitated for a moment. He weighed the risks of them fighting with Ren Baqian while airborne, but eventually decided to drop the idea.
He greeted them and exchanged a few words. The three of them sat in the middle of the cabin with Ren Baqian sandwiched in the center. It was as if they were real criminals.
“Hey, you haven’t told them anything weird that I don’t understand, right?” Ren Baqian was beaming from ear to ear.
“I don’t have to,” the brown-haired guy answered. “I don’t intend to die here with you, and I’m not ready to sacrifice my life for the nation just yet.”
“Great.” Ren Baqian smiled.
The soldiers around them looked at them suspiciously since they didn’t understand what they were talking about. However, their objective was to escort these three to the base, so they couldn’t be bothered with anything else.
A while later, Ren Baqian started to find it odd that the helicopter was actually flying toward the south instead of the east.
If they flew east, they would be heading toward that country’s largest naval base in East Asia.
That place was their original destination.
Since they were heading south, they were probably heading toward the Zhuo Shibao base, which was their largest helicopter and amphibious warship base. The Cong Shen base, where most of their ground forces were garrisoned, was nearby.
During the flight, Ren Baqian managed to have a close up experience of aerial refueling. After another two hours, the helicopter slowly descended. Unfortunately, he could only see the ocean from where he was seated and didn’t manage to get a full view of the base.
He clenched his fists and felt somewhat nervous.
After all, an ordinary person wouldn’t even dare to think about wreaking havoc in a military base that had thousands of soldiers. This was especially the case for someone who grew up on Earth like Ren Baqian—the formidable force of a military base was deeply rooted in the back of his mind.
Ren Baqian wondered if he was facing anxiety to actually have such crazy intentions.
However, on second thought, he wondered to what extent he could actually wreak havoc.
He could simply throw up the white flag and surrender if he couldn’t beat them.
The helicopter shook for a bit before landing steadily on the ground. The soldiers then stood up and said to the trio, “You can get out now.”
Once again, Dentist and the brown-haired guy sandwiched Ren Baqian from the front and back as they alighted from the helicopter.
Before he got out, he could already see a squad of armed soldiers waiting below.
In addition, there was one more squad of soldiers behind them. In total, there were four combat squads and over 30 soldiers.
For a normal person, it would already be sufficient if the number of soldiers was divided by 10.
Most importantly, this was a spacious site that was surrounded by lawns and barbed wire. The jetty wasn’t too far off to the side, and there were a few amphibious warships and a search vessel docked alongside.
There were soldiers and sentry points all over the place as well.
There were also forklifts driving around and large amounts of wooden crates piled up in a corner.
In fact, there happened to be a fleet of warships participating in a training exercise at this location with this base serving to provide logistical aid for the exercise.
It definitely wasn’t a coincidence that this exercise and the operation had happened at the same time.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmRen Baqian was transported around very swiftly these days. If he had arrived a few days later, this fleet of warships would have been sailing on its return journey and the size of their deterrent force would be greatly reduced.
However, he happened to arrive at this time, so they were overjoyed by this unexpected piece of good news.
“I’m Major Mark Wallace. Your plane will need another six hours before it can take off. Meanwhile, follow me,” greeted a caucasian man.
Without hesitation, the brown-haired guy started to run away while shouting, “Be careful! Seize him!”
All the soldiers were astonished. Weren’t all three of them already here? However, this only lasted for a split second before they collected themselves and successively drew out their weapons.
Ren Baqian had achieved his objective. He ignored the brown-haired guy and jumped straight at Major Mark Wallace. The major immediately felt as if a large tiger with a savage aura was pouncing on him.
When a tiger was hunting for prey, it could pounce a distance of about eight meters. If it ran up before leaping or jumped from higher ground, this distance would be even greater.
Even though Ren Baqian was much smaller than a tiger, his pounce felt extremely vigorous and vicious. In a flash, he pounced over 10 meters. This was one of the moves from the [Boxing of Death] that was used by the Dayao soldiers. It was specifically used to jump into the enemy’s battle formation and split the target in half with one strike of the blade before sweeping it across the people in the surroundings.
This jump and sweep was powerful enough to clear up the entire area.
Only the aboriginal army knew how to use such a vicious technique of mass slaughter.
Even though Ren Baqian didn’t have a blade in his hand, he pounced over and hammered down with 10,000 newtons of force in his fist.
Plop. Major Mark Wallace was immediately smashed like a watermelon as red and white bits splattered all over.
After that, Ren Baqian grabbed ahold of the corpse that had yet to collapse and swung it across, sending the five armed soldiers around him flying. He then threw the corpse at the soldiers behind him and dashed straight toward the group of people in front of him without even turning his head around.
These were all soldiers from the special forces and were highly reputable on Earth.
However, when Ren Baqian suddenly unleashed his wrath upon them, they had practically no means of retaliating. In an instant, they were all kicked and sent flying away. Their blood and guts spurted out in the air before they landed on the ground with no hope of survival.
The brown-haired guy and the squad of soldiers that had escorted Ren Baqian to the base were dumbfounded.
Five seconds. It only took Ren Baqian five seconds to pounce on the major, sweep his body across, and unleash his wrath upon the group of soldiers at the front. All of these soldiers lost their ability to continue fighting.
Half of the soldiers behind him were thrown off by that flying corpse. The remaining people unsafetied their weapons and took aim, but were completely unable to follow Ren Baqian’s movements and get a clear shot at him. When he was attacking this group of soldiers, his speed made it impossible for them to even escape.
The sight of this sent chills down the spines of everyone who witnessed it. Who were they really facing?
If he had unleashed his wrath while they were in the air… Just thinking of this alone made them tremble with fear.
